Britain unveils fighter jet model

That look suspiciously like an f-35!

Definitely looks like an F-35. The British RAF museum outside London has an F-35 airframe on display where it is clear that BAE is the sponsor.

It always seemed foolish to me for Japan and Europe to buy F-35s with all the maintenance strings that come attached to it.

Hopefully, the Brits won't do what they always do and design using single-plane parts that are all custom. Unless there are enough orders, that model can't be sustained.
