So endeth the greatest bromance of the 21st century, a true 'love' worthy of a Shakespearean sonnet... or at least a Tweet or two, I'm sure.

Good not worth anything to be involved with Trump. Let's hope the next one even knows where DPRK is on a map.

I thought trump said telephone head and he were good buds?

It’s becoming clear that Trump had no endgame or overarching strategy for dealing with North Korea. He just doesn’t have the attention span or patience for details to see this kind of complicated negotiation through to the end.

Fancy summits and press conferences are only the first step in a long and drawn out process before an agreement can be reached. He wants to play the President on TV, but not actually have to do the hard work that most of the Presidency needs to get things done. So the end result is nothing.

A non-news article. NK needs to stay relevant, which has become more difficult now, since the nuclear card has been taken away.

Of course, our regular expert crowd will come in and cackle about how bad orangeguy is... predictable like Pawlows dogs.

Smart move! Donald Trump's faceoff is just a millisecond's matter! Even he himself has no idea why faceoff!

and the Trump crowd make another pathetic excuse for their leaders foreign policy failures, all those meetings and those deals, photo ops,

Nuclear card taken away!? what are you talking about. NK still has their nukes and still have their missiles. Trump has done nothing the alleviate the problem.

@WiiliB Its terrible to try to stop anyone from expressing their opinion on Japan Today. So, I will just say that Orange Guy is bad.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

The South Koreans, Chinese, and Japanese are united in their desire for weak currencies which allow them to continue unabated their one track mind obsession with accumulating bloated trade surpluses which can be parlayed into equity in and increasing leverage over a near term focused and complacent West. Stoking tensions on the Peninsula helps to depress exchange rates in the region. Instead of rewarding them for fomenting tension which has a near zero likelihood of resulting in war, the collective West needs to get wise to their game and keep pushing for a strengthening of exchange rates for countries that insist on having their cake (massive trade surpluses) and eating it (domestic markets hostile to foreign penetration).

Trump was always lame but now he is lame duck. As with everything else he has touched the NK situation is worse thanks to his photo op driven chucklehead strategy for everything.

Kim laughs at America and Trump is too weak to be able to do anything about it.

He can’t even unify his own people.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

I am not surprised. They think that Trump has a much lower chance of being re-elected now. So they need to prepare for Biden as he will go back to the old ways, no more romances...

I guess we are witnessing a bro break up.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Even Kim don't love him anymore.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Kim is right, Trump will be gone in November anyway.

He got in on the talent of those around him, now they're gone, what's he's got left is not politically 'popular' judging by his recent comments on BLM.

Awwww.....Kim the Killer has spurned Donald the Dimwit...such sad sorrow....

But don't worry Mr President, your one true love and string puller still loves you....

The one sitting in the Kremlin...

I think you're confused the nuclear card is more than ever on the table, high chance it became real during the past few years.

And Trump thinks he deserves a Nobel Peace prize for just talking with the Kim?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Trump's people said he should get a nobel for fixing the North Korea problem.

They criticized the presidents who came before.

The presidents who came before didn't give up war games with S. Korea at N. Korea's demand. The presidents who came before didn't give the Kims photo ops, providing propaganda they can claim shows they are respected by American presidents. The presidents before didn't trade love letters.

Trump failed. Incompetence.

We told you so.

Now i have to throw out my matching Trump-Kim socks.

and I had put my entire retirement fund into those commemorative coins. drat.

No loss, Kim wants his country to stay impoverished, no sweat. Keep it, wallow in it, Trump doesn’t need it. Good luck to Kim. Lol

and yet American is now on a massive $6trillion quantitative easing aka money printing measure. what's good for the gander is good for the goose. No America cant expect to have a good economy and weak currency at the same time

Calling off the bromance? Orange guy will be crushed! Police brutality, BLM, Mattis criticism, coronavirus, Fauci and he CDC looking at him like he's a buffoon, unemployment higher than ever, hydroxychloroquine controversy, Republicans against him, Confederate flags and statues being dumped, Twitter fact-checking him, et al. And that is just in the first six months of 2020! People are jumping off the Trumptanic in droves!

so whats new been like that for 40yrs, they still developed the nukes and missiles in that time. proves that those sanctions aren't working , those meetings and bully tactics were all for nothing. But hey Trump can go play a round of golf and a slice of chocolate cake if it make him feel less of a failure

i'm pretty sure most 401k were wiped out with Trumps market crash and recession

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Yeah, I'm sure Kim can get a much better deal with Biden's handlers.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Yes, but again, Trump will sleep good at night, Kim has to worry that his people don’t dig up dort to eat and how he can take care of his generals that watch is back, moving on....

But hey Trump can go play a round of golf and a slice of chocolate cake if it make him feel less of a failure.

...and it still won’t help Biden or Kim.

Winning!

What a freaking success.

North Korea says little reason to maintain Kim-Trump ties

US answer: Oh, OK then.

North Korea says will cut all communications lines with the South.

South Korea answer: Oh, OK then.

Ideally.

North Korea sees little use maintaining a personal relationship between leader Kim Jong Un and U.S. President Donald Trump if Washington sticks to hostile policies, state media reported on Friday - the two-year anniversary of the leaders' first summit.

Lil Kim is not stupid , he knows there's no point maintaining any relationship with this lame duck of a president.

There goes Dear leader, trump's Nobel dreams, or should I say fantasies!!!

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Relations improved significantly around the Singapore summit in June 2018, the first time a sitting American president met with a North Korean leader, but the statement that came out of the meeting was light on specifics.

Failure....

A second summit in February 2019 in Vietnam failed to reach a deal because of conflicts over U.S. calls for North Korea to completely give up its nuclear weapons, and North Korean demands for swift sanctions relief.

More failure...

Have to give it to Trump, whether a domestic issue or an international one, he's consistent - at losing...

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Have to give it to dear leader trump, most Americans are against him, the military is against him, most allied countries are against him, even lil Kim is against him.

At let he has Putin on his side!

And a few Klansmen!!
