Is the statue meant to be taken seriously?

20 ( +22 / -2 )

"Let me tell you something: Donald Trump ain’t going anywhere," said Senator Ted Cruz.

'ain't'. Multi-personality Cruz, a male who shape shifts depending on audience, pulled from his speakin'-to-the-common-folk's lexicon.

Says Cruz today. Second to Trump Cruz might be the most dishonest person in politics.

Trump didn't need to go on a tedcruise; it was warm in Mar a Lago so he could just stay home.

16 ( +17 / -1 )

Does the head bobble?

Is the statue 4 inches tall?

22 ( +23 / -1 )

Like a cult worshipping their deities.

19 ( +22 / -3 )

The GOP used to have an ideology. It may have been repugnant to some, but at least the Republican Party stood for something. Today’s GOP is just a nihilistic personality cult.

The weird irony is that Trump will drive more swing states and voters toward the blue.

BTW, Cruz and Hawley will never inhabit the WH. Butt kissers never get to the top.

13 ( +15 / -2 )

All faithful members of the Trump brown nose society

10 ( +12 / -2 )

You know, there is a book that these Trump supporters often cite, and I seem to recall some stories about their prophets warning against the worship of false idols, and a golden calf....Probably means nothing, like the rest of their twisted ideology.

statue of former president Donald Trump is on display at the merchandise show at the Conservative Political Action Conference

Trump merchandise on display. I wonder whether the statue was made in China, maybe by one of the Chinese corporations owned by a member of the Chinese Communist Party who's partnered with Ivanka, Jared, or maybe Trump himself.

Trump supporters at the conference on Friday repeated some of his false claims

Trump and his Republicans have learned which audiences believe their big lieS. Trump and his R's have got numerous far right media outlets pushing those big lieS.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

I had to check I hadn’t been in a coma and woken up on April 1st.

What on earth are these people thinking?

Let me tell you something: Donald Trump ain’t going anywhere," said Senator Ted Cruz.

Neither are you, except maybe on a sleazy photo op pulling up carpets and pretending to be useful.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

... and don’t forget the odd trip to Cancun....

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Love it! ROFL

And the Dems thought they could erase him from the GOP and the party, they failed.

https://thepoliticalinsider.com/over-70-of-republican-voters-want-their-lawmakers-to-be-more-like-trump/

-17 ( +5 / -22 )

This is beyond parody now.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

Boy, there seems to be no bottom for self respect in the GOP.

The level to which these cowards are willing to debase themselves is mind boggling!!!!

11 ( +14 / -3 )

Though donald in shorts isn’t exactly flattering for him!!!!

10 ( +13 / -3 )

If they can create another statue of lindsey in Speedos it will be perfect!!!

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Looks like something those living in their parents' basement will try to tear down. Following that, they will loot and burn down the entire facility including this.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Aw, look at his cute likkul hands and his enormous shovely feet.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

LOL...the tie is too short, should be down to the crotch. And why the flip flops on his feet? An utterly psychotic image that reflects the mental state of these trump supporters. The GOP is dead. The party of Conservatives has become the party of rascists, terrorists and whackos. Sure made America great again. Good job.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

Very tasteful and subdued piece of art, though I worry that it might clash too much with the statues of Jesus, WW2 Nazi memorabilia and broken whicker furniture from the 80s that are to be found in most Trump supporters living rooms.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Very tacky and ridiculous statue.

Fitting.

I see Flyin’ Ted was kissing Trump’s backside despite Trump posting unflattering pictures of his wife and accusing his dad of being part of the JFK assassination.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Love it! ROFL

haha!! Me too. Makes the Dump and the GOP look like the gaudy, classless, tasteless clown show they are.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

It’s hilarious that don jr’s girlfriend kimberley spoke at the conference.

She was fired from her job for sharing pictures of people’s genitals, if that’s a conservative value where do I sign up????

9 ( +10 / -1 )

No better way to shed that “cult” label than by building a gold statue of your leader for all his followers to worship.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

The speaker include don jr, kimberley, ted, matt....

Instead of a conservative conference, shouldn’t it be called petty criminals and pervert’s conference???

Love it! ROFL

It does look like it belongs right up your alley.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Idol worship is alive and well in the Republican Party. How can the so called Moral Majority or Christians support this kind of idol worship? It's easy to see how these people could support a dictatorship, and a really bad one at that.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

I see Flyin’ Ted was kissing Trump’s backside despite Trump posting unflattering pictures of his wife and accusing his dad of being part of the JFK assassination

People can put their differences aside. Joe and Kamala did. Warren, Schultz and Bernie did. So....

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Last week, I asked what the difference between the GOP and the Nazi party was. I was told that was a silly comparison.

Today, CPAC’s very stage is shaped like a Nazi symbol, the odal rune.

It really is over for the GOP. It has become a racist, fascist cult.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

The “party” has no platform beyond serving Trump. They didn’t bother to write one.

They made a golden idol of Trump. There’s a sentence I never thought I’d type.

They repeat the Big Lie over and over.

This is literally the definition of a cult.

But there is cause for hope; among my daughters’ Gen-Z, the most educated and diverse in American history, the GOP is weapons-grade plutonium-level radioactive. Membership in the GOP is cratering as people who are not cultists say “enough.”

And finally, Trump is facing potentially double-digit indictments in multiple jurisdictions at both the state and federal level.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

The “party” has no platform beyond serving Trump. They didn’t bother to write one.

They absolutely do and that is to move far away from the establishment Republicans as fast as they can and to be the voice of the American middle class and blue collar worker. Over 70% of registered Republicans want Trump to lead the party, so yeah, Trump isn’t going anywhere.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

I see Flyin’ Ted was kissing Trump’s backside despite Trump posting unflattering pictures of his wife and accusing his dad of being part of the JFK assassination

People can put their differences aside. Joe and Kamala did. Warren, Schultz and Bernie did. So....

There is a difference between attacking policies and record as a politician and posting insulting and demeaning trash about somebody’s spouse and idiotic, toxic conspiracy theories about someone’s father.

You do see this, don’t you? Do you pretend they are the same thing?

10 ( +11 / -1 )

They absolutely do and that is to move far away from the establishment Republicans as fast as they can

You realize that's no an actual platform?

Apart from "We have to cancel cancel culture" and "The liberals are crazy!", what exactly is the GOP's plan for America's future? Economic ideas, foreign policy, infrastructure...?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

They absolutely do and that is to move far away from the establishment Republicans as fast as they can and to be the voice of the American middle class and blue collar worker. Over 70% of registered Republicans want Trump to lead the party, so yeah, Trump isn’t going anywhere.

Your example of “a platform beyond Trump” is “make Trump the leader”?

Okay.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Apart from "We have to cancel cancel culture" and "The liberals are crazy!", what exactly is the GOP's plan for America's future? Economic ideas, foreign policy, infrastructure...?

Yup, those are all true, but to expand on your question. Lower taxes, deregulation, more incentives to small businesses, refortify the border, stop illegal immigration, empower more the middle class, focus on American first, ensure energy independence....

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

Over 70% of registered Republicans want Trump to lead the party,

Those who identify as Republicans are a minority of Americans. 70% of that minority is not enough to win the White House in a fair election. That's one reason Republicans are going even harder after restricting voting rights.

the voice of the American middle class and blue collar worker

The Trump regime helped the wealthiest get wealthier. Look at how well Jared and Ivanka did working for daddy. Trump left behind an economy that continues to devastate middle class and blue collar workers.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Those who identify as Republicans are a minority of Americans. 70%

Yes, but not conservatives

That's one reason Republicans are going even harder after restricting voting rights.

Funny, Do you need an ID to get on the plane, to enter the White House, when you’re filing your taxes, everyone has the right to vote and they should all be paper ballots, nothing should be online anymore for anyone cut that out and you will cut down on voter fraud.

The Trump regime helped the wealthiest get wealthier

of course, and the job creators passed it on down to the middle class into their employees and this is why the unemployment was so long and this is why small businesses were doing so well and raking in big bucks, everyone was happy, so I do think Joe creators should get and make a lot of money, they also tend to have happier employees as well.

Dems would rather take all that away, but instead of offering incentives they want to put small businesses out of business by wanting to raise the minimum wage to $15 which now has some Opposition even by some Democrats, wise.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

The faux gilt "Big Boy" Potus is a hilarious piece of kitsch Americana to remind us of the tacky, tasteless Trump. The artist would reportedly like to see it housed in The Donald Trump Presidential Library! Question is will there be room for it squeezed among all the tweets?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Is that a statue of Bart Simpson?

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Lower taxes, deregulation, more incentives to small businesses, refortify the border, stop illegal immigration, empower more the middle class, focus on American first, ensure energy independence....

You are citing conservative ideas in general, but not the actual 2021 GOP platform.

nothing should be online anymore for anyone cut that out and you will cut down on voter fraud.

Are you actually under the impression that "online voting" somehow exists for american elections?

of course, and the job creators passed it on down to the middle class

No they didn't. Trickle-down economics do not work and never will.

... so I do think Joe creators should get and make a lot of money,

Hm. How does one get into Joe creating as a career, then? It sounds lucrative but I'm not sure how to make a Joe.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

No they didn't. Trickle-down economics do not work and never will.

Trickle down is another myth told by plutocrats to a poorly educated base who for whatever reason want to believe the bosses care about them, and that the good things the bosses keep promised will come to them if they just trust and obey. And then the plutocrats outsource their jobs.

A statue of former president Donald Trump is on display at the merchandise show at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Friday, in Orlando, Fla.

What on earth possessed someone in there wildness nightmares to produce such an appalling gaudy effigy.

All that glisters is not gold, is an understatement.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

in passing the most and highest massive debt in US history and he’s only been on the job for two months, probably.

Right on cue, Republicans care about debts and deficits the instant a Democratic President is elected.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

CPAC is now nothing but a complete and utter clown show...each speaker gets up and struts through some beyond nutty culture war/grievance politics speech that makes about as much sense as MTG and her Jewish funded space lasers...

There's no values, there's no principles - it's all lies, hate, and victimhood - with a splash of adoration for a washed-up reality TV host and insurrectionist...

"Let me tell you something: Donald Trump ain’t going anywhere," said Senator Ted Cruz.

Hey Ted CanCruz, were you telling us something in 2016 when you said; "Donald, you're a sniveling coward"....????

Tune in to CPAC to tomorrow night, the Q Shaman will lecture on pedophilia and the best place to buy a fur hat and horns...

8 ( +9 / -1 )

CPAC is now nothing but a complete and utter clown show

Liberals would indeed say that.

There's no values, there's no principles

They have and they do, they're just not in power now to implement them.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

They absolutely do

Prey tell, produce said platform. There is none.

He’s going to jail as are MANY of those who participated in the insurrection.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

of course, and the job creators passed it on down to the middle class into their employees and this is why the unemployment was so long and this is why small businesses were doing so well and raking in big bucks, everyone was happy, so I do think Joe creators should get and make a lot of money, they also tend to have happier employees as well.

Never disappointing with the Trumpian word salad, praising the tired myths of trickle down economics and job creators. When companies getting massive tax breaks stop having full time workers still needing side work or public assistance maybe you can point to some of those happy employees, but that did not happen under Trump.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

I hear Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz have been selected to introduce Trump on Sunday....

"Ladies and gentlemen, it's our privilege and pleasure to introduce to you someone I (Graham) have said was a race-baiting xenophobic bigot, an idiot, and ISIS Man-of-the-Year....and someone I (Cruz) called utterly amoral, a serial philanderer, a pathological liar, and a sniveling coward...

Someone who lost more Americans during his tenure than any President since Lincoln, who led an insurrection against our center of democracy, who presided over the loss of the House, Senate and White House...

Yes, our hero and the leader of our Party, Donald J. Trump"...

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Prey tell, produce said platform. There is none.

When you're not in power of course, but with the Dems slim margin in the House and the rate that they are ticking off people, the GOP might even gain seats in the House. Even Nancy and Chuck are deeply worried about that.

He’s going to jail

Yeah, Mueller thought so, he's going to be impeached, convicted and removed, they tried that twice. Yeah, we keep hearing this....

"Hm. How does one get into Joe creating as a career, then?"

in passing the most and highest massive debt in US history and he’s only been on the job for two months, probably.

No, no... you see, you wrote "Joe" when you clearly meant to write-... oh, never mind.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Ew. That is gross-looking.

And how appropriate, they gave him his favorite paper to wipe his backside with...

10 ( +11 / -1 )

There's no values, there's no principles

They have and they do, they're just not in power now to implement them.

Not surprising the Trump Republican congress members at the conference have claimed they're too sick to attend to congressional business back in DC. When in fact they're down in the warm Florida sun cavorting with their far right base. That just reaffirms the charge they have no values, nor principles and no power to implement anything much. No power because they're more loyal to their Qanon-ish followers and their Trump than to the republic.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Not surprising the Trump Republican congress members at the conference have claimed they're too sick to attend to congressional business back in DC.

Fantastic! They're not wanted anyone. The best part is, Romney was disinvited.

When in fact they're down in the warm Florida sun cavorting with their far right base.

No, the far-right was left in DC which is perfectly legal and they should.

Is the statue meant to be taken seriously?

This is total idolatry. It's officially a CULT now. and this IDOL is the ugliest thing I have ever seen, it's so grossly sickening to even look at. So damn repulsive! MELT THIS HIDEOUS HUNK OF JUNK.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

No matter what, he will always be remembered as the man with the blood of 500000 on his hands. End of story.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Back to trusting polls again. It’s hilarious watching you constantly spin on trusting polls.

Not trusting, that's just a matter of fact. I think liberas are just scared that every tactic that was used to squash Trump didn't work and now at CPAC he's more popular than ever, but yeah, even the establishment Republicans are worried and jealous.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

I think liberas are just scared that every tactic that was used to squash Trump didn't work

You are aware he lost the House, the Senate and the presidential election, right? He looks pretty squashed to me.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

The CPAC is a collection of bigots who anyhow voted for donald last time.

This conference will not win him one new vote, he will lose quite a few......

9 ( +10 / -1 )

The CPAC is a collection of bigots

Liberals can't say anything when it comes to bigotry their entire policies are made up around gender and identity politics, they use race and gender at every available opportunity and their record is not a good one at all when you break it down, so these people are the last people that should call an entire group of people bigots.

This conference will not win him one new vote

Quite the contrary, that's why the establishment Republicans are extremely worried, no wonder they weren't invited.

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

Liberals can't say anything when it comes to bigotry

Let's see, on one side there's a political group mostly comprised of rich white men (plus some women and a very occasional minority), and on the other a diverse group of white, latino, indian, asian and black men and women. I wonder which one is more likely to be bigoted? I reaaaaally wonder.... Hmmm.... Tough one... If only one of the groups was doing something blatantly racist, like actively trying to keep minorities from voting, it would be so much easier to identify them...

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Let's see, on one side there's a political group mostly comprised of rich white men

As well, as the Democrat party and big tech

(plus some women and a very occasional minority), and on the other a diverse group of white, latino, indian, asian and black men and women.

That's why the new GOP is growing because of the diversity in races, religion

I wonder which one is more likely to be bigoted? I reaaaaally wonder.... Hmmm.... Tough one...

When you drive through the minority communities in each Blue State that heavily supports Democrats, not tough at all frankly.
