Another polarizing issue, when in fact both sides have a point. Anti-Israel terrorism from the Palestinians is unacceptable, but so is the police state the Israelis have forced on Palestine, where the people have to pass through checkpoints and the like just to move around their own territory.

The Stern Gang. Gush Emumin Underground. Irgun. Yaakov Teitel. Baruch Goldstein. Eden Nata Zada.

The IDF using chemical weapons on Palestinians.

An apartheid system.

Illegal settlements.

This is why the Israeli state continues to be stuck in the dark ages.

All religions have their dark side.

No one religion is "the good guy".

Until Palestinian nationhood is given equal consideration, the bloodshed is, sadly, likely to continue.

It's not about religion Borg man. Just as northern irland was not about religion

But that's how they sell it.

And isn't doubly funny how the MSM never seem to broach the topic that Isearl gets 8 million dollars a day from the US?

Criticism of Israel's murderous policy towards Palestinians is not anti-semitism. Concerns about its use of chemical weapons and possessing nuclear weaponry are justified.

Israel has repeatedly scoffed at international law, often with little or no protest from various US administrations.

Does Israel have the right to exist? Of course. And so does Palestine.

Otherwise the brutal cycle of violence will continue.

Exactly. I've got some Israeli business associates, one of whom I'd even call a friend (our families have had dinner together multiple times). I couldn't care less about their religion, I'm hardly an anti-semite. I do have some issues with the policies of their country though in regards to Palestine. It's the same as I have issues with American foreign policy, yet some of my best friends are American.

Criticizing policy of a country does not equal hatred of the citizens of that country, nor hatred of their religion. I criticize my own country's policies regularly, and I love my country people.

Metal detectors at Mecca - no muslim riots

Metal detectors at Western Wall for jews - no muslim riots

Metal detectors at Temple Mount - muslim riots.

Something I'll never understand is that people will condemn terrorism, ISIS, etc. and stand beside places like France when there's an attack. Except when it comes to Israel, when the same people fully support murder and terrorism committed by paledtinians against Israelis, citing that they shouldn't be there in the first place (coincidentally, a certain German guy said something similar about Jews in Europe at one time..) so the attacks are justified and terrorist organization ls like hamas are poor victims. And on top of that, these same people will get angry at a famous guy wearing a funny shirt depicting Hitler on TV. Funny world we live in.

A petition from March this year urging Google to include Palestine on their maps has gained traction in the last few days, now with almost 250,000 signatures

Without revealing personal info and relying on my own anecdotage; I totally agree. But you have to be mindful that any criticism of Israel will be pounced on and twisted. Hasbara, it seems, are omnipresent!

Equating criticism of the Israeli regime with anti-semitism is, at the very least, disingenuous and an insult to victims of actual anti-semitism.

In the meantime; I continue to boycott Israeli goods. Just like I did with South African goods until that disgusting regime ended.

Equating present day Israel with South African apartheid shows neither of you have a grasp on either issue.

Whereas your take on it is Muslims, terrror, Muslims, terror. Not a very well presented argument on the situation.

That, and a healthy distaste for Israel.

Wrong again. I have a healthy distaste for the Israeli Govt, the IDF and the illegal settlements, the disproportionate violence meted out to Palestinians who are seeking nationhood.

Bah the Palestinians need arming to the level of the Jewish state. Give them equal tanks and stuff, let the retarded religious tribes slug it out in a winner takes all finale. Get it over once and for all. Neither side wants, nor deserves peace.

"Stop putting up metal detectors, we are trying to kill you"

God Bless Israel in their struggle against constant terrorism and liberal westerners who hold up the terrorist, murdering scum Hamas and Hezbollah as their heroes.

Take a look at a map of the Middle East and notice the one lone country with prosperity and respect for the rule of law.

Israel.

yeah right. Just don't say the word Zionism, otherwise it's a food fight. I'm thinking the same argument was made for South Africa.

Muslim leaders and Palestinian political factions had urged the faithful to gather for a "day of rage" on Friday

this is why Muslims continue to be stuck in the dark ages.

Every other religion pushes peace and love.

Muslims push for rage.

The sickest most disgusting example of a democracy that Israel is cliamed to be. The land that they have stolen and occupied is staggering. Look at a map fools! I doubt that Isreal could even survive without our 8 million we give them everyday, 365 days a year, for the last 32 years. My conspiracy radar says that part of this money gets funneled back into AIPAC and US congressional coffers. What a joke! When you read an article like this and Zionism is never mentioned then you know you're reading Borg news. They call it fake news these days. Strangely, the Warsaw ghetto uprising is praised and put into books and film. Yet the ghetto that the Zionists impose on the Palestinians is OK in the eyes of the MSM. Notice we don't see much about the horrors in Yemen either. The world is a vampire. Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
