Really starting to like Lindsey Graham. At least he is smart enough to know that the POTUS is a complete buffoon and isn't afraid to say it.

16 ( +18 / -2 )

...and then he'll hear someone support the idea, and he'll Twitter a supportive Twit, and then he'll hear someone opposed, and he'll Twitter an opposing Twit....

For the first time in American history, the office of the presidency has slid into irrelevance. Nobody pays attention to Trump (except for entertainment purposes) - and why should they, when what he says today could be in direct opposition to what he says tomorrow, when his actions directly contradict the promises he made, when he will stab you in the back, throw you overboard, or push you under the bus without even seeming to notice he's done so?

Essentially, the office of the Presidency is vacant.

Marco Rubio: Partnering with Putin on a "Cyber Security Unit" is akin to partnering with Assad on a "Chemical Weapons Unit"

McCain deadpans on Trump's cybersecurity unit w/ Russia: Putin could be of assistance “since he's doing the hacking”

Preet Bahara: Oops. @realDonaldTrump just tweeted that the super-duper Impenetrable Cyber Security Unit "can't" happen, but he appreciates your loyalty.

"It's not the dumbest idea I have ever heard but it's pretty close," Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina

bwahaha. Hey trumplets, got any stuff to back your boy donny on this one?

11 ( +12 / -1 )

What moron. Why even propose working with Russia on election security? Of all the countries.

Just tone deaf and stupid.

13 ( +15 / -2 )

The man said they talked about a cyber unit, doesnt mean it will work as he said. Im sure they talked about many other things that they have realized wont work or that they disagree about.

Why would you even bring that up? What good would even discussing something like this do? He knows very well that the FBI looking into collusion between his campaign and Russia.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Same reason as IT firms hire ex-hackers as cyber security. If you partner with the Russians on this, then you get first hand knowledge of their tools, methods and capabilities. Its not that it wont work, its a POLITICAL non starter, as the article says. Because I gotta listen to McCain and Graham again tell us their opinions. If we cared what those guys thought, they would be President instead, right?

Why would Trump bring it up when the FBI is looking into collusion? Because he knows there is no collusion.

-14 ( +4 / -18 )

Let's not mince words here; this is treason.

The people who serve in the intelligence community must be going absolutely bonkers.

How do you get up every morning and do your best to serve this country when this idiot is running things?

8 ( +12 / -4 )

He used the hacking to his advantage and it's over now and he'd probably just like the questions to go away so he won't be bothered with it anymore. He definitely isn't giving strong speeches about bringing "whomever" did it to justice. The whole issue seems more like a nuisance to him.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

That's not what I wrote. I was writing about Russians. Why so defensive?

You said posters, not Russians. So I would imagine that would mean people who post here.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Same reason as IT firms hire ex-hackers as cyber security.

So in this analogy Russia would be the ex-hackers? Lol Thanks for making my point for me.

180+ countries on earth and Trump wants to partner with the country accused of interfering in our elections for cyber security.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

So in this analogy Russia would be the ex-hackers? Lol Thanks for making my point for me.

180+ countries on earth and Trump wants to partner with the country accused of interfering in our elections for cyber security.

Yes, according to you guys, Russia would be the ex-hackers. But now somehow you are against partnering with them to possibly get some insight into what they know and how they do it. Maybe because we find that they didnt even do it in the first place? But whatever skills we do learn from them, we could use what we learn to block China/N Korea, etc. too But politically it cant happen, I agree.

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

The man said they talked about a cyber unit, doesnt mean it will work as he said. Im sure they talked about many other things that they have realized wont work or that they disagree about.

Trump tweet: Putin & I discussed forming an impenetrable Cyber Security unit so that election hacking, & many other negative things, will be guarded..

Blacklabel: Obviously, for you, Trump can do no wrong, no matter how stupid or ridiculous he is, or says things. The fact he tweeted this, saying he discussed 'an impenetrable' unit with the guy who many believe led the hack for the election and even you might want to at least not side with Putin on this, is utterly the dumbest thing I've ever heard. An impenetrable unit with the accused? hahahahaha.

Graham is actually wrong, this is the dumbest idea I've ever heard of.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

I love how Trump's OWN idea is later being met with his OWN tweets saying, "It doesn't mean I thought we could do it" now that the crap is hitting the fan. When even Lindsay is calling Trump a moron (and this isn't the first time) you know your GOP leader and pres. is in trouble.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

think the Americans who continue to support him will say well done Don

Well done Don!

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

"If you partner with the Russians on this, then you get first hand knowledge of their tools, methods and capabilities."

I think that's a bit naive to believe such full cooperation could exist. Obviously none of the parties will share they latest tools and methods on the subject, it's nonsense.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Yes, according to you guys, Russia would be the ex-hackers. But now somehow you are against partnering with them to possibly get some insight into what they know and how they do it.

Oh but according to you Russia didn't interfere, so what knowledge could they possibly provide, hmm?

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Oh but according to you Russia didn't interfere, so what knowledge could they possibly provide, hmm?

The knowledge that they used to attack our democracy and hack the election and helped Trump to win. All the things that you guys have been saying. Dont you want to know exactly how they did those things that made the guy you hate sooooo much President?

-13 ( +1 / -14 )

Why would Trump bring it up when the FBI is looking into collusion? Because he knows there is no collusion.

Trump has never said the FBI, or any government agency official has told him with certainty there is no collusion. In fact, he's fired Comey and does't trust the FBI, and we haven't heard the results of Mueller's investigation, as of yet.

Because he lies to himself so often, he's confused what is real and what isn't, and he could convince himself he has no idea, whether he was involved, or not. It's just like did he meet, did he not meet Putin before. When it fit his narrative or put himself in a higher light, he either met him or not, depending on when his lies benefited him, and he believes both stories, straight out of 1984 and doublethink. So, whether he had staff, relatives or himself possibly involved with collusion, he'd lie about without thinking twice, and believe anything he thinks up at that moment, as true.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Some Trump supporters will defend him no matter the story and the angle. I'm guessing his knowledge of commuters is limited, even though he knows how to tweet, which my 90-year-old-mother could do too. Both Russia and China are the enemy when it comes to cyber crime and warfare. Would the DOD accept free computers from China? Trump had better stick to the golf and will do less damage on the links than trying to link up with Putin a mastermind of deceit who evens fools his own people.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

I still support our President as I have seen no evidence to date publicly presented that shows that Russia is the only reason why he won.

first off, even if you were presented with such evidence, you would either deny it  by saying it was fake news or you would try to justify it. so spare us this "i'll believe it when i see it" bs. it's quite stale by now.

second of all, no one has ever said that it was the only reason trump one, no one. no body. many people have said that they aren't sure how much it helped, but it did certainly give trump an extra advantage. so again, you distort words and ideas to fit your narrative. it really is hopeless arguing with someone of your intellect.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

"It's not the dumbest idea I have ever heard but it's pretty close," Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina told NBC's"Meet the Press" program.

Then I'd sure like to know what the dumbest idea Graham's head is. Probably: Trump for President.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

*heard

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I still support our President as I have seen no evidence to date publicly presented that shows that Russia is the only reason why he won.

You've adapted from "there is no evidence of meddling" to "there is no evidence that the meddling actually affected anything. Kudos to you for at least accepting the meddling did occur.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I would say Lindsay Graham for President is the dumbest idea Lindsay Graham has ever heard. What did he get, 1% of the vote in the Republican primary?

second of all, no one has ever said that it was the only reason trump one, no one. no body. many people have said that they aren't sure how much it helped, but it did certainly give trump an extra advantage. so again, you distort words and ideas to fit your narrative. it really is hopeless arguing with someone of your intellect.

Then from someone of your intellect, I have a question.

I would like to hear why Dems and libs are still claiming Trump he is illegitimate and must be impeached if what you say is true. Russia involvement was not the only reason, and we dont know how much it helped, but he must be removed anyway because muh Russia? Or are you ok with him staying President, as he is duly elected?

How did Russia give him an extra advantage? That people were able to read Hillary and Podesta emails and see the truth on how horrible they are? How about Hillary's advantage of having the debate questions in advance, cool with that? The DNC hack seems to be the only thing that caused a negative impact, yet Russia involvement for that is unproven to date.

Also, while I have you here, whats my narrative? Please explain it as someone of my intellect can obviously not even understand my own narrative, as I thought the lib side were the narrative people.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Same reason as IT firms hire ex-hackers as cyber security. If you partner with the Russians on this, then you get first hand knowledge of their tools, methods and capabilities. Its not that it wont work, its a POLITICAL non starter, as the article says

The Russians would also get firsthand knowledge of the US' tools, methods, and capabilities, which is why this proposal wouldn't work. That it wouldn't work politically is a separate issue that was so glaringly obvious Truml should never have brought it up.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

You've adapted from "there is no evidence of meddling" to "there is no evidence that the meddling actually affected anything. Kudos to you for at least accepting the meddling did occur.

We all have seen no evidence of ANYTHING really, just 3 or 4 agencies saying it and expecting us to believe it. But you guys keep changing the words back and forth from meddling to interference to collusion, so my position keeps changing. I can believe that Russia attempted to meddle or interfere based on what the intel agencies said. But it was unsuccessful, everyone said that. No votes changed, no changes in voter registrations, everyone who wanted to vote did and everyone's vote was for who they voted for.

I also see no evidence whatsoever yet of collusion by Trump himself. Been waiting 8 months now.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

You said posters, not Russians. So I would imagine that would mean people who post here.

You sure are touchy about this . . .

Wtf? How can you even dream this:

But now somehow you are against partnering with them to possibly get some insight into what they know and how they do it. Maybe because we find that they didnt even do it in the first place? But whatever skills we do learn from them, we could use what we learn to block China/N Korea, etc. too

You seem to think once the US and Russia are working together, Russia will just open its files and cease to become a country in competition with the US. Those are some heavily rose-to tinted glasses.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Dont you want to know exactly how they did those things that made the guy you hate sooooo much President?

Do you believe that happened, yes or no?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

think the Americans who continue to support him will say well done Don

Well done Don!

It seems the Russians supporting him will also say Well done Don!

7 ( +7 / -0 )

The Russians would also get firsthand knowledge of the US' tools, methods, and capabilities, which is why this proposal wouldn't work.

It wouldnt work also because Russia (and the whole world) already knows because the CIA was careless with their information and Wikileaks did a dump of all the tools and methods they use. Including telling us how they can make any hack look like the Russians did it. Hmmm.....

The reason Trump had to mention this conversation is because they had it. If he hadnt mentioned they talked about it and the Russians did, you guys would have gone nuts saying he was hiding something. So he released all they talked about, even the things that probably wont work. I think it would work, but politics wont allow it, so its done.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

Fascinating to watch. Among the previous 44 presidents of the United States, some have been very influential, some less so - but, at least in modern history, none have been irrelevant. That Trump will be the first irrelevant president of the modern age is ironic as it is the "deep state" that many of his supporters so deeply distrust, yet these are exactly the professionals who will keep government running in the effective absence of a chief executive. Trump, the Great Oz. Just don't look behind the curtain.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Do you believe that happened, yes or no?

Yes, I believe that Russia(ns) ATTEMPTED to meddle in or influence the US elections. Same as the US does to other countries, remember Obama publicly supporting Macron in the French election? But as an attempt does not guarantee success, NO, I dont believe or see any evidence that Russia was successful in their attempts. Success would have been the ability to change voter or to disrupt voting systems or registration databases to the point they had invalid info or couldnt be used at all.

As you well know, I believe the whole Russia collusion narrative is nonsense made up by Hillary and the media to pass the blame for their shocking loss.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Same as the US does to other countries, remember Obama publicly supporting Macron in the French election?

Yup. I remember Obama instructing his intelligence agencies to act through a third country and hack not only the server of Le Pen's campaign manager but also that of the National Front and then selectively leak those emails through Wikileaks. Don't you? That's why the French are so angry at the US right now.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

So he released all they talked about, even the things that probably wont work. I think it would work, but politics wont allow it, so its done

That makes no sense. On the one hand, Russia didn't interfere, on the other hand they could help solve a problem that doesn't even exist? Riiigghhttt

By the way, have you heard about DJT Jr. arranging a meeting with a Russian lawyer to get damaging HRC info? Hmmmmm

7 ( +8 / -1 )

I'm not surprised this ignoramus wouldn't continue to reason that sharing top-secrete US information with Russia was a bad thing. After all, he couldn't keep his loose-lips shut back in May when he blurted out classified ISIS information to Kislyak and Lavrov in the White House (of all the places...), in a juveninal attempt to show off in front of others.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Marco Rubio: Partnering with Putin on a "Cyber Security Unit" is akin to partnering with Assad on a "Chemical Weapons Unit"

Rubio finally has a point, the Russian cyber attacks and Assad's chemical attacks both have much in common, in that both are completely baseless accusations.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

By the way, have you heard about DJT Jr. arranging a meeting with a Russian lawyer to get damaging HRC info? Hmmmmm

I dont see anything wrong with that if what has been reported is all that happened. Sounds like the Dems used a false pretense to go fishing, as the people involved were actually doing opposition research against Trump and had nothing on Hillary. The attendees found out the meeting was bogus and left. The Russian lawyer confirms she had and has nothing to do with the Russian government. So its a crime to meet with a foreigner who says they have damaging info about a political opponent? Well if so.....

“Specifically, we have learned that the person who sought the meeting is associated with Fusion GPS, a firm which according to public reports, was retained by Democratic operatives to develop opposition research on the President and which commissioned the phony Steele dossier. "

I have also heard about the FBI paying the expenses of an ex-foreign spy also associated with Fusion GPS. That would be the above mentioned Steele who was paid to do Democratic party opposition and who created the mostly debunked Russia dossier that Comey used to start an investigation. Also heard Comey proposed paying the guy $50,000 more for any more damaging info he could get.

Also, have you heard that at least half James Comey's supposedly personal memos were identified as government documents by the FBI and found to contain classified information?

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

"It's not the dumbest idea I have ever heard but it's pretty close," Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina told NBC's"Meet the Press" program.

It's Trump. Does anyone actually expect the guy to make sense? Or tell the truth?

"There has been no penalty," McCain, who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee, told CBS' "Face the Nation" program according to a CBS transcript. "Vladimir Putin ... got away with literally trying to change the outcome ... of our election."

Yup. Some good has come out of it, mind. Trump is terrified of Putin and therefore, will think twice before launching a pre-emptive armageddon-baiting attack on DPRK. It's not a perfect state of affairs - America is still under siege from the Trump Reich - but at least nuclear conflict is averted. That's my positive spin on a dodgy situation...

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Also, buried in the story is how the NY Times knows about this meeting. It was already reported by Jared Kushner himself in his security clearance forms that should be confidential but that once again were leaked by someone to NY Times. DJT Jr. isnt required to list any Russia connections or meetings because he has no clearance. So they knew about the meeting because it was already self reported, doesnt sound very nefarious to me.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

And Nero fiddled ( or in this case, twittered ) while Rome burned. The Russians, and Chinese, must be rolling on the floor laughing.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Previous headline:

Analysis: Donald Trump Jr.’s stunningly incriminating statement to the New York Times

New headline:

Donald Trump Jr.’s stunning admission to the New York Times

Thats some quick backtracking there.

Trump Jr.’s attempt to obtain information from a Russian lawyer that could harm Clinton seems likely to alarm investigators, regardless of whether the effort proved successful.

James Comey's attempt to obtain information from an ex British spy that could harm Trump seems likely to alarm investigators, regardless of whether the effort proved successful. Oh wait, no everyone was fine with that because it was to hurt Trump. But let Trump Jr. join a 20 min meeting with someone who gave him nothing and didnt get anything in return and its a problem? At least Comey got a fake dossier out of his meeting.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

Pretty crazy stuff sending retarded Eric Junior to meet with the dodgy Russians. He'll babble like a mountain stream under interrogation.

It's about time the whole corrupt family were hauled in and leant on.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Nobody loves backtracking more than me. No-one, ok? I love backtracking. I have a great record in backtracking. Fantastic. Trust me.

Believe me. I'm the most honest guy.

Believe me.

I'm going to fix it. OK.

I'm going to fix it all.

All of it, I'm going to fix it.

It's fake news, okay guys?

It's all fake news.

Very FAKE NEWS.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

how does the NYT know?? its called investigative journalism. remember that? And why did Donny Jr. come up with two explanations for the meetings? he's as guilty as sin.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Donald junior sorry my mistake. He seems less retarded in all fairness but still carrying that extra chromosome.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

BlackLab As you well know, I believe the whole Russia collusion narrative is nonsense made up by Hillary and the media to pass the blame for their shocking loss.

Thank you for keeping the Trump-Russian narrative ongoing. More attention needs to be given to it. It will be good to find out what Trump, his family, and his WH appointee's connections to Putin and Russia might actually be.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Trump CV (Personal interests, hobbies, sports etc.)

Twittering, self-flattery, stone-walling, blondes, golf in Scotland, slouching, and backtracking in the Appalachians.

Thank you for keeping the Trump-Russian narrative ongoing. More attention needs to be given to it. It will be good to find out what Trump, his family, and his WH appointee's connections to Putin and Russia might actually be.

Sure thing! No way I am letting this drop without coming to an independent conclusion. Lots of the breathless newspaper declarations of guilt for lots of people just disappear or simply arent talked about anymore once they are found to be wrong. I want once and for all for an investigation to either put this rest or to identify what crimes were committed and who committed them. I am very interested in the Hillary/Podesta collusion with Russia angle as well. We cant forget to clear up that part in the final report once and for all.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

What are the odds today of President Pence pardoning Trump?

I'd say excellent. Pence will run in 2020 and knows he needs votes. The Trump cultists will demand a pardon. They're roughly 35% of the US population. They constitute a minority, but it's a voting base the Republicans need. (Some cultists won't vote and will crawl back to their gun clubs, and hopefully return again to not voting after losing their cult leader.) The billionaire Republican supporters will continue to back Pence. They've been able to take even greater control of the US during Trump'ss early days and will want to continue their power grabs. Curious indeed that so few Americans are commenting these days.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Interesting how the lead story on cnn.com now says that KUSHNER was promised damaging info on Hillary. No, actually it was Donald Trump Jr. as they were reporting earlier, they just changed it.

It has been the story all weekend that Trump Jr was the guy for this, why the sudden change? They know it was Don Jr.'s meeting and not Kushner's. I think they just realized that a hit piece on Don Jr doesnt help and that Kushner is a better target for the narrative.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Don Jr. Kushner, what's the difference? They are both relatives who wouldn't be involved unless for this disgusting level of nepotism. it would be like

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I dunno, PTownsend. Assuming Trump does not deteriorate further (physically, mentally, politically - and that's a big if), he would be loathe to resign and have that historical LOSER mark attached to whatever sordid legacy he leaves. My guess is he'll try to make it through the full four years, aided and abetted by members of his party who only want a chief executive capable of wielding a pen. Not that that fractious group is likely to put anything of importance on his desk. Healthcare was supposed to be the easy run up to tax reform (they'd had almost a decade to strategize, after all), and it's now as dead as a doornail.

As is Trump. Prepare for several years of a Zombie Presidency. It's every legislator for himself now.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Assuming Trump does not deteriorate further (physically, mentally, politically - and that's a big if)

Much as I loathe the man and all the greed he epitomises; wouldn't wish the mental degradation of alzheimers/dementia on him. It's no way to go; if that's what's happening. Did not (another wrong 'un) Reagan have the illness (whilst actually President)?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Don Jr. Kushner, what's the difference?

Just a small thing called the actual truth and another little thing called responsible journalism.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

Trump is such a cretin. How could he think for a moment that this was a good idea? Then when he runs into the usual storm of criticism from friend and foe alike (with the exception of a few extreme blind loyalists on this site, of course), he does a 180-degree turn and acts as if he had not made the ludicrous suggestion in the first place! He really needs to learn that words have meanings. The 'art of the deal'? Oh, please.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Don Jr, Kushner, Eric and Ivanka are all utterly talentless nobodies who would not be within a thousand miles of business or politics if not for their famous dad. So let's not forget that.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Let's not mince words here; this is treason.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I would like to hear why Dems and libs are still claiming Trump he is illegitimate and must be impeached if what you say is true.

This is completely unintelligible. But, we have clarification soon:

Russia involvement was not the only reason, and we dont know how much it helped, but he must be removed anyway because muh Russia?

We aren't saying it's the only reason. You seem to be making that logical leap. That's on you. We are saying if he, or members of his campaign, colluded/coordinated/consulted with the Russians, we deserve to know about it.

Or are you ok with him staying President, as he is duly elected?

Duly in the meaning of twice, or in the proper or expected way?

I need to do this on a different platform.

PT,

Curious indeed that so few Americans are commenting these days.

Who needs them we have paid Russian contributors.

There's plenty of sane American protesting the insanity of Trump.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

This is what happens when there's a fake president in the White House who didn't even bother to read the job description and decided to play it by ear but it would be better for the nation if he just played golf instead.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

yet 6 people downvote me for saying it actually does matter if Trump Jr or Kushner did it. Because one person did and it's the truth while the other one didn't and it's a lie. Guess to you guys it really doesn't matter who, just anyone who can be linked to Trump.

@swift remove the word he from between Trump and is, then it makes sense. Duly: as in accordance with what is required and appropriate, like winning the election that anyone could have joined but either didn't or lost.

I think you're way too deep into GoT.

The way its shaping, it seems like the left has more to do with Russian collusion than previously thought.

There's plenty of sane American protesting the insanity of Trump.

And there are many Americans that think liberals and Democrats are so insane, they don't want to elect them for anything.

The way its shaping, it seems like the left has more to do with Russian collusion than previously thought.

Prove it

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Might as well invite the KGB to the While House, just to make sure everything is setup correctly

6 ( +6 / -0 )

How about you proving that the Trump administration was colluding with the Russians, tell us something, maybe you know more than the experts? But then again, I keep forgetting liberals know everything and it shows in the political positions they hold....held...lol

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

How about you proving that the Trump administration was colluding with the Russians, tell us something, maybe you know more than the experts?

No, no. Prove it. Its a question you're so fond. Prove. If you can't its just more fake news from the clown constituency. ;)

5 ( +5 / -0 )

No, no. Prove it.

Comey, Brennan, Yates, Clapper all said, there's no evidence, if there were, he'd already been in hot water. 6 months and nothing. Another rabbit hole and wasting time.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

Oh and in a couple more hours when people wake up we can add James Comey to the being investigated list. So it's still up in the air which side Mueller will damage most.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

This would be kinda funny if it weren't so - okay, well, yeah, it is really funny: White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus has accused Democratic operatives of arranging that meeting between the core staff of Trump's campaign (plus his eldest son) and that Russian lawyer who was clearly intent on alleviating sanctions on Russia. “There’s more questions on the Democrat side than anywhere else,” Priebus said on “Fox News Sunday.”

Okay, let's grasp what Priebus is saying here: Democratic operatives collaborated with a Kremlin lawyer to lure the core of Trump's team into a meeting with her because they knew that it would be a problem later. That sounds likely.

Talk about grasping at straws.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Oh and in a couple more hours when people wake up we can add James Comey to the being investigated list. So it's still up in the air which side Mueller will damage most.

Should be very interesting to see.

Comey, Brennan, Yates, Clapper all said, there's no evidence, if there were, he'd already been in hot water.

Ah, so what did Comey and Brennan say? Do be specific.

You do realize Hillary and Podesta are being investigated too, right?

Can you prove it?

Should be very interesting to see.

Yes, Donny's Twitter response will be very interesting. And robust. What a tough guy, the way he uses his tiny thumbs to communicate big words from his small mind.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Trump just dropped the tweet about Comey leaking classified info. As the FBI decided those aren't his personal papers as he hoped, I wonder how CNN will write the headline for this one?

You guys just never gonna admit what Comey did was wrong huh? Yet FBI presented those memos to Congress as government documents and 4 of them ar least were classified. At least according to anonymous sources, which you guys never mind to agree with.

Yet FBI presented those memos to Congress as government documents and 4 of them ar least were classified

Yet Joffrey spoke at Mar a wotsit about DPRK with Abe... or discussed Syria in public with Russian representatives?

And tried to fool congress and intelligence agencies about non existent Comey tapes?

Out with Trump! Now! Before he destroys your country.

Hilarious response from the CC. Since when has the CC ever acknowledged Donny's flaws.

Still waiting on those links.

talking about what Comey did that was illegal. thehill.com is primary source. Comey was ok as long as he was hiding behind his personal documents excuse. That's gone now. So why did he have government classified documents in his possession after his firing?

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

talking about what Comey did that was illegal. thehill.com is primary source

No, what Comey did was not illegal. "Thehill.com" is hardly an authoritative source on the law.

remember Obama publicly supporting Macron in the French election?

Remember Obama wasn't the president at that time?

Also, get your Comey propaganda correct. We don't yet know whether he signed the agreement that made his memos government property. The director could well not sign the same paperwork as rank and file members. Additionally, we do not know if the memos he released contained classified information. We know some of the memos did, but not which ones.

So he is just asking the State Department for information and a response about things that are criminal in nature if they happened. Things the ex Sec of State might have done.

Nah that wouldn't be an investigation he just wants to know for reasons or something. Let's just call this a matter too. By that definition no one is under investigation then, even Mueller just looking for info too.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

It's not the dumbest idea I have ever heard but it's pretty close,

This is man who works closely with GOP lawmakers including those in the disturbed ward.

Can you imagine just how competitive the field he's talking about actually is?

Ridiculous. You stated that Clinton was under some kind of active investigation by the Senate Intelligence Committee. This is false because there is no investigation--none, nada, zip. All you have is Grassley asking for information so that he might start one. This is not the same thing that Mueller is doing now regarding his investigations into Trump's Russia scandals.

Remember kids, Donny loves the poorly educated.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

So Russia gets caught meddling in US elections and Trump wants to get together with them on cyber-security? I hope there is something more to this idea than that. Unless it's a ruse for something else this is completely ridiculous.

Americans must be getting soooo sick of winning.

And how long before Nixon was rumbled?

But there was deliberate intent

Dear lord, indeed

Keep digging.

Ah, so what did Comey and Brennan say? Do be specific

Said, repeatedly, There was no evidence of Trump and collusion. Desperation is the liberals way.

Yes, Donny's Twitter response will be very interesting. And robust. What a tough guy, the way he uses his tiny thumbs to communicate big words from his small mind.

Yup, notice now how NATO is contributing more, how he shuts down the press, how he's shoving it all back in their face. Tough indeed.

No, not what they said. Hey, wonder what brennan thinks about the latest news?

My God, you really are obsessed with the idea of Trump and collusion, aren't you? The focus is so plainly on Russian interference in the election, and yet you keep defending Trump against something almost no one is accusing him of. What gives? Do you know something that we don't? Or are you simply living inside Trump's nightmare brain, where every sensory input is interpreted in regard to its value to make The Donald happy?

6 ( +7 / -1 )

how he shuts down the press, how he's shoving it all back in their face. Tough indeed.

Yeah, that's real tough of him. I hope the press learns its proper place and starts writing stories that make our president feel great again.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

And as far as Comey you guys are missing the point that according to the source the intelligence committee asked the FBI to give them the documents. When they finally did they presented the documents as government documents and also marked at least 4 of them as classified. So doesn't matter what was said by Comey or anyone else prior to this.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

No, not what they said. Hey, wonder what brennan thinks about the latest news?

Trumped ceded ground to Russia:

Yeah....about that, I'll go with one of the most brilliant lawyer in the country over anything ANY network says.

https://youtu.be/l1TDWSkdn2o

My God, you really are obsessed with the idea of Trump and collusion, aren't you?

You have got to be kidding me! You guys can talk about nothing else BUT the Russian collusion which is fine by me, 56% of the public wants the country to move on to other things, I want the Dems to stay in the wilderness that time forgot, so please, keep digging and keep eating with the deers, they need love and comfort too.

The focus is so plainly on Russian interference in the election, and yet you keep defending Trump against something almost no one is accusing him of. What gives?

Dont give me that, the Democrats still believe that Trump was involved in some way with this, but admittingly, the Dems shifted from the failed attempt to show proof collusion on Trump's part, so we now have changed to obstruction. Geez...lol

Do you know something that we don't? Or are you simply living inside Trump's nightmare brain, where every sensory input is interpreted in regard to its value to make The Donald happy?

The ONLY thing I know is, I like Democrats right where they are: in the Wilderness. Hey, they love nature so much, best place for them to roam.

what happened to awaiting the results of an investigation before prematurely trying to end it? This issue deserves a full and complete investigation no matter how long it takes just like any other, doesn't it?

Yep, so stop trying to tell us that this whole "Russia thing" is over and that we should just move on.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Meanwhile is this the first time CNN and NY Times have waited more than 10 mins to report a Trump tweet? Guess they still trying to write a flattering headline about Comey for it. Washington post article mentioned it briefly as an angry tweet then right back to other tweets they want to push more. CNN tv top story still Russia collusion and Trump Jr.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Yeah....about that, I'll go with one of the most brilliant lawyer in the country over anything ANY network says.

Lol news from a month ago has, nothing to do with the latest news. Keep going.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

The idea of cross-border Cyber security cooperation sounds good in principle, but when it comes down to the actual implementation there's one potential area of conflict - namely National Security, which would undermine the original intent.

Hacking groups are generally anarchists who don't really care which County they attack, so a closer cooperation in identifying Hackers and bringing them to justice could surely be a good thing, failure to do so by one Country, would on the other hand suggest that they may be state sponsored by that Country...

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Not about the length of the news, homie. It's about the law in general overall. Get that nugget!

What does Trump ceding ground last now have to do with a clip from over a month ago? Nothing so keep digging.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

PTownsend: The Trump cultists will demand a pardon. They're roughly 35% of the US population.

That's that same number I have them pegged at too, about 35%. You can see it in the opinion polls when Trump does something dumb and 35% of the people surveyed still support it. We need to get that number somewhere under 30%, but it's hard when Trump has a lock on the entire conspiracy theorist crowd. 52% of Trump fans believe pizzagate was true, 27% think vaccines cause autism, and over 60% think Obama is Muslim.

How do you have a conversation about Russian hacking with someone who believes stuff like that?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Maybe Russia IS INNOCENT of the Hacking.... I think it was an inside job... literally...

I just went over to Fox News and they are reporting on a "bombshell" from Trump about Comey and classified info. Nice timing, eh?

Their coverage of the Trump Jr. story is one of the smaller side videos where they simply ask if a Democrat put the Russians up to it.

That, my friends, is one heck of a bubble.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Yet on CNN it's like a person named James Comey doesn't even exist. At least Washington post tried to cover him by saying that maybe he didn't keep or leak the 4 classified ones just the one which was for sure leaked to the newspaper.

yet when he testified he was asked if he had a copy of the noteS still and he said he turned THEM over to Mueller. Does your friend have a copy of the memoS? They had a copy. Do they still have a copy of the memoS? Yes I think so.

This was after he had been fired yet he and his friend still had the memoS. That's illegal in and of itself even if he didn't leak the classified ones.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Sorry black but I'm taking some time off from your convoluted posts. I'll be back with you in a short while.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

What does Trump ceding ground last now have to do with a clip from over a month ago? Nothing so keep digging.

It has everything to do with one of the greatest lawyer in US history and Professor at the School of Law at Harvard says, the Feds are in an uphill battle. Look, I know you don't like Trump, but let's say for fun and as a hypothetical, if the Dems had majorities and could impeach Trump, then what? We'd have a REAL conservative and then it's back to square one because now we have a president Pence. Either way, it still looks bad for the left.

Good luck!

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Yup, notice now how NATO is contributing more, how he shuts down the press, how he's shoving it all back in their face. Tough indeed.

Nothing in this statement is accurate. The claims regarding NATO spending increases being attributable to Trump are demonstrably false:

Experts see concerns about Russia as the principle driving factor behind increasing defense budgets. The allies unanimously pledged to meet the 2% target by 2024 at the NATO summit in Wales in 2014 shortly after Russia's military invasion of Crimea.

Trump wasn't even mouthing off about NATO in 2014. More journalistic integrity.

Always, my good man.

You have a good morning.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Yeah, there's always been a deal in place for them to increase their spending. Linking it to Trump would require the work of a legitimate journalist.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

We'd have a REAL conservative and then it's back to square one because now we have a president Pence. Either way, it still looks bad for the left.

Not bad for just "the left". Bad for America. Bad for the world.

So Russia gets caught meddling in US elections and Trump wants to get together with them on cyber-security? I hope there is something more to this idea than that. Unless it's a ruse for something else this is completely ridiculous.

So Wolfpack, you finally wake up to the fact that your Dear Leader is a loon. Obama would never have proposed such a stupid idea. Again, you could have saved years of wasted posts if you had read the liberal posts about your boy from the beginning. Anyway, at least you have the capacity to face reality, others on the rightwing nutter butter team on JT, as is clear from above, are simply going down with the Trump Titanic. How anyone could have voted for such a transparent fraud it simply amazing. I did not see the traitor stuff coming and conspiring with Putin to win the election. That is off the charts horrible. And of course there is more that is still being hidden from the public. Like money changing hands, from Russia to the tiny tiny hands of the Dear Leader.

Who would have a hard time getting a hardcore conservative agenda past those hypothetical Democrat majorities in Congress. Didn't think that through very carefully, did you?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Obvious most confused man is Mr Trump, how could he lead America is indeed a million $ question; i thing congress need to have complete control on him he is some chatter box type person - his mouth can never stop - that is his problem i presume. Anyway he brought ill repute to the Americans every American might be cursing himself or herself privately, indeed very sad situation never Americans faced i think even Nixon was better off.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Now you understand a little bit of what I felt for the last 8 years. Frustrating, isn't it?

Except, now, there's an actual logical reason for it.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Who would have a hard time getting a hardcore conservative agenda past those hypothetical Democrat majorities in Congress. Didn't think that through very carefully, did you?

We've all thought that through. And, a president who behaves like a mature, relatively mentally stable adult, even if the majority of Americans might disagree with him on policy, is still preferable to a mentally unstable, emotionally stunted, ignorant, incurious, selfish, orange-tinted buffoon, who embarrasses his nation and people on a daily basis.
