Macron is a world class statesman. Thank you France for electing him as your president.

@Crazy Joe, agree. I believe Macron can, and will, reinvent the role of the President. He's been perfect so far, especially on the international stage. Warm and friendly with Trudeau and Merkel, firm yet open with Trump and Putin.

Both sides though sought to present Putin's visit, which was intended to mark 300 years since Tsar Peter the Great visited France, as an occasion to relaunch Franco-Russian relations.

Hence the 'red carpet' stuff. Versailles is as good a place as any to hold talks with a guy like Putin. One can be firm and frank, and Macron was, and at the same time respect/value the rich shared history between the 2 nations.

tthe moron left wing socialists in Europe and America might want to reconsider constantly attempting to blame Russia for everything they don't like happening.

I provided a link in support of my claim. Kindly reciprocate

And please note that Putin did not send senators and officials to instigate local populace against its government. Check for MacCain and Nuland at Kiev in 2014.

Enjoy

Thanks. I expected Putin sites and got them. I'm aware of MCain's involvement in Ukraine and also of Clinton's. I do not support what they did and what I have to think is still being done by US intelligence services. I don't support countries interfering with other's politics. What's going on in Ukraine and other 'borderland' countries is problematic, in large part because of the history of other countries interfering with their politics. Germany, Russia, the USSR quickly come to mind.

Russia is big enough it should be able to take care of itself without trying to re-establish its empire. Same with the US and China.

End colonialism.

Here you are again. Just dismiss any outlet that does not support the anti-Russian hysteria as "Putin sites" and everybody who do not agree with that hysteria as "Putinbot" or "Russian", huh? Very primitive tactics. Will you stick to facts and logical arguments?

Germany, Russia, the USSR quickly come to mind

You forgot about the US and NATO, with their rich history of aggressions against countries that in no way can be described as "borderland" to them..

End colonialism.

Just for curiosity's sake, could you please share a list of current Chinese and US colonies.

Putin and Russia got blamed from people who committed worse. What else is new. In term of media, the irony here is that there is only one from Russia while the rest is from the West. I read them everyday I should know. The fact that Macron can't understand this shows how ignorant he is. He's just another arrogant hypocrite. Putin is already too jaded with this same attitude. Macron tries hard but in the end Merkel is the one who calls the shot. He just have to follow her lead.
