Too bad this article didn't quote more of Donny's schizophrenic statements about Bolton. Every time Donny opens his mouth he demonstrates how much of an imbecilic moron he is.
Strangerland
There's a min civil war in the Republican base.
Reality vs the delusions they believe.
The delusions are winning.

Donny demonstrating his loyalty be immediately disparaging former employees HE chose. What an absolute shocker! Wake me when there is real news like Donny acting presidential or going five minutes without lying.

Trump's admin is a bucket of snakes, probably biting each other more as they're left unattended while Trump plays golf, watches Fox and Friends - plus Gorilla TV, looks after his family's investments, and sends tweets to celebrities.
And a reality in any large organization, when the leader spends little time in office, sets no clear goals, is erratic, has poor communication skills, flip-flops and outright lies, the snakes get nastier.

The key is the weird reference to "toughness." The root of the disagreement was that Bolton wanted to start wars and bomb countries beyond what even Trump could stomach...and yet Trumpy can't let it be seen that he fired someone for being tougher than himself. So he's trying to make it sound like Bolton was too tough in some ways, not tough enough in others, or the "wrong kind" of tough. Or something.
Nobody can be tougher than Trump, by his own definition...and it was Bolton's notoriously "tough" (i.e. mindlessly belligerent) views that initially endeared him to Trump...and yet those same "tough" views finally forced Trump to get rid of him.... It's quite a quandary for the moron to make sense of.

My post from yesterday:
This is a good thing.

In fairness, there always has been one. The US State Department has always had experts - it has attracted many of the best and the brightest - who are pro-war, those who are anti-war, and those in-between. Every federal agency has always had variations on that 'civil war' fitting their respective missions. They have long 'fought' the others.
Previous presidents have listened to all voices, read the reports, weighed the info, but tended to lean one way or the other based on their beliefs.
Who knows what Trump actually believes beyond finding ways to get richer while in office.
One problem with Trump is he's too lazy to deal with issues at any level of complexity, instead trusts his uninformed gut - or sides with the highest bidder. Trump's made the 'civil wars' worse. Much to the delight of the global alt right, Putin and Xi.

And a familiar pattern continues....
When hired: Only the best....brilliant and experienced....none better.....
When fired: A disaster.....out of line.....war monger.....nut-job....
If only the deluded would realize the only nut-job is the one at the top....

Trump called Bolton a disaster, Bolton called Trump a liar.
Must be refreshing for both of them to speak Truth for once.

I hoped he would myself. It almost looked like he would for a bit too... but then his inner troll won out.
That's sad. The reasonable Republicans need a new party that represents their needs. Someone that the Democrats can work together with to truly represent the will of the people, with whom they can also work together against the extremists who have taken over the Republican party in the past decades.

Written by Kelly and Mattis (both gone) and delivered like a robot - everyone knows Donnie didn't believe a word he was reading....
Swap Russian for American and you hit the nail on the head....

Normal. In contrast to totalitarian states like China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, North Korea etc. where any who disagree with the despot are out of work. Or worse.
Democracies and their institutions are always messy.

I'm unwilling to have someone who lies more than they tell the truth in office.
I didn't vote FOR President Trump, but honestly thought he would become "presidential", magically, on Jan 20th, like every other President before him the last 200+ yrs did.
As a non-religious, fiscal conservative, strict Constitutional interpreter, there isn't any political organization that represents my wishes in the USA. I don't need the Ten Commandments, but the getting 3 of The Five Precepts in Buddhism would be nice.

Whatever the reasons and who's calling who a liar. Bolton is out and it's good. He was definitely pushing for war with his Iran obsession and vendetta.

North Korea is definitely NOT the Libya of northeast Asia and "Dear Comarade K.J." is not as stupid as Colonel Gaddafi! North Korea has nuclear arms and she is not a banana state! also Donny admires "k.J."'s North Korean style society, he wants everyone in the U.S. to admires him like the North Koreans to the Kim's dynasty, he wants a Trump tower stood in the downtown of Pyongyang! Donny also wants a platoon of bodyguards marching along sides of his caravan during his overseas visiting, he likes the "North Korean Style" leadership! The above were what John Bolton has failed to acknowledge and keep his daily rhetoric of yelling bomb this country, bomb that country, topple this guy and that guy....! that's why he got FIRED!

And how about you, Mr. President? Revealing secrets to the Russians in the Oval Office. Secret meetings with Putin and CIA spies running for cover because they don't trust you. As bad as Bolton may have been, he looks a lot better when it comes to being able to distinguish friend from foe.

Donny demonstrating his loyalty be immediately disparaging former employees HE chose.
And if he didn't say anything you'd be saying he's being secretive.
Bolton called his former boss a LIAR.
Since Bolton's a LIAR that must mean Trump isn't a LIAR.
This is a good thing.
Bolton didn't make foreign policy, Trump did. I keep tellin y'all he was keeping him on a tight leash.

I hoped he would myself. It almost looked like he would for a bit too... but then his inner troll won out.
Heck, even CNN was praising Trump on his SOTU speeches as "presidential."
And I'll take a NPC president who gets things done for the American people over a more "presidential" one who doesn't any day.
