The country does not love you and we do not need you back in any form. Ever. What you have done to the country is unforgivable.
noriahojanen
But I already see him lowing into the tub of molten steel...
dagon
Has Trump or his speechwriters started reading science fiction? Maybe watching Dragonball.
PTownsend
Nutshell. And it could be some of that damage cannot be repaired. The divisions along all sorts of social and economic lines have been there since Europeans first stepped on what became the US, but Trump has widened them further. That some Trump followers LOL and har har at the problems Trump's leaving behind says they'll continue supporting his divisive tactics.
Numan
Ironically, just like COVID-19 infections!

That is not going to happen unless this banana republic changes it from bottom to top.

Bye bye Trump. Go and crawl back under your rock.
Pukey2
Yes, you will be back in some form....
as a prison inmate.

Good riddance. Look forward to seeing you back in the form of a defendant in various civil and criminal proceedings.

Bye bye!

Trump is a vile, vulgar, petty, vindictive human being. I am glad that he is no longer the face of our country.
JJ Jetplane
@OssanAmerica
I'm glad to see him out of office. But we can't ignore the fact or forget that over 70 million people voted for him. That is still very worrisome. Sadly, the country isn't going to heal or get better any time soon.
The impeachment could strip him of his post presidential benefits and stop him from holding a federal office again. However, it will still give him a platform and relevancy.
Midnight Sun Tribe
Like most malignant things, he will fester along with his democracy-hating ilk and will in some pestilent, anti-American form be back.

''We will be back in some form'' To face a barrage of court cases.
''Have a good life''....What!? LOL!
Nippori Nick
Exactly. He will be a 1TW (One Term Wonder) and kids in schools decades will not will wonder how the US voted in such a psychopathic president..
Nippori Nick
Typo--I meant to say kids in schools decades from now will wonder how the US voted in such a psychopathic president..
Alex
How obnoxiously deluded is he .....

Lowest unemployment, great GDP, booming stock market, focus on secure borders, freedom of religion, didn't pay taxpayers money in cash to terorist nations or into unfair climate change arrangements, and lowered the national debt, and helped make peace in the middle east, but despite these facts people all say he was the worst president. I think he was one of the best based on these facts.

@OssanAmerica
Let's hope that a lot of them are just staunch Republican supporters who weren't very impressed with Biden or would never vote for a Democrat. I suspect that those kinds of people will abandon Trump when the Republicans find a more viable candidate for 2024, especially if his various financial and legal issues play out as badly for him as they might.
benToday 08:29 am JST
Those aren't the only facts people are basing their opinions on though, are they.
Stewie
Hopefully next time we see Trump his new title will be "The Defendant."
ben
Could you expand on the facts (like measurable criteria) that make the current and pre-Trump admins' policies that make for a good administration to do what a Govt is supossed to do?
quercetum
You will be back, back for the trial on impeachment.
Jsapc
If you're racist, hate the environement and love giving money to rich people to make them even richer, then yeah, he probably was one of the best for you.
JJ Jetplane
@Ben
I don't think you fully understand economics. These were all trends that appeared and started in the Obama presidency well before he finished his second term. You can't take over an already rising economy and say "I'm the reason its going up," when it started three years before your appointment. Typically a new President's first four years are a result of the prior administration.
Jimizo
Trump was noted as a scammer and a conspiracy theorist before he became president. He was promoting birtherism and been in court for racist policies regarding accommodation long before 2016.
I heard he was good on the apprentice though.
ulysses
He’ll be back soon, in courts.
Criminal courts, bankruptcy courts and probably family courts........
TorafusuTorasan
In some form--is this a guessing game? Animal, mineral, vegetable?
The music as he left was odd. I know Trump and his mentor Roy Cohn were always out at the NYC clubs like Studio 54, but there are better disco era tunes than YMCA. Then the old Sinatra song My Way. For my money, Sammy Davis Jr was the most talented of the Rat Pack. He would sometimes go into percussion/ vocals only medleys that are still amazing to watch today. A Long Way From St. Louis would have been my pick to ride off to.

You've got yo be kidding! He blew out the national debt. The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump's time in office.
BakabonPapa
Too bad they took him to Florida. There's a very nice facility at Guantanamo Bay - just a little further south - that would be a much better destination for him.

This is all entirely untrue.

He should have had a Beatles song playing in the background.....maybe that really appropriate one for him titled, 'I'm a Loser' !!

The plane then taxied and lifted off as Frank Sinatra's classic song "My Way" played.
Frank wouldn't have liked that. He despised Trump. Trump tried to hire Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr, (who had recently been diagnosed with cancer and really needed the work to pay for treatment in the famously wonderful American healthcare system) for 12 nights at the 1990 opening of his Atlantic City Casino.
Cheap-ass Trump thought the price was too steep, so asked Eliot Weisman, Sinatra's agent "How much would it be without the N*****?"
Frank's agent nervously conveyed the message to Sinatra, who thought about it for a moment and came up with a solution:
"We have two choices: either tell Mr. Trump to go f*** himself, or give me his number and I will do it myself"
Mr. Weisman told Trump to go f*** himself, and Old Blue Eyes played the Sands in Vegas instead - with Sammy.
I am delighted beyond measure to see an end to this preposterous chapter in American history.

"So just a goodbye. We love you. We will be back in some form,"
The sad words of a forlorn farewell spoken by a tongue-tied lifelong loser, revealing, as ever, the wretched humanity of the real Donald Trump. It was a pathetic sight to see the lonely, shrunken figure of Trump all but stripped of his pomp and adulation and listen to the incoherent rambling of an incompetent, word-poor vulgarian who, lacking any sign of self-awareness, made a half-hearted, last-minute attempt to enumerate his imagined achievements while in denial over his legacy of American carnage and silent about his broken oath and promises. In the end, as he was about to fly off into his Florida exile, he truly looked what he has always been for those of us with eyes in our head: a wannabe "king with no clothes".
"Have a good life. We will see you soon."
From now on he and his family won't have a good life after his greedy attempt to usurp the power he was singularly unfit for and grab the honor and fame he never deserved. And, yes, we will undoubtedly see him again, and again and again - in the courtrooms of America, the country he failed and was unable to MAGA.
Antiquesaving
Ok let's point a few things out. Yes over 70 million votes for Trump but a large portion only did so because they had just 2 choices.
The facts are the majority of Americans disapprove of him, the 50% thing is a bit inaccurate.
His approval is at about 34% and much of that is due to a false view he did well on the economy which will soon be shown to be smoke and mirrors.
The Republican party only has 26% of the electorate ( Democrats 31%)
So the often pointed to "he has 75% of Republicans approval" doesn't mean 75% of those that voted for him. It means 75% of the 26% of the electorate that are still with the Republican party in other words about 19% of the electorate.
The majority of independent voters that make up 41% of the electorate disapprove of him and just about 100% of the members of the Democratic party disapprove of him.
So he actually has not much more than 19% and even a good part of that will soon realise how things really are once the facts start coming out.
Desert Tortoise
Laughable. Mr. Trump's policies gave licence to religious discrimination. When somebody can refuse another person service in a business because they say their religion is offended, that is not religious freedom but legal discrimination that if allowed to flourish become religious tyranny.
Attilathehungry
Let's not forget other Trumpian facts:
Middle East peace deals
American energy independence
Re-signing of USMCA
Dead terrorists like al-Baghdadi and Sulemani (sp)
Three Supremes
No North Korean rockets flying over Japan
No new wars
Increasing his vote amongst minorities
I wish President Biden nothing but the best, and hope he can continue forward on some of these issues.
Desert Tortoise
One of the great ironies of Donald Trump is how he made lowering the trade deficit such a big part of his platform. Then he lowers taxes and increases the current accounts deficit which is really the whole reason the US runs a huge trade deficit. He engaged in many futile trade wars with the US allies, its immediate neighbors and especially China but the overall trade deficit is at an all time high. All those T-Bills the Fed has to sell to finance the national debt become the means by which America's trade partners soak up their excess US dollars, artificially inflating the value of the dollar while also keeping the value of their own currency artificially low against the dollar. Thus the terms of trade are kept perpetually in favor of America's trade partners. The only way the US will ever reduce its trade deficit is to run a balance budget or preferably one with a surplus. The last two years of the Clinton administration showed this is possible to do if a nation puts its mind to it. This should be the goal of the final two years of the Biden administration. No, I'm not holding my breath because too many politicians still think the solution to every economic problem is a tax cut. It isn't, but try to convince those lawmakers.

A sad but very believable story about the casino concerts. Trump must

Trump must not have been much of a fan if he did not know how those guys worked as a unit. When they were backed by the Count Basie band, Sinatra and Dean Martin were about the only white guys in the show.

By giving Israel everything it wanted and ignoring all UN and Palestinian needs.
25% of USA needs are supplied by Canada under an agreement which Canada cannot turn off the flow unless it wants to do a Trump and break agreements.
Yes after the GOP broke their own promise not to appoint any in the last year if a presidency.
But NK has vastly increased it Nuclear capabilities unchecked.
Due to grassroots movements by black women like Stacey Abrams that despite GOP and Trump's efforts to suppress black voters turn out. Still succeeded in doing so, lets not forget that Trump tried to have the votes in primarily black areas thrown out.
Ok now the facts have been checked and the Trump lies corrected.

LOVE THE TRUMPS! AMERICA FIRST!

@Raw Beer--if Trump is a man of the people, he should tell his well-wishers that there is a half hour buffet of fast food and booze at Mar-a-lago. Then he could witness these schlub supporters rioting first hand.

Yes indeed, after The Apprentice, and my four years of playing a President, you'll see "The Trumps" on their next media venture - "Court TV". You'll see Donald, Don Jr, Eric, Ivanka, and Jared try to beat indictment and a trial for a multitude of tax and insurance fraud crimes dating back decades... Hosted by Kellyanne Conway...
The Stormy Daniels DVDs are in the lower left drawer...
Eric is upstairs locked in his room - he's your problem now...
If you haven't received your COVID vaccination yet, the Clorox is on the table...
Whatever you do, DO NOT hire Rudy Giuliani as your lawyer...

Let me quote wikipedia:
"During his 2016 election campaign and presidency, Trump has been highly critical of NAFTA (oftentimes describing it as "perhaps the worst trade deal ever made") while extolling USMCA as "a terrific deal for all of us." However, the USMCA is very similar to NAFTA, carrying over many of the same provisions and making only modest, mostly cosmetic changes, and is expected only to make only a minor economic impact. Former U.S. Trade Representative Mickey Kantor, who oversaw the signing of NAFTA during the Bill Clinton administration, said, "It's really the original NAFTA."
There you go, the Trump presidency in a nutshell. A lot of noise and chest-thumping for absolutely nothing.

A Republican draws a big crowd in Florida. That's not much to boast about really.
Attilathehungry
Antiqiue: ignoring the UN and the Pals was a great idea. The Israelis and the Arab states count for more. It was Former Secretary of State Kerry who said, if I remember correctly, that no peace deals were possible without the Palestinians. Oops. Also Trump moved the US embassy to the actual capital of Israel, Jerusalem. Presidents had been promising to do so for decades, he did it.
Trump's clever prioritizing of courts will have a positive impact on America for years to come.
Trump's share of the minority vote actually rose between the two elections. By 25% among blacks and 15% among Hispanics. Strange for that to happen with a "racist" candidate...

No, I am afraid you won't!

Trump didn't negotiate any peace deals. Only Democrats have done that. He "normalized" relations. Right-wing media presented it as peace deals and you lacked the knowledge to understand the difference so you are repeating their message. They counted on your low information status.
Now that it's been exposed that you were tricked, as a good Trump supporter you should defend the fact that you were duped. You lack the self confidence to do anything different.
Harry_Gatto
You did but then, you didn't.

Tromp : "So just a goodbye. We love you. We will be back in some form,"
Me : "Kick rocks. I don't. Please don't!!"

So, Trump cultists --
Mount Rushmore? Nope.
Nobel Peace Prize? Nope.
Time magazine "Person of the Year?" Nope.
Any accomplishments at all (that are not going to be immediately undone by Biden)? Nope.
Well ... what, then?
Just this: "Worst President in US History"
(But stay tuned for the trials, the convictions, the appeals, the sentences, the orange jumpsuits, the jailings, and more Rudy!)
starpunk
Cheap-ass indeed. All Trump thinks about himself, and in this case - lots of moolah. And to think, his now shut down Trump Palace is going to be demolished early next month. How about playing 'Demolition Man' by The Police as a soundtrack when that occurs?

If you find the Kraken, tell him for me "thanks alot"...

It was a pathetic send off to the most pathetic president in American history .
Hilarious to see Ivanka and don jr shedding tears, they know difficult times are coming.
And in case they didn't know they can be extradited from Florida!!!!

This makes no sense. Trump hasn't actually accomplished anything of particular note in regard to Middle East peace between Israel and the various conflicts it is in. The main sticking points have always been the fate of Palestinian territories (still unresolved) the settlement of disputes with bordering states which don't have normalized relations, Syria and Lebanon (still unresolved) and the settlement with states that don't border Israel but have been involved in fighting either directly or indirectly like Iraq and Iran (also still unresolved).
He got Morrocco and the UAE, two insignificant states that are hundreds of miles away and have never played any role in the wars, to normalize relations with Israel. That is IT.
So? He moved an office. Its a symoblic gesture. It pissed off a lot of people. It provided no tangible benefits. It made it more difficult for the US to play any role in achieving peace among the actors who actually matter.
There were valid reasons why no previous president was stupid enough to do it.
starpunk
He also wanted a Trump Garden of statues in South Dakota. Nope.
A Fort Trump based in Poland. Nope.
A 'big beautiful Berlin-ish wall at the Mexican border with barbed wire, trenches with moats filled with alligators, security watchtowers, landmines, coast-to-coast - and Mexico paying for it' Nope.

@Attilathehungry
Saying Trump gains more Black voters is a bit of a stretch.
87% voted for Biden. Not much of a gain.
As for The Latin vote, Trump had little or nothing to do with that.
The vast majority were White Cuban voters which the GOP did a great job causing fear in that community that Biden and The Democrats were basically communist.
But then the White Cuban community longs for the good old days like White Trump supporters, a return to Cuba where a White Elite owned 90% of all the land and the darker Latine did all the work for pennies.
Right in line with Trump and his following.
Oh and you conveniently ignored voter suppression.
Ego Sum Lux Mundi
The last few days have been very difficult, but I chose to persevere to the end. Strangely, my hope has reinvigorated in me the will to keep fighting.
One thing that I have realized is: those laughing at us for having hope are very pitiful.
Why would anyone rejoice at those who dared to hope that people could take back control of their country or their lives? What kind of person would rejoice at the idea that a powerful group of people could have so much control over our lives that they could play with us in this way?
When everything seems lost and hopeless... Comforting words can reinvigorate our spirits: Luke 24:36-49.
Jsapc
Why wouldn't everyone rejoice when they see white suprematists, nazis and confederate flag-wavers fail to violentely assault the Capitol, kidnap senators and "hang Mike Pence"? And then get subsequently arrested? Only very bad people wouldn't rejoice when they see evil losing.
