Chile military plane with 38 on board crashes near Antarctic

Everyone is dead already if they made a water landing.

45 seconds is all a human will live in those waters without arctic water protective gear. Last time I was in Patagonia on a ship about 2 yrs ago, the crew was clear that life vests were really called body recovery vests to make their jobs easier should anyone fall overboard.

Punta Arenas isn't the end of the world, but you can see it from there. ;) Extreme winds and beautiful clouds on clear days is what I recall most besides the native wildlife.
