And we all know just how intelligent and scientific Trump is.

Of course Trump agrees with Putin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin says humans not responsible for climate change

One of the many problems having a septuagenarian like Trump in the White House, especially a narcissist whose faculties are slipping, is he obviously has little regard for anyone but himself and zero regard for future generations, and little regard for the children one of his wives has borne for him.

If Trump would release his most current tax info, the public could learn which oil, gas and coal industries, in the US and abroad, he's invested in.

And also learn what his property and other business connections are to Putin, Saudi princes, plus other putative 'royals' in the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait, i.e. leaders of oil and gas producing states.

It’s so gratifying to have the most powerful world leader reject the global warming pseudoscience scam. If it wasn’t for President Trump, billions of dollars would have been wasted on that nonsense.

I've seen it, I've read some of it, and it's fine

Given Trump’s relationship with the truth, that translates as “I haven’t even looked at it. I have no intention of looking at it and even if I did, I wouldn’t understand it”

Saying climate change is a hoax created by the Chinese saves so much time for golf and TV.

He needs to do a rally with a snowball.

Odd that Trump cited global climate change in a legal case as being responsible for sea level rises that required him to build walks to protect his golf courses.

It’s not hard for him to do. The north east was hit with an early snowstorm that stopped traffic in NYC. People had to sleep in their cars in the freezing weather. Also the Chicago area is covered by an early snow that has cancelled more than 600 flights.

it would make more sense to release these reports during the summer.

The average French working man remains unimpressed by global warming figures. Gasoline costs $7.06 a gallon thanks to carbon taxes implemented in France.

Yes, Trump pointed this out a few days ago, showing that he does not even understand the difference between weather and climate.

If he can't understand such basic concepts, he should really know to shut up about science - something he knows nothing about.

"Right now, we're at the cleanest we've ever been and it's very important to me," Trump said.

I would wager that the United States was cleaner in the late 18th century than it is today.

Trump has also rolled back Obama-era environmental and climate rules such as the Clean Power Plan

So it won't be clean for much longer.

The same guy, when asked why he supports tariffs, says "I don't know. I just do." That's the guy in charge of our government. Now, with zero scientific background or knowledge, he says "I don't believe it" regarding the climate report. He's a dope but even worse are the enablers who echo his line because they are stupid and/or gutless.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

What none of you seem to understand is that the climate hasn’t changed. NYC and Chicago are still cold during the winter and Panama is still hot and humid.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

The beauty of Trump. You don't have to believe anything you don't like.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

"I don't believe it."

= "I don't like it."

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Don’t blame a Trump because people stuck in the snow or receiving oil heating subsidies don’t believe in global warming. Any rage should be directed at the global war it’s who can’t explain to someone standing in the snow in NYC that the world is getting warmer.

And none of the calculations that global warminsts throw out take into account the advances in thermometers.

Stop crying that people don’t agree with something that hasn’t been clearly explained. Nobody answers the questions asked by people who have to shovel snow each and every year. Or by people who don’t understand why they aren’t swimming to work like they were told they would be 20 years ago.

Bingo! 100% agreed!

Exactly. This is why I don't believe the Earth is round. Nobody has clearly explained to me why I didn't fall off into space when I went to Australia last year.

Also, if atoms are mostly empty space, why can't I walk through walls?

Why does the denial of climate science seem to be extraordinarily concentrated in the US rightwing and watchers of infowars?

This has the characteristics of a creed.

It's been explained over and over and over again. It's not scientists fault if people refuse to read or reject the facts just "because".

Nobody answers the questions asked by people who have to shovel snow each and every year.

Literally the first result when searching "climate change snow storm" on Google :

Stop crying that people don’t agree with something that hasn’t been clearly explained.

Oh, it's been clearly explained lots. It's just that a lot of morons tied their opinion on the matter to a political stance - about as stupid and anti-societal thing any partisan ever could do. So instead of spending the last couple of decades dealing with the issue, we've instead been fighting a bunch of hyper-extremists to even accept that the people who aren't morons already knew to be true, because the really smart people who actually spend all their time studying it have told us.

The problem is that some people are too stupid to even realize they are stupid, and instead believed someone who lied to them, because that person made more money off the status quo, than they will off fixing the problem.

Your elites lied to you. Blame them, not the rest of us.

I don't believe it.

"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it."

5 ( +6 / -1 )

No major economic .impact? Try telling that to Paradise (or was it "Pleasure"?) Being wiped off the map is not so good for the economy.

But if we're clean but every other place on Earth is dirty, that's not so good.

A broken clock is right twice a day -this is true, and makes pulling out of the Paris Accords all the more foolish. But then, Trump has never been known for logical consistency.

Sigh. This is a prevalent attitude of Trump and those of his generation who made their minds up on the issue a long, long time ago. Largely because of the kind of people who were warning about it. Nothing will change their minds about it at this late stage. They will just ignore and deny any and all evidence suggesting they are wrong.

If pressed on the issue, of course, they will talk about how boffins in the 1970s were warning of a new ice age. Look at how they congratulate themselves on not having been taken in by such dire warnings that have fooled those less wise and knowledgeable than themselves.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I don't understand these people. Not Trump mind you, i know his Koch brother buddies sure appreciate him for this but what i don't understand is all the morons in the comment section. Like you do realize the 97% of scientists believe in man made climate change right? So if experts who are experienced in this are tell you that there's a problem, there is a problem. If a cop told me "This is a restricted area, don't cross" I'm not gonna be like "Well that's what he wants me to believe"

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Like you do realize the 97% of scientists believe in man made climate change right?

You’re speaking human. They’re playing partisan.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

The next Ice Age is gonna cost every economy on Earth.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Climate always changes. What people don't want is for climate to change too fast - faster than people could adapt - economically, behaviorally, materially, technologically, etc.

That's how ya guarantee disasters like famine or floods, wars for resources, mass calamities, etc.

Trump, it's not his expertise, this field of climatology - he should leave the scientific conclusions to the experts

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Trump is basically putting his fingers in his ears and singing, "lalalala I'm not listening!!!!"

What a spoiled man-baby. At least I can rest easy in my conscious knowing that I had no part in putting this S-$how in power.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Global warming has been occurring since the last ice age.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Global warming has been occurring since the last ice age.

Yes, that's why it's strange that there are global warming deniers

But what people are worried about is the rate of global warming - too fast and people and the environment can't adapt to keep up

The question is, do human activities have a significant effect on the increasing rate of global warming and can it be reversed to slow down
