Automated nonsensical response.
The victims of terrorism would have a different story to tell, if the dead could speak.

Yep, keep telling yourself that - we know it helps Trumpers sleep better at night. As for Donnie, he's wetting his pants he's so scared - Mueller, the NY District Attorney, Schiff's committee, and he's so stupid he goes on TV and whines he's the subject of "Presidential harrassment" - LOL - I wonder what all the women who had their ____ grabbed by him were a victim of....
Sure, if Trump had been President then, he would have handed all of Ukraine to his partner and Shadow Campaign Manager Putin. There'd be a Trump Hotel there with a Vlad penthouse on top....

The sequel! America loves its sequels!

Their greatest asset is their ability to source funds and weapons, and their fluidity, in Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Indonesia, the Philippines, the western Sahara and Nigeria, for a start. So what has he done about that?
So what has anyone else done about that?
bass4funk
The way they have been leaking and lying.....not to sure about that....maybe They’re wrong, wouldn’t be the first time. When you listen to that idiot Brennan and Clapper....I think Trump may be shockingly right after all.
bass4funk
Yeah, liberals keep tellin themselves the same mantra over and over again, don’t think anyone except the haters are listening to the Russian witch hunt narrative. Kind of reminds me of Gilligan’s Island, same old, same old everyday. Lol
I will say this “a puppet”, I doubt it. Under Trump Ukraine would have ever lost Crimea, so I think we can all say for certainty, Trump was not the muppet for Putin for darn sure.

Is this the level of Trump's understanding? Quote: "Their land is gone. It's a big factor - their land is gone," Trump told foreign ministers.
The whole story of IS is that they will be driven from their land before Armageddon, the final battle. This is written and they all understand that this is how it works, strange and illogical though it may seem to us. Anyone who has studied IS even a little bit will have understood this. I cannot believe that Trump really believes that loss of land has changed their spirit in any way.

Its just part of "promises kept". If Trump doesn't actually start pulling troops out before the end of 2019, he's gonna lose a big chunk of his supporters. Doesn't matter if ISIS is actually still kicking or not, nor if they become a bigger threat to national security.

Interesting, ISIS speaks like a typical Trump supporter..... I can see Donnie uttering these same words when the Muller report comes out...
Or, "My boss, the "Moron", has told me we have to cut and run - and all of our allies are on your own - American First...."
Indeed...

ISIS members have been rumored to be saying, "That's it, man. Game over man, game over! What are we gonna do now?"
"The U.S. troops withdrawing from Syria is not the end of America's fight. The fight is one we will continue to wage alongside you," Pompeo said. "The drawdown in troops is essentially a tactical change, it is not a change in the mission. It simply represents a new stage in an old fight."
Exactly, exactly.

Logic failure.

The chicken & egg problem has been that our continued presence in the Middle East makes us a target and serves to help terrorists recruit new members.
To maintain our access to their oil reserves, we'd been interfering with these nation's self-determination for decades. In Iran, we (and the British) overthrew a democratically elected government to install the Shah back in 1953.
In many of these countries, we've been enabling the wealthy elite and/or ruthless dictators to suppress their fellow citizens, in the correct presumption that a few 1 percenters are easier to cut deals with than an unruly democratic populace. We've done little to help them invest their wealth to diversify their economies, because why would we? Better that they be dependent on us.
But with the advent of social media, the Arab Spring, the unexpected outcome of some extremely conservative people having insane amounts of wealth to play around with, all that came back to bite us in recent times.
So now we're stuck. Do we leave them to work it out on their own, knowing the result will be incredibly bloody and perhaps unacceptable to us? Do we send troops to fix the problems we helped create, knowing that doing so will continue to give the bad guys an easy propaganda target with which to recruit new warriors?
I don't envy anyone trying to figure out the best path out of this mess. It's so complex.

You can’t defeat an idea.
NCIS Reruns
What a pompous, US-centric viewpoint that is. Surely the Kurds and other groups that have been shooting it out with ISIS on the front lines --- and dying by the tens of thousands --- deserve an honorable mention somewhere?
CrazyJoe
Any progress that has been made in the fight against ISIS is the direct result of the efforts and sacrifices of the men and women of America’s intelligence community. The fact that Trump continues to deny their analyses and denigrate their character is beyond despicable.
Toasted Heretic
I'm sure he could declare that the moon is made of cheese and still get whooping applause for it.
Of course he's wrong and his intelligence people know he's wrong and the man on the street knows he's wrong.
I've heard more believable statements at Speaker's Corner.

And once again, Trump's mouth moves while Putin speaks - that must be some powerful chip that he had his KGB pals insert into Trump's brain whle he was there in Moscow fooling around with the hookers.
What a puppet...
Strangerland
Didn't he say they were dead a few weeks back right before ISIS killed 4 American soldiers?
Seems once again Trump is just making things up in his mind and thinking that people will accept them as reality.
PTownsend
I wish that could be the case, but there are still dozens of millions of Americans who actually believe and then parrot every word he says. Socialists! Mexico will pay for the wall! I didn't launder money! I'm not Putin's puppet!
SuperLib
Trump can say what he wants. No one will listen.
Wallace Fred
Well seeing as you're a huge proponent for war, put your money where your mouth is and saddle up!!!

You can 'declare' lots of things.
George W. Bush declared "Mission Accomplished" way back in 2003.
Bill Clinton declared he did not have sex with that woman.
Leonardo DiCaprio once famously declared himself King Of The World.
I declared myself the best looking man on the planet.
What do these four declarations have in common, and what will they have in common with Trump's trumpeting of ISIS's defeat?
Give anyone three guesses, and the first two don't count.
SimondB
Yes, just ignore what your intel people have told you. What would they know?
