Say what you like about the Japanese royal family, at least they have enough class not to air their dirty laundry on News of the World, the Sun or the Daily Mirror.

Dont thank the media for that, blame the government here for suppressing it!

the word “ignoble” comes to mind.

Harry could of done way better

A C-list Hollywood celeb and a Hooray Henry.

Pretty dull stuff. I read the abdication in the 1930’s was a real cracker.

Blood diamonds!

Has dignity evaporated into ignominy?

The media briefings, descending into tantrums of pique and recrimination, even before Orpah Winfrey’s heart to heart

“At least we have each other”....

What is that all about, other that gut reneging

Prince Harry the Duke of Megan needs to get a grip

Man, or mouse?

Be one or the other, instead of pussyfooting between the two.

I think it’s like watching an archaic train wreck.Royalty is such a transparent farce.

Yes, but it hasn't been so farcical since the Romanovs.

Oh goodness. I do care about the ginger and his wife sooo much.

They're not the worst. Which isn't saying much, admittedly.

You could do a lot worse than Haz and MM. I'm not saying there's no blame on their side. There's no smoke without fire. But MM was already well-off and doing a lot of good before meeting Haz. People seem to criticize her has a gold-digger yet remain silent when they're asked about their sister-in-law. Nobody deserves the racism (very subtle, on purpose) that she has had to face.

And as for not getting on well with her family - would you get on well with one half of your family if they were criminals?

As I said, you could do worse. Just look at the history of Prince Andrew and his family. I'm old enough to remember the toe-sucking saga, adultery and all the way up to making shady deals with fake sheiks, 10 holidays a year for princesses. They even have their own Pizzagate, thanks to Epstein. But hey, everything's all quiet now - thank god MM has diverted all the attention. As, Prince Phillip says, Common as muck.

Yeah, when they say they're going to get married, they're going to get married!

Jeez, since the announcement of that marriage, MM has gotten married, had a child, had a miscarriage and had another pregnancy. And that marriage still hasn't happened.

Who cares? Must be a slow news day if this makes it into the World section as news.

You obviously cared enough to make a comment.

Love to be a commoner.

The very idea of a ‘royal’ family.

Wait for the Racism claims....

Harry was right to get out of there...

Come on Toasted, a sure fire media money tree, one only has to shake.

Camelot era?

Excalibur has blanked the Princess/ Prince of Markle, no Lady of the Lake here.

Why are Americans so fascinated by the UK royals?

Is it because they are, allegedly, a Republic? Is there a bit of jealousy & that's why they hyped the Camelot era of the Kennedys and most recently the mad king and his family?

MM was doomed from the start for being mixed race, strong and having her own opinions.

It's like Yoko Ono and Diana all over again.

I have a certain degree of sympathy for MM, she is targeted for the reasons above and also the incel culture is enraged that she tempered Harry's more buffoonish nature.

Overall, though, monarchy is archaic and deserves to be dismantled. Not just in the UK.
