In December Trump said he would take responsibility

He said that in front of TV cameras he arranged to advertise himself - again.

but has since shifted the blame to Democrats.

Always the otherguy-did-it defense from the man who's spent his life and inheritance running from problems he's made for himself.

A growing proportion of Americans blame Trump for the closures, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found.

Even some of Trump's key advisors (policy makers?) at Fox'news'.

If security is so important, why won't republicans compromise? Think of the waves and waves of dirty, rotten drug smuggling terrorist children pouring through the southern border to take our jobs as CBP, ICE, and TSA agents are not getting paid.

"They can't go to work, and so then they have the vacation. But they don't have to use their vacation days and then they come back and then they get their back-pay and then they're in some sense better off."

Competence:

Before leaving the White House, Trump tweeted that he was looking forward to convention in Nashville, saying, "Love our farmers, love Tennessee – a great combination!"

The only problem: The convention was in New Orleans; Trump had to delete the message.

A vast majority of the people blame Trump and the GOP for the shutdown. It's their mess to clean up.

Trump is a lost cause -  he's too scared of Ingram, Malkin, Limbaugh and all the other far-right crazies.

But what will it take for the Repubs in the Senate to wake up and do their duty - a terrorist sneaking though an airport and killing a bunch of innocent Americans?  All due to our TSA and Coast Guard not being paid?

The polls are clear on who's to blame and as Donnie has said, "I own the mantle"..

Mr Mitch "The Turtle" McConnell - schedule a vote on the House bill to open the government before we have a real tragedy...

There really needs to be someone at the White House who can tell him he’s playing a losing hand, but it continues anyway.

Either they are telling him and he refuses to listen, or they are too afraid to speak up.

Trump suffers from memory loss. By time he finishes a sentence he forgets what he said at beginning of the sentence. I don't understand how a country can have such a president. Trump's needs to be in a medical institution to treat his mental illnesses.

Some good news for Trump on the border wall in new ABC/WaPo Poll:

Support for a border wall increased from 34% to 42%
