I remember that Hiroshima was going to do 800,000 PCR tests, we decorated all our headlines last week.
What happened to that?

I'm sure they're still considering it.
But they better get a move on if they want to test everyone by their goal of March.
No need to rush these things though...
:)

that undetected infections could spread quickly during the Lunar New Year holiday, which is just weeks away.
As long as the mainland chinese do not overrun Japan during the Lunar New Year Holiday, I feel safe!

Months ago Tokyo was to increase testing to 200,000/day, then 100,000, then 60,000.
Still, we are at an average of 5,000-8,000 day.
Hiroshima... I’d guess nothing is happening.
Glad to see China doing some mass testing though, thats how you find clusters and control spread.

No thanks, cash will do, and no strings attached.
In fact, forget the cash. We should all just shun China and Chinese products.
Sceptical
That's very easy to say isn't it. Have you checked your shirts or shoes, your computer or your keyboards? We're all sucked into this "cheap China thing." While they have the means, they should take the responsibilities for what they caused to the whole world.

China seems to be making much more effort than many countries to solve the problem, much more than Japan does. Where I live, which is not so far from Tokyo, supermarkets and other shops do not even check the temperature of customers.
Don't knock China when it does the right thing.
Sceptical
Even (if) CCP conducting their mass testing outside of China is not to be considered out of ordinary. They have the moral obligation to do that. They have to supply the whole world of the equipments ( not defective) for testing for free.

Which will arrive first - Hiroshima testing or vaccines?
Mickelicious
For a second I saw that as
Beijing launches mass virus.
Good grief!

The right thing in China is ALWAYS the wrong thing, since when have China been credited with doing something right, OOPS I meant wrong?
Zaphod
Was this written for the Onion, or is Reuters taking the figures published by the CCP at face value??
Runtu DaHilz
The CCP is using PCR testing as a cover for DNA collection.
