I wonder how many American heads would implode if Mexico welcomed Russian troops to Camp Putin.

It looks like Trump is doing everything possible to get physically closer to Putin. : ) XX

@serrano And there you have it. Trump could find a cure for kidney disease and you'd complain he's screwing the dialysis machine makers.

Whack sense of reality. Why would anyone other than a Trump fetishist even begin to think Trump, who's shown he doesn't even like to read, could do something like that.

He has said, though, that he could shoot someone and his base would still follow him. That says a lot for his base and the regard he has for them.

Trump couldn’t find Poland on a map.

Another attempt by trump to splinter NATO.

I guess that trump is still trying to finish his promise to Putin to destroy NATO.

None of these statements have any basis in reality.

The first of these statements is based on the fact that Trump is very probably the least informed US president. His recent travesty when meeting the Irish PM was an exhibition of appalling ignorance and idiocy.

Whatever your view of Trump, I think we can all agree that depth of knowledge on Europe or any other part of the world isn’t his strong point.

“I could say it, but I don’t want to say it, but some people said it was the best speech ever made by a president in Europe,” he continued, declining to specify who had offered such praise. “But I did not say that. I’m just quoting other people.

Don, please! Your modesty is stunning. Just go ahead and admit that your speech wasn't just the best ever made by a president in Europe, it was the most awesome freaking speech ever made by anyone who ever lived!

Oh, I did have one question though. When you say you were just quoting other people, exactly who were these other folks? KellyAnne? Pence? Melanie? Mitch? Lindsey?

Serrano: By the way, he hasn't damaged the underlying principles of our Republic.

Got that right. The rich keep getting richer, and people on static social security checks keep falling behind, left out of the gains of the system. If the GOP wins the mandate to cut benefits to seniors, then I get more,

But surely you don’t have a problem with that.

Ich bin ein idiot

When the Feds finally come for the whole crime family, Fort Trumpski could also serve as the Trumps' Polish bolthole like Hitler's "Wolf's Lair", plus Putin's protection would just be a stone's throw away.

Donny's doing a great job of keeping us out of issues in foreign countries . . .

3 ( +3 / -0 )

By the way, he hasn't damaged the underlying principles of our Republic.

The principal of co-equal branches of government. The principal of a professional executive. The principal of not appeasing and capitulating to authoritarian tyrants like Kim. The principal of respect for the law. The principal of truth.

Except for those, you're probably correct. TEE HEE! HAR! Oh my . . .

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Interesting but not surprising that Trump is chummy with the holocaust denying Polish President as he is with the immigrant hating Hungary PM.

Both leaders like Trump have worked to undermine their respective constitutions and slowly pushing their countries towards an authoritarian structure .

I wish the US and Russia would keep their noses out of Europe.

Shame on Poland for allowing this.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I thought one of Trumps main election promises was to withdraw the US from all the world trouble spots. I must have misunderstood his English.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

There's no more greater chance of having a permanent Russian base somewhere in the Americas than today's era.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

@serrano By the way, he hasn't damaged the underlying principles of our Republic.

Perhaps in the minds of his followers, particularly those who've long lauded Putin's authoritarianism.

How about stationing some American ICBM's in Turkey? Then we can have a remake of the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

"Russia is always looking out to take our territory."

No, Poland just happens to stand in the way of territories that Russia really want. Oh how short is collective memory!

@IloveCoffee

I can sense a certain island located Northwest of Poland getting angry over the newfound special relationship between Poland and America.

If the people of that island get too angry all the plumbers will go home.

BTW, there have been long standing personal relationships between Americans and Poles for more than 125 years. If one counts people of Polish descent and not just immigrants of the last 50 years, Chicago has the second largest Polish population in the world.

Very bright idea! Erdogan just ditched F-35s, and sure he would be more then delighted to station ICBMs on his territory.

This isn't accurate. The ability of Erdogan to purchase F-35s was taken away, he didn't ditch anything given it wasn't his choice. Words have meanings.

Duda wants the U.S. base against Russia, and at the same time this base will have "Putin's protection"? Exemplary logic

Just because Duda wants it for protection from Russia does not exclude Putin watching out for Donny by protecting the base. Exemplary logic indeed.

@serrano No what what he does he can't win with you

Trump can never 'win' with me. No elected official who further damages the underlying principles of the US democratic republic or any democracy anywhere could ever 'win' with me.

Regardless what the current state of the US economy is. Corrections will occur. Negative externalities are already occurring.

Trump and his family are getting richer while he's in office. That - and getting attention - are all he's ever cared about. He's a repulsive human being. As are those defending his toy (planes, helicopters, fashion models, etc.) counts. As are those defending his quest for greater authority. How's that greater authority for a leader working out in Russia? China? North Korea?

I look forward to "Camp Putin" in Cuba.

"Russia is always looking out to take our territory."

What a moron. Can he explain coherently what for Russia now wants territory of Poland?

Anyway, after Fort Trump the U.S. should not say even a word if Russia deploys its troops in Venezuela, Cuba or Nicaragua. Two can play this game.

More concerned by the possible development and future deployment of next generation Intermediate-Range missile systems.

Install a thousand or so across ex-Warsaw pact states would guarantee to infuriate Russian President Vladimir Putin.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Long overdue if you ask me. Let's just hope Trump doesn't screw it up.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

1,000 American troops vs 1,000,000 Russian active troops?

Our hardware works, theirs doesn’t...as well.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

I think it's about time Russian troops set up base in americas backyard. Venezuela is nice this time of year.

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

For the Russians and their history of combat, 1000 enemy troops wasn't a big matter! If you compared with the battle of Stalingrad where over 1 million perished! It is a cowardice move in Mr.Putin's vision!

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

The Polish people feel threatened, The American President, Political process, tax payers and citizens/ legal residents come to thier aid. We stand strong with them and promise protection.

Shame on the EU for once again doing nothing...

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

@Joeintokyo

I guess the chances of young Polish women getting raped just skyrocketed.

What?! Poland has just changed its immigration policy to ape that of Germany and Sweden?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

@zichi

Poland does not even share a border with Russia so not likely to be a place of invasion.

You seem to be unaware of the excellent relations between Russia and Belarus.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

If the people of that island get too angry all the plumbers will go home.

There you go. Finally i made some of you show us your true colors.

The perpetuation of lies-based narrative in order to assert dominance and power. The narrative that Poles living in England are low-life plumbers who are at the mercy of their righteous English masters, so they shouldn't complain too much.

@Jimizo, see what i am talking about? It's not just a minority, they are the majority. It's what they always think, but rarely say out loud, because they are worried about their image, their fake image based on lies.

Notice the patterns. Make up a lie (=Polish people equal plumbers), repeat the lie, others conform to it, it becomes a mainstream narrative, now you can use it anytime to put others down and assert your dominance. It's such a flawless tactic, but it can only work with a collectivist societies.

Feels good to be vindicated once again.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

You are incorrect.

No, I’m not, sure the Russians have some formidable equipment, but historically, they’re not good at maintaining them.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

That's awesome. Thank goodness there are still countries like Poland and Hungary in this world.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

I wonder how many American heads would implode if Mexico welcomed Russian troops to Camp Putin.

Well I would think a lot of heads would rightly 'implode' if Russia suddenly placed troops in a US-allied country...

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

@Serrano so whats it like living in the US under a Trump government?

It's great! That's why thousands come in, legally and illegally, every month.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Heh. And if Trump had said no way U.S. troops would ever be deployed to Poland, you'd be saying he's Putin's puppet. No what what he does he can't win with you. Good thing it doesn't matter.

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

I wonder how many American heads would implode if Mexico welcomed Russian troops to Camp Putin.

Yeah, but that won’t happen, so we don’t have to worry and these are some of the kickbacks Europe will get if it wants the help of the US in NATO.
