Trump is so bad with money that he could have "sat" on his daddy's inheritance (putting it in an Index fund) even with this CV crisis and current stock market crash and still have more money than he would have now. That is a joke.

But you do have to be a special sort of dumb to bankrupt casinos.
Chip Star
Irrelevant to you saying you can’t be dumb and be rich.

The majority of people on this planet are mentally average theoretically.
And nothing wrong with that, a lot of people have an inheritance, I did and I don’t think that’s a bad thing to have something to invest and start with.

But you can, like Trump inherit approximately US$440,000,000. And still be a lesser light. He deserves credit for recognizing his limitations and hiring armies of paid fixers and others to keep him solvent.

I didn’t say he was dumb. That’s why I wrote ‘pretty average’.
This makes no sense.

The key to that sentence is "unrestricted aid". Back in late March, Congress passed a $2.2 trillion stimulus package that allocated just shy of $400 billion to state and local governments for coronavirus relief efforts. New York's cut was a little over $7.5 billion. New york also got a share of the $60 billion specifically allocated to support state education institutions, mass transit infrastructure and community development block grants.
So it looks like New York received a bit more than "zero, zilch, nada". Apparently, Cuomo objects to the fact that the funds his state received were specifically for coronavirus relief efforts and not a blank check to spend on whatever he sees fit. In other words, "unrestricted"
bass4funk
I disagree, can’t make millions being dumb, however, on the average and not well informed, as far as these leaders are concerned, that’s true.
Jimizo
Trump is a New Yorker, he’s not very intelligent ( not stupid but pretty average ) and clearly not well informed.
bass4funk
So is Trump, that’s why he has his advisors, but a lot of people in NY screwed this up and royally.

I’m confused a bit, how does that relate to the virus? I thought the impeachment farce is over, no?

Cuomo's a New Yorker. He's very intelligent and well informed. No doubt he's read about all Trump's corrupt dealings in New York and around the globe, and has long known Trump's a carnie barker. With armies of highly paid fixers backing him up.

Obviously states will still need to coordinate with the federal government. It's, "you call the shots" not "you're on your own."

No on can deny that TrumpCare is a major part of the problem. Obamacare with the public option and Medicaid expansion would be very effective right now. The US is worse off than China with CV numbers. TrumpCare is just junk policies with a rating worse than his university.

Trump/Pence new 2020 slogan; "You can never blame us, because we always pass the buck"...
Biden new 2020 slogan; "Flush the Great Orange Turd, on November 3rd"....

It’s weird how you excoriate Democrats for doing what Donny does, but cheer Donny for doing it.
bass4funk
Ok, so now that Cuomo got what he wanted, he takes another political swipe at the President? What an idiot. The man that downplayed the virus in his own state wants to deflect from his own personal mistakes, typical.

The perspective of statists, those favoring a big, centralized government led a a 'Supreme Leader for life' (or maybe just 2036), aka national socialism.
Chip Star
You would have a point if that’s what “I have total authority” Trump was doing instead of shirking responsibility.
Chip Star
They have zero integrity.

What cuts are Trump's 'luxury' properties, Jared's too, even Hannity with all his government backed 'low income' properties among so many others getting from this. Will they and their fellow nabobs skim from those moneys and give themselves even bigger bonuses like so many other execs do.
Why have rightists and those so called 'free market capitalists (ROFL) gone quiet, no longer shouting 'free stuff' when Sander's name is mentioned. Perhaps because they favor continuing America's programs of welfare/socialism for the rich, i.e. Trump's brand of national socialism
commanteer
Great to see someone finally returning some power to the states. Massive central governments by definition cause far more problems than they solve.

Ouch.
