What's Donny hiding? It's funny that Don's too ignorant and proud to understand that this would simmer down and go away if he would STFU.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

He inadvertently admitted that the democrats' animus toward Trump, and the fact that their base is crumbling, is the real driving force behind the impeachment proceedings!

You really think there are just partisan reasons for some democrats wanting to impeach Donny? You conservatives are master mind readers.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

The report cited "McGahn's clear recollection" that the president directed him to tell Rosenstein that "Mueller has to go." McGahn did not carry out Trump's order, the report said.

Trump also tried unsuccessfully to get McGahn to dispute media reports that the president had attempted to fire Mueller, the report said

"Totally exonerated."

4 ( +6 / -2 )

I'm just saying, it's becoming quite clear that the dems are scared of losing to Trump, and this whole impeachment talk is fueled by that fear.

I agree that some of the impeachment talk is fueled by that fear. It's also fueled by concern for our country.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

I'm just saying, it's becoming quite clear that the dems are scared of losing to Trump, and this whole impeachment talk is fueled by that fear.

What a majority of Americans are scared of is the crime mob boss currently running our country - trying to destroy our democratic institutions as he cozies up to tyrants and dictators around the world.

Trump and his minions talk more about impeachment than any Democrat because they know it will further inflame his bamboozled base - the ones that believe there was a "coup", that Trump was sent by God, and that Hillary and Obama staged the fake moon landings...

Republicans in Congress have rejected the efforts of Democratic-led House committees as political gamesmanship intended to appeal to the Democratic Party's voting base ahead of the 2020 election.

You know, like when Kevin McCarthy slipped up and told the truth about Repub investigations into Benghazi...

https://edition.cnn.com/2015/10/14/politics/hillary-clinton-benghazi-committee/index.html

Or Trump raging in 2015 that President Obama should be more transparent by releasing his academic records...

https://www.cjr.org/watchdog/trump_transparency_hypocrisy.php

What a bunch of hypocrites...

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

The Democrats should take a hint from the Republicans, this balloon will deflate so faster than they can say collusion delusion. Let the Democrats hold Barr in contempt and then that’ll be that and let’s hope after this symbolic move is done we can all move on.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

instructed Don McGahn, its former counsel, to refuse to comply with a congressional subpoena for documents

Mnuchin on Monday denied a request by House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal for Trump's tax returns.

[Barr's] refusal to provide it with a full, unredacted version of Mueller's report and underlying evidence from the investigation.

Trump, his three oldest children and the Trump Organization also have sued Deutsche Bank AG and Capital One Financial Corp to try to block them from responding to U.S. congressional subpoenas issued by Democrats seeking financial records.

Most transparent presidency ever! And least corrupt!

3 ( +5 / -2 )

"with the clear understanding that the records remain subject to the control of the White House for all purposes."

Another example of the push for an executive uber alles. Trump and his followers have long said they want to undermine the Constitution (except the 2nd Amendment) to give even greater powers to Trump, the so called 'elite', and his corporate backers in the US and 'abroad'.

What's Trump afraid of the public learning about?

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

The White House records remain legally protected from disclosure under longstanding constitutional principles, because they implicate significant executive branch confidentiality interests and executive privilege

Um... too late. That's not how executive privilege works. Already waived when McGahn talked to Mueller. Can't put the toothpaste back in the tube, president Trump. So will McGahn risk contempt and jail for you? I seriously doubt that.

The establishment Dems may be a craven bunch of dithering milquetoasts, but they needn't fear a Trump Redux in 2020 'cos the orange blimp is right on course to self-destruct as his base becomes ever more disillusioned with his lies and empty promises. The day will surely come when the screen suddenly goes black for the grifting "Trumpy Soprano" cowering in his gilded "Swamp-a-Lago".

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

And more bad news for Donnie;

Today we learn David Bossie, one of his closest cronies was scamming elderly Republican supporters out of their money...

https://www.politico.com/story/2019/05/07/trump-campaign-david-bossie-1309709

Con-men and scam artists - that sums up Trump-world...

Yeah, about that.....Liberals are saying the same thing about this is going to bring Trump down and that is going to bring Trump down and to be brutally honest as long as the economy stays where it’s at, you can expect Trump to slide into 4 more years.

as his base becomes ever more disillusioned with his lies and empty promises.

I think his space and many more people waking up to the fact that all the lies and smears are actually not coming from the president, they’re coming from a more delusional party that is doing everything he possibly can to undermine and to take down the Dooley elect a president and so far everything other plans have backfired as this one is going to. Democrats keep trying and keep failing, they never learn and this is why they’ll never get toehold on power for too long.

The day will surely come when the screen suddenly goes black for the grifting "Trumpy Soprano" cowering in his gilded "Swamp-a-Lago".

2024 seems like a black screen appearance.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

@bas4 I think his space and many more people waking up to the fact that all the lies and smears are actually not coming from the president,

What? ROFL

@base take down the Dooley elect a president

I'd say most people questioning the tactics of Trump are more concerned about protecting the Constitution. Have any Trump opponents done something that's not Constitutionally allowed - beyond the inventions, imagination and alt facts of far right conspiracy theorists?

Most people opposing Trump's tactics want to preserve the republic and its democratic principles. Trump and many in his bass have long said they want they want those undermined, and are even allowing 'foreign' nations to meddle to help them.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

It seems that as the tables are turning against Obama’s holdovers in the FBI and intelligence agencies, Dems have become ever more shrill and unhinged. Mueller did not deliver the goods and the Left doesn’t know how to handle it. Now the walls are going to start closing in on those corrupt individuals like Comey, Clapper, Brennan, Strozk, and his mistress Lisa Page.

Dems in Congress are running cover for these corrupt officials. There is a sense of desperation coming from Nadler, Schiff, and Pelosi. The economy and employment levels are better now than at any time in a half century. Looking forward to seeing Barr issue his first indictments against these corrupt coup plotters.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

I'd say most people questioning the tactics of Trump are more concerned about protecting the Constitution.

Which ironically, Barr and the Republicans are trying to do and yet, the Democrats only focus is to do whatever it takes to bring this President down.

Have any Trump opponents done something that's not Constitutionally allowed - beyond the inventions, imagination and alt facts of far right conspiracy theorists?

Have any Trump haters done something that's not Constitutionally allowed - beyond the inventions, imagination and alt facts of far left conspiracy theorists?

Most people opposing Trump's tactics want to preserve the republic and its democratic principles. Trump and many in his bass have long said they want they want those undermined, and are even allowing 'foreign' nations to meddle to help them

Likewise, The Democrats are completely out of control they have been pushing Exults narrative, they keep riding the train of obstruction and yet they can’t drink anything remotely on charges that would qualify as obstruction they have tried to take this president down again and again but every time they shoot the key missing and for them the most important thing is not the constitution, they could care less about the constituents and all that they care about is trying to get rid of this president and impose their socialist ideology which in reality will never take root, they claim that income redistribution and big government is the answer when every single study shows the exact opposite. They colluded with a British spy in order to obtain and create a fake dossier to legitimize an illegal spy process.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Well 56% approve of his handling of the economy while 76% feel the economy is in very good shape, several polls now have Trump’s approval rating at between 46%-50%, and rising, 20/20 already in the bag.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

So what is it about no new charges or indictments does the CNN crowd find so hard to understand? There’s nothing new that will trouble Trump or Barr, the 2 yr investigation saw to that, move on nothing else to see folks.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

The Mueller "investigation" is over and the leftists wound up losing once again after rolling snake eyes on their hopes/dreams of overthrowing our duly elected government. Now, with every new news cycle the dems and their rapidly dwindling lemming voter base gets more and more agitated as Preident Trump's administration continues to tell them all to go pound sand.

This is what WINNING looks like.

The only coup is the one Donnie and Vlad schemed together on in 2016....Trump Tower Moscow apartment anyone?

Well 56% approve of his handling of the economy while 76% feel the economy is in very good shape, several polls now have Trump’s approval rating at between 46%-50%, and rising, 20/20 already in the bag.

Even with a strong economy inherited from President Obama, Trump can't even get more than 46% of Americans to support him - less than half. That's losing...

So what is it about no new charges or indictments does the CNN crowd find so hard to understand? There’s nothing new that will trouble Trump or Barr, the 2 yr investigation saw to that, move on nothing else to see folks.

Sure, Trump tries to obstruct justice over 10 times, seven of his closest associates are indicted for lying about Russia, and Mueller concluded Russia engaged in a "sweeping and systematic" attack on our democracy - and Trumpers want to sweep it all under the rug... They're selling out our country to Russia...

This is what WINNING looks like.

As spoken by Vladimir Putin...

And once Donnie starts another Middle East war with Iran, he'll be winning more as Russian oil revenues increase - it's all part of the plan to Make Russia Great Again - and America weak...

1 ( +4 / -3 )

You're proven yourselves un-American

Gee who crowned you Captain America, you may need a lesson in how to accept that others have an opinion that differs to your own, Trump would be the best thing that has happened to America in decades, great economic figures, no wars started while trying to forge better relations with world powers, a President who is decisive and.backs his decisions, many believe that America lost its way under Obama and bowed down too often to other world leaders, well not any more.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

White House defies Congress

It's just the out of control, looney Democrat controlled House that's the problem, which will be rectified in 2020.

Mueller time is OVER. Time to pay the Barr tab, Democrats. It's gonna be a great summer, I already gots the popcorn ready!

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Donnie and Vlad schemed together on in 2016

Linc.

You can’t seem to shake this self perceived conspiracy theory that there was collusion between your President and Putin, please email Mueller’s office if you have any proof mind you I’m not sure he’ll be in as the Russian probe is over and he’s gone home mate.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

The only coup is the one Donnie and Vlad schemed together on in 2016....Trump Tower Moscow apartment anyone?

Not according to Mueller.

Even with a strong economy inherited from President Obama

No, 1.6% GDP is not even close to being remotely strong. 3.6% GDP is roaring though

Mueller time is OVER. Time to pay the Barr tab, Democrats. It's gonna be a great summer, I already gots the popcorn ready!

Breaking! It would seem the DOJ have just announced that if Nadler tries to hold Barr in contempt the WH will exert executive privilege. As I have been saying over and over again, the Dems keep losing, they need to just give up and move forward.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Ha, key word you used is "would" be. Trump doesn't have great economic figures, we haven't seen them yet. You don't seem to know how economic reform works. I'll give you a hint, it doesn't happen over night. No wars? We're just getting started with Iran. Get ready, gonna be bumpy.

Ongoing investigation. Wray didn’t say it didn’t happen he said inappropriate to talk about it now.

At another point, Wray was asked if he felt the federal government "spied into the 2016 presidential election," and replied that he didn’t "think it would be right or appropriate" to share his thoughts and that he wanted to respect an ongoing investigation by the Department of Justice inspector general into aspects of the Russia inquiry

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Spying happened. It’s either authorized and legal spying (which we then call surveillance) or its unauthorized and illegal which is spying.

comey said none of this happened yet he knows what is coming. so he now admits something was done with “limited tools” whatever that means. Which is a big change from “it’s a conspiracy theory and we didn’t do anything at all”.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Spying happened.

It didn't.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Sure it did. Libs just have to hope they can prove it was” legal” somehow.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

No, you have to prove it did, over the numerous denials by the FBI, Republican congresspeople, and even Donald Trump, who accepts that Trump Tower was not wiretapped.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

The only coup is the one Donnie and Vlad schemed together on in 2016....Trump Tower Moscow apartment anyone?

Not according to Mueller.

Really? Then why did he indict seven of Trump's closest associates? Why did he indict 26 Russians and 3 Russian organizations?

Even with a strong economy inherited from President Obama

No, 1.6% GDP is not even close to being remotely strong. 3.6% GDP is roaring though

Wrong. Obama had a 5.1% qtr growth in 2nd qrt 14 - Trump has come no where near that - in fact the latest numbers for 1st qtr was lower than before. This stuff about Trump being great for the economy is a big fairly tale...

Losing is conspiring to allow a foreign government to interfere in our election - right Mitch?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Haha, Trump just admitted to committing tax fraud on Twitter. What a putz.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Spying happened.

It didn't.

Sure. And China isn't stealing any technology.

lincolnman - The only coup is the one Donnie and Vlad schemed together on in 2016....Trump Tower Moscow apartment anyone?

Or the coup attempted by the Democrat Party in collusion with Fusion GPS, in collusion with Christopher Steele, in collusion with Bruce and Nellie Ohr, in collusion with the FBI's lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, with a touch of James Comey thrown in for good measure. The investigation into the investigators will continue.

Meanwhile, the elected Democrats will eventually have to ask a judge to force whomever they subpoena to comply with their politically biased subpoena. Of course, the Democrats will have to come up with a better reason than their usual Trump Derangement Syndrome babble. The judge will, of course, deny the subpoena based on the Democrats complete lack of understanding of U.S. law. The Democrats can only hope that they find a judge as emotional distraught as they are.

Great X Files episode....

Of course the judge will deny - that's how it works in Russia, and China, and nKorea, and Iran....all those countries Trumpers want the US to become like....

Trump wants Communism? Now that’s some funny news. Lol

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

@bas4 Trump wants Communism?

No. He wants some form of authoritarianism. However, most likely he wants the pole opposite of communism on the authoritarian/totalitarian spectrum, the far right pole. Just like so many of his supporters.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Trump wants Communism? Now that’s some funny news. Lol

Not as funny as your failure to understand the comment to which you are replying. Donny wants to be an authoritarian dictators, not a communist.

That was a weak deflection even for you.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

No. He wants some form of authoritarianism. However, most likely he wants the pole opposite of communism on the authoritarian/totalitarian spectrum, the far right pole. Just like so many of his supporters.

Ok, so just more frustrating outbursts from liberals. I get it, they need to vent.

Donny wants to be an authoritarian dictators, not a communist.

Apparently, you haven’t been watching the Democrats meltdown as to where they want to take this country and Capitalism is definitely NOT their first choice.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Donny wants to be an authoritarian dictators, not a communist.

It’s nice to have a good chuckle in the morning. Thanks so much. Please let me know when you think Trump is going to declare martial law and surround the Congress building with troops.

Trump haters, Obama haters, always good for a laugh. Be careful, or you’ll soon be questioning things like the laws of physics.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

When will Trump surround Congress with troops? Not sure, when did he say he wanted his military parade?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Sneezy - When will Trump surround Congress with troops?

You should probably submit your question to the Democrat Party's leadership. They are the ones most likely to float that rumor. Or wait for the usual news media outlets to cut and paste the Democrat Party's opinion/claims/rumors as fact.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

lincolnman - Of course the judge will deny

At least we can agree about that.

Elected Democrats have become truly desperate. Barr is investigating the investigators. Tick, tock, tick, tock. And the WH has decided that they've had enough of these Democrat Party fishing expeditions. The FBI will be expected to explain why Comey was leaking information about ongoing investigations, and why those two lovebirds, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, were actively undermining the campaign of a Presidential candidate. Nadler will be expected to explain why he expects an Attorney General to violate federal law by releasing grand jury information, or be held in contempt of Congress.
