A touch of the Addams family in that shot!

Trump giggling to himself about his "peace maker" joke. While everyone else seems to be dressed waiting for the funeral.

The Pope is a man of faith. He's asking Trump to be a peacemaker... Clearly he has more faith than I have.

"It is my desire that you become an olive tree to construct peace," the pope said, speaking in Spanish through an interpreter.

Trump responded: "We can use peace."

This shows the fundamental disconnect between the two men. For the Pope, peace is the end itself. For Trump, peace is a tool for enriching himself that is only desirable so long as using war doesn't enrich himself more.

Rule of Acquisition #35: Peace is good for business.

Rule of Acquisition #34: War is good for business.

For a certain kind of person, it's easy to get them confused.

"We can use peace," Trump says, after selling a king's ransom of arms to Saudi, of all places.

Melania:

Great that you've covered your hair, but you've left Saudi Arabia already.

So Ivana shows respect to the pope and Christianity by wearing a veil, but didn't do the same in Saudi....go figure.

Trump at first did not plan to stop in Rome during his visit to Europe, which some in the Vatican saw as a snub. When he changed his mind, the Vatican squeezed him in at 8:30 a.m. on a Wednesday morning, an unusual day and an unusually early time.

Wasn't a snub, Trump's brigade probably didn't know Vatican City is actually in Rome. Photo op all aimed at Trump's evangelical vote, 'see, even the Pope loves him'.

Why does the pope look terribly unhappy in this photo, and the Don looks awfully cheesy.

What a creepy photo.

Trump gave the pope a boxed set of five first edition books by slain U.S. civil rights leader Martin Luther King.

Unless Trump's name appears in them, he probably won't read them.

Trump responded: "We can use peace."

You sure can. You've just done a major arms deal with the terror sponsoring Saudis and attempted to isolate the Iranians who are modernising.

You can use peace until the word has lost its meaning and worth.

LOL. If Trump steps any closer to the Pontiff; Francis' crucifix is going to burst into flames!

Thank god christianity has flourished

Well, who else could you thank?

Pope looks liooks like Darth Vader!

Very scary!

Looks like she is following the required dress codes for each country/occasion.

Saudi has different requirements for guests and locals.

Well, who else could you thank?

I dunno, maybe Constantine.

And look what the Popes did with all that power. This picture is kinda funny. Is Trump still smiling over signing the Obama weapons deal? If so, Satan is like "FINALLY!, I'm back". No wonder the Pope looks so grim.

The Pope is the middle man, Trump is the instrument. Thank god christianity has flourished. What would the the world look like if the Turks ruled?

katsu78 - amazing that you read so much into a photo. I think I just see a guy smiling awkwardly
