Let's see, no vaccine, check. No effective, available treatment yet, check. No herd immunity (approx 65% of the population), check. So what's to stop a second wave from occurring as what occurred in the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic? Nothing that I see except continued lockdowns.

Sweden still doesn't have a lockdown and they're fairing fine.

Who in the world would trust these figures coming from China? A bad joke! We have all learnt NOT to trust China after this global tragedy which has only caused death and suffering. The CCP should stop lying and cheating. No wonder there has been a rise in hate speech against Chinese people.

My thoughts on these "new cases in China" is that we should treat fiction as fiction.

If we want to talk about data, we should limit ourselves to data from countries that are at least somewhat believable.

I doubt China's report. They are worse than the current WH administration when it comes to honesty, and that is saying a lot. China, the country where the virus actually began, had only 46, and NK has had 0, while countries like the US just broke the record for the largest number of deaths in a single day at 2,000.

Chinese nationals need to be barred from entering all countries. They clearly have no concern for spreading the virus to other countries, as we’ve plainly seen.

Lets make difference between individuals and government policy. I dont think many indivudal people went around infecting others on purpose. But the CCP policy was clearly to lie about the virus problem in Wuhan to the world (while isolating towns inside China) and tell the world (with assistance from its mouthpiece the WHO) to keep the borders open and not stop flights from China. Their interest was clearly to spread the disease as much as possible. The blame for a lot of the world-wide deaths from Corona is clearly on the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.

The numbers are dubious. There was that stretch of four days where they all of a sudden had zero. what us your take?

2) The virus was unleashed to the US to retaliate for Trump forcing Xi to sign the trade deal.

There are lawmakers who believe the virus is a part of the trade war.

Try not to scoff at the latter idea. I don’t doubt CCP wouldn’t pull something like this off

...which means 86 death/million, much lower than the figures from France, Spain, Italy, UK with their strict quarantene policy.

Anyway, all these figures have lots of variables which are hard to compare, so I don´t put too much value on them. But singling out Sweden as an argument for strict authoritarian control does not work.

The CCP's virus has after spreading inwards, has spread outwards, and is now coming back home to roost again. It does not distinguish between Race or Color of your Skin... though I can understand certainly understand the complaints that this poor chap was venting during the confrontation being video'd at the time - his staff had been taken away, but he with a diplomatic passport was left untouched. Every time there is a bad news of any kind in any country there is always delay in recognition of the facts because no one wants to be the first to announce the bad news. China was not exception, they got shocked in to confusion but not for the long time. What followed was the same kind of refusal to believe them and the obvious and to act in time, by just about every government in the most populated and most traveled countries. India and Canada almost as slow as Japan. So where China slipped by few days others procrastinated for up to a month. China is least to blame.

The Who, an organization that is supposed to be independent, has been a mouthpiece for the CCP since the start of this. They new in November that they had the makings of a pandemic but kept quiet about it. That is laughable. If China only had a "delay in recognition", then why was it two months, plus 41 individuals were already in hospital with this new virus by 2 January:

Are you confusing the CCP with "China"? Everybody here had only good things to say about e.g. Taiwan. It is the mainland Chinese Communist Party that is to blame for the for the proverbial creek we are in.

I pretty much agree with you.  It is the CCP government and their policies to blame. But let's not forget that there are many individuals who support their government's ideology and policies and serves as a mouthpiece for them.

Regardless. But what is the reason and interest for CCP to spreading this disease as much as possible?  

The Chinese Communist Party and their supporters has never kept it secret that they want China to be a superpower and dominate Asia and the rest of the world economically and ideologically. I wouldn't doubt for a minute the CCP for deliberately infecting their own people (without telling them), letting them go about their business, travel around the world unwittingly infecting everyone else. We can see the results of this mass infection: industry disruption and shut down, destroying economies. Then you have the socializing effect of the virus: social distancing, fear and the resultant demoralization of the population and distrust of their government.

What better way to defeat the enemy using "germ warfare" without resorting to conventional weapons of destruction?

Agree. Additionally, the virus was unleashed in time to cause a recession in the U.S. before the election (as we are seeing now) for the purpose of removing Trump. Historically, no incumbent President has been re-elected during a significant economic downturn.

It's no secret that the CCP prefers and supports Biden.
