Iran is not a direct and immediate threat to U.S. I do not know why U.S. care about Iran.

Iran is not a direct and immediate threat to U.S. I do not know why U.S. care about Iran.

It’s part of Trump’s obsession with Obama. It drives him crazy that the black man was so loved, and he’s so hated.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Thursday he was willing to go to Iran for talks amid tensions between Tehran and Washington,

Good. Proper, mature dialogue is needed on both sides.

but also called on Japan, Britain and other nations to join a maritime force to guard oil tankers sailing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Not good. Please don't drag other nations into another misadventure that could end in catastrophe.

There is no need of a Military coalition to patrol the Strait of Hormuz. The only thing needed is for the US to stop its unilateral sanctions against Iran. Trump hates Iran, that is the one solitary reason for US sanctions, and for threats against any sovereign nation that buy's oil from Iran. This mess of purely and simply one of American making. It should be left to them to fix their own mess. If they continue along the current course they should pay for any and all expenses of Nations that join their coalition.

Mike Pompeo has the hardest job in the US. He has to clean up after Trump on the international scene. If the Trump opens his mouth and says something incorrect, Pompeo has to correct it. Furthermore, if Trump goes too far, Pompeo now has to create a new narrative and move pieces into place to not make Trump seem like he has no knowledge of anything.

There are many times he pretends to be completely at a loss in order to help Trump save some face.

He isn’t doing a very good job then, is he?

If Trump appeared to have real knowledge of anything, it would be a first.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Tehran would not negotiate with Washington under any circumstances.

Oh well. Crippling sanctions will continue.

The anti-Trumpers here make me laugh. Unlike Obama and the EU, Trump is going to make sure Iran doesn't get a nuclear weapon.

Just like he stopped the DPRK launching missiles.

Oh, wait... he didn't.

Trump owns this mess. He tore up a deal for no good reason. And now, here we are on the brink of conflict.

@cleo

That's how difficult his job is.

@Serrano

You need to do your homework. Almost every intelligence agency in the world has concluded that Iran has the full capabilities to produce Nuclear weapons and only doesn’t make them because they don’t see a reason to make them. In 2012 they predicted that Iran already contained the knowledge and that by 2015 they would have enough weapons grade plutonium to make the actual bomb. But the threat of creating it is something they continuously use as leverage when negotiating with Europe.

That is right, They are an Indirect threat to the U.S but a direct threat to our allies. Please do study your history.

Iran is not a direct and immediate threat to U.S. I do not know why U.S. care about Iran.

Iran belongs to a different ideological current inside the Islam then Saudi Arabia, one of the US biggest allies, and that makes them an enemy of the US government by default.

That's also why the US government turns a blind eye to Saudi Arabia's genocide on Jemen.

The fact that Iran supplies oil to Russia and China is also a thorn in the US government's side.

Pompeo said that Washington had already asked Japan, France, Germany, South Korea, Australia and other nations to join a planned maritime security initiative in the Middle East.

Please don't, fight your unethical wars for control of Earth's natural resources by yourself and leave other countries out of it.

Just like he stopped the DPRK launching missiles.

Oh, wait... he didn't.

He stopped the serious missiles, you know, like the ones that were flying over Japan. Last one was Nov. 2017.

Trump owns this mess. He tore up a deal for no good reason

it was for a good reason. That deal was going to let Iran have a nuclear weapon within 15 years, possibly ten. Perhaps you didn't know this.

Talk about creating a problem out of thin air.

This is all so needless and unnecessary.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

better to have 15 years to work out a better solution than going back to zero without anything new in place.

It's being worked out now. Only because tremendous pressure is being put on Iran.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

To think that all of this started because Trump couldn't put up with a nuclear peace treaty that was associated with Obama. Trump really, really hates Obama.

Weak-minded morons demand simpleton's answers to complex problems.

Kinda funny to watch the Trump fanatics shrieking about Iran on JT when only a few years back the same morons were cheering on deep state globalists elitist George W's catastrophe in Iraq - I fire that still burns I remind them....

The pro-Chumpers are such comedians. Unlike proper politicians and diplomats the chumpster lies and destroys everything. President Chump cant tie his own shoelaces without a committee and a hired pair of hands to get the job done. Trump will only make things much worse with Iran and end up blaming the coalition for the up coming war he is about to start. That is the real reason he wants a coalition.

Fake news supplied by Israel and backed by Chump.

The agreement in place specifically stopped that from happening.

Serrano: It's being worked out now. Only because tremendous pressure is being put on Iran.

Gosh this sounds familiar.

Oh, that's right, Obama built a coalition and put tremendous pressure on Iran, and as a result Iran agreed to inspections and took their nukes off the table.

Now that your idiot destroyed that, sounds like he's doing....the same thing? Great job.

If the U S A want a war. They can fight it themselves.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

They cancelled their own successful working agreement and want a war because wars work with their stupid constituencies. The world should refuse anymore USA wars
