I'm still hopeful my country will be able to defend its borders like every other country on earth.

The small boys are doing it in their pants :)

Why are Republicans always shutting down the government or threatening to? Don't they have any real negotiating skills?

Shut it down long enough to pay off the debt the last two presidents racked up.

He said Mexico will pay for the wall.

Enough volunteers here with bricklaying skills!

Amusing as always those Trumpists :)

Tonight on late night TV in my home country: Stormy Daniels..

Stormy does Europe !

You don’t have to lower the decorum!

Considering how often your responses to things literally (and I mean literally, not the exagerration) don't match the thing you are responding to, I've honestly wondered if you have literacy issues. I really cannot figure out if you do it on purpose to detract from the silly things you've said, or if you really don't realize that your responses are gibberish.

You may be entirely illiterate, but there is definitely room for question there.

And this is no dig, just a non-biased outside description of what you write here.

if Congress funds Trump's albatross of a wall it means he is breaking a campaign promise, don't you?

How so?

Katsu - Spot on.

The US has borders. Claiming that no borders means no country and that the US has no borders is employing blatantly faulty logic.

You conservatives do understand that if Congress funds Trump's albatross of a wall it means he is breaking a campaign promise, don't you? Or, are you going to engage in your familiar pattern of intellectual dishonesty to justify getting an unnecessary money pit?

No borders, no Country. Do it President Trump.

This time, I sure hope he does.

Trump shutting down the government is the best present he could possibly give to the democrats this year. Go for it. Hell, how much do we have to all chip in to get a reporter in the WH pool to ask, "What do you have to say to all the people who say you're a weak coward if you won't shut down the government to get your wall funding before elections?"

Even if no one is actually saying it, there is no way he knows how to back down from that kind of challenge.

reverse his stance...

So, was Trump lying about making Mexico pay for the wall?

You beat me to it.

But don't confuse lying with day dreaming and childish fantasies. Trump can't tell the difference, but we have to indulge him as we would with any toddler.

So, was Trump lying about making Mexico pay for the wall?

Were his lips moving?

Seems to me the Dear Leader is desperately trying to have himself 'FIRED' from the job rather than resign/retire gracefully, or suffer the "death by a thousand cuts" Mueller has planned for him, because then he can play the victim, whinging and whining about how misunderstood and badly treated he was, for the rest of his miserable life.

Do it! That will bode well for the election.

No borders, no Country. Do it President Trump.

But we think the best time to have that discussion is after the election," McConnell said.

Because GOP policies are so toxic they will cost them seats. A popular party tries to legislate as much as possible before an election; an unpopular one tries to hide their policies until after.

party leaders wanted "no drama" ahead of the Nov 6 election

Oops...

I think USA is unsafe on your existence than any border wall around, Mr. Trump.
