EU members are realizing they are much better off out of the Fourth Reich.

I'll take the bait, despite that being a trawler load of pollock. There is no fourth reich. The EU is an obvious trading partner for the UK, it's on their doorstep. The current mess is of their own making and still the government insists on having their (fish)cake and eating it.

The EU has been beneficial to many sovereign member states, no more so than Ireland, where it has helped safeguard the GFA.

The UK is perfectly entitled to leave the EU, but it shouldn't then try to dictate to the rest of us and complain when things aren't going it's way.

All the cards are held by Britain. The EU is terrified, as well they should be. EU members are realizing they are much better off out of the Fourth Reich.

Fog in the Channel, Continent cut off. Lol. Those aren't cards Britain is holding, they're cow chips.

Meanwhike the UK has racked up 30 freectrade deals, 30 deals that would have been impossible without Brexit.

Are these deals not effectively the same as existing ones between the EU and those countries? I'm basing this on an article from the BBC from a few days ago. 27 deals covering 57 countries/territories from an existing number of 40 deals with 70 countries that the EU has.

There is only one Government Minster I have had the pleasure of knowing that I would momentary describe as cognisant, Alan Johnson. the rest would not know there backside from there elbow.

Governments are either to incompetent or morose to see this coming

My backside! Govt. was fully cognisant of, and Brexit funded by, the venture capitalists.

Most of the British fish caught is sold to the EU

Not quite.

Most British fish are caught by EU boats who have bought the quotas off of British quota holders.

Is the EU going to slap a tariff on British fish quota export? LOL

The EU's (Bureaucratic Brussels) hands will slowly be revealed as undemocratic, self interested and at the expense of EU citizens. The EU's punishment of the UK for leaving will mostly be felt by EU citizens.

Every tariff it slaps on UK export will be a slap on EU industries and businesses.

Mickelicious, where there are venture capitals, and hedge fund lobbyists lurking in the political undergrowth, the sometime cesspit of uncertainty and ambiguity, commonly associated with the rather innocuous term front-of-mind issues, then there will be a toxic scavenger and hyena mentality.

Governments are either to incompetent or morose to see this coming.

Who are they codding?

This is neither the time, nor the plaice.

Wasn't piracy always the vulture capitalists' objective with Brexit?

The Guardian newspaper reported earlier that two vessels would be deployed at sea with a further two on standby in case EU fishing boats entered the EEZ.

It will be private fisheries protection fleet, that will do the heavy lifting.

And there is unlimited capital from investment, hedge funds that sense huge profits as the European fishing fleet encroach into UK EEZ waters.

Capture, seize and auction.

Crewed with ex forces personal, in effect mercenaries. With all the modern-day technology at their disposal, drones, enhanced navigational detection aids, satellite surveillance.

The petulant posturing of hapless Macon is providing the political ammunition for Marine Le Pen 2022 election strategy.
