Unelected despot Xi should keep his big mouth shut instead of threatening other people. Why doesn't he explain how his family acquired all their wealth instead?

Communism has no tolerance for free thought, so it crushes it whenever it appears. They are lax on Hong Kong because they need the foreign investment, but the day will come when the iron fist of communism destroys that prosperity.

Indeed. Wealth rules in China and the gaps between the lifestyles of the rich and poor are staggering. They're basically living the Objectivist dream.

The problem with China is a single-party authoritarian state, not communism.

"single-party authoritarian state, not communism."

that sounds familiar.

The day will come when the PLA march into Hong Kong. The writing is on the wall.

Alternative title:

"China's xi warns Hong kong to toe the line as he swears in new CCP puppet"

It is Xi who is toeing the red line. The man is the puppet, the dictator representing the fake communists that do not tolerate democracy, have no respect for human rights, for any rights of the people for that matter. The day will come that the nation rises against the state and claim their right to choose their leaders, not self appointed ruthless ones a la Mao Tse tong the reformer mass murderer.

Hong Kong housing is getting expensive from all the Chinese coming over and speculation = many HK are leaving to Taiwan. Gov has been filibustering = hard to get legislation to approve new housing and land to build upon is scarce.

They are already with us, though to be fair to them, they are one "department" of the Chinese government that has stayed on its side of the fence.

The PLA already marched into HK on the first day of the turnover 20 eons ago.

It's a big wonder some people aren't aware of that part of history or are just trying to sensationalize fake news to foment fear or just feign dementia simultaneously just in case. Lol!

Hong Kong is a much better place than the ' Island of Giant Bases' occupied and used as burial grounds of agent orange by the colonizer Amerikano who steadfastly refused to hear and respect the inherent sacred sovereign voices of the Ryukyuan people for them to leave and go to Guam or Clark where they are more than welcome.

It's hypocritical for people to criticize China for taking care of business in their own land while turning a blind and black eye to the annexation of the Ryukyus ala Crimea by the Amerikano invaders and their Japanese puppets who are still suffering from the Stockholm Syndrome.

HK is part of China while Okinawa is not part of Japan, USA!

The People of Hong Kong should tell this guy running China to take a hike!

My reference was to Tiananmen Square. You didn't get it because that was before your time.

Hahaha! Nice try! Obviously!

Quick! Somebody feign confusing the Great Wall with TAM Square! Lol!

As I said, only hypocrites find fault in Xi making a mere speech in HK, which is a part of China, then hyping it in an attempt to create fear and panic just like the fake news gurus that the Donald batteredly exposed and fried while at the same time seemingly and willingly suffering from sweet amnesia when it comes to the Amerikano colonization of Okinawa before his time! Lol!

@OssanAmerica:  The PLA garrison has 'ALREADY' stationed in Hong Kong. the army, navy and airforce has their attachment in Hong Kong for twenty years! This is one of the committment as a done deal with the British government during the negotiations of Hong Kong in 1980s. They have a legal ground to stay there!Open your eyes and stop rehtotical languages!

When is Xi going to warn North Korea to toe the line?
