EU drug regulator says it is up to countries to decide how to handle AstraZeneca

Several countries in Europe have announced restrictions on the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine in younger people, after a link was found to very rare blood clots, mostly in women under 60 years of age within two weeks of vaccination.

While the risk is likely real, keep in mind that the risk of blood clots from birth control pills is much higher.

The bottom line is that the benefits of the vaccine far outweigh the risks.
