So this is Christmas... the Dems and Repugs... arguing and posturing... without any hugs.

While Trump's on his golf course... not doing his job... going more and more crazy... and won't shut his gob.

Meanwhile in the Heartland... people are desperate... they're getting evicted... and the kids are in fits.

There's no chicken on the table... no gifts or no tree... there's just more late bills... a future they can't see.

So on this Covid Christmas... I've one wish to make... DC fix your actions... before it's too late.

Trump wants every needy American to get $2000 USD.

However, as the article states:

Democrats blocked that request.

Remember, this all happened in the House, which is controlled by the Democrats.

Your reading comprehension isn't very good, comrade. The Democrats blocked an amendment to the deal that got rid of foreign aid. They voted for the increasing of the payments.

Trump was playing golf in Florida on Thursday.

Another epithet for Trump's failed but fortunately one term political career:

'Trump played golf while the country sank to its lowest point in modern history.'

And had taxpayers pay for his games while his resorts profited.

4 ( +10 / -6 )

Corrected: Trump wants every needy American to get $2000 USD.

However, as the article states:

Democrats in the House of Representatives sought to increase direct payments to Americans included in the bill from $600 to$2,000 per person as part of a coronavirus economic relief initiative, acting on one of Trump's requests. Trump's fellow Republicans, who oppose the higher amount, blocked that effort.

12 ( +16 / -4 )

Most people in Congress don't care about people's pain. They only care about being reelected. Trump cares not at all about people's pain. In fact, he enjoys causing pain. But even so, 74 million people voted to give him four more years. Just try to find a place for that in a sane world.

There is one reason and one reason only why Trump vetoed this bill: It’s banning of anonymous shell companies. He doesn’t give a rat’s **** about $2,000 checks.

9 ( +14 / -5 )

Burning Bush....

Might want to get some new granny glasses......from the article “Republicans opposed larger direct payments”. You missed that little tidbit for your own narrative.

12 ( +16 / -4 )

I should have know better but I was hoping he wouldn't stoop this low.

Pardoning relatives & war criminals, vetoing the bill many need, saying he had many meeting

and calls during his time in Florida then arriving at the gold course first thing in the morning...

all while thousands die each day.

Has he no conscious at all???

Of course his followers will come up with another excuse as always.

God help America!

9 ( +14 / -5 )

Democrats are trying to accommodate trump’s tantrum while the Republicans oppose it.

That craziness sums up this year!!!!

5 ( +9 / -4 )

I think what set many Americans off was the $500 million in foreign aid to Israel.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Biden, like Obama and Clinton before him, will have to tidy up the mess made of the economy by the outgoing Republican President.

11 ( +15 / -4 )

I think what set many Americans off was the $500 million in foreign aid to Israel.

Why would this set Americans off?

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Both sides are disgusting while millions of their people desperately need money to get by these overpaid fatcats argue before they go off on their Christmas break. No money rampant Covid wow what a merry Christmas for Americans .

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Trump asked for the 2000 way too late. He was completely disengaged. He should have suggested it early on, if he really believed in it.

So perhaps his plan all along was to delay the 600 knowing the 2000 idea would hold things up and in the end his GOP would strike the bill down. It's just his further unhinged chaos.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

The House is controlled by the Democrats, Pelosi is the Speaker of House.

If the Democrats wanted this bill to pass, Pelosi could have made it happen.

It's as if you think the Senate wouldn't make changes after leaving the House.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

If the Democrats wanted this bill to pass, Pelosi could have made it happen.

OK, let's go with that... still... why are the Republicans blocking it?

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Burning Bush.......

I know you already made yourself look somewhat foolish today and you are unlikely/unable to provide a specific answer to the following questions, but just want to ask a Trump - GOP vacillating supporter for simple clarifications to a couple of questions.

Whom do you support now with regards to the $2000 payment? Trump? The GOP? Democrats?

Are you in favor of socialism for the masses, when massive government hand-outs have been usually reserved for the larger corporations, banks or Wall Street?

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Why do republicans have such disdain for directly assisting the people?

Why do Democrats feel the need to give peanuts to AMERICAN people and give $700 Billion to other countries?

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Veto it immediately. Stop destroying America’s future by adding insane amounts of debt. A future uptick in interest rates is inevitable and it will destroy the country’s finances causing huge social disruption. As Biden said - the future will be dark under his regime. With more debt already built into the system the future is dark indeed.

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

trump is trying to get back at the Republicans who didn’t support him in the illegitimate coup.

Now that his lawsuits have been laughed out of courts, trump is trying the scorched earth policy, destroying any legitimacy the GOP ever had.

Normally I wouldn’t have any problems with the destruction of the GOP, but this time poor people are going to suffer.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Remember, this all happened in the House, which is controlled by the Democrats

So Democrats are ok with Americans getting $600? Boy, their voters got hoodwinked

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

Why do Democrats feel the need to give peanuts to AMERICAN people and give $700 Billion to other countries?

Well first of all, they're two separate bills. Second of all, no one is giving $700 billion to other countries. Third, Democrats have already passed legislation to give people $2,000, but Republican Mitch McConnell won't allow it for a vote.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

And the titanic struggle of good vs evil continues - on Christmas Day....

Newly reformed radical socialist Donald Trump and his new allies Nancy, Chuck, AOC, Tlaib against the miserly minions McConnell, McCarthy and Paul....

Will Trump and Nancy prevail? Probably not - Mitch and his crew will refuse to increase the limit - putting them in direct confrontation with their President...

But what will Perdue and Loeffler do? They voted for the $600 bill - will they change their vote and become radical socialists too? Well, one has....

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/531478-loeffler-said-shed-consider-backing-2000-checks

Trump converts another conservative to the radical socialist cause...

So Trump supporters, once again - who's team are you on - Trump/Pelosi or McConnell/McCarthy?

3 ( +7 / -4 )

So Democrats are ok with Americans getting $600? Boy, their voters got hoodwinked

I don't know what you're trying to get at. $600 is the amount Republicans initially agreed to and any more they'd have shot down the legislation, which is evident since they don't want to give everyone $2000.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

So Trump supporters, once again - who's team are you on - Trump/Pelosi or McConnell/McCarthy?

What ever team you’re on, I’m on the other team.

I'm not on a team, I'm an observer....along with other Americans who may be out of money, have no food, or are about to lose their homes...

So, who do you support? The President and Nancy ($2K) or McConnell and McCarthy ($600)?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Why do Democrats feel the need to give peanuts to AMERICAN people and give $700 Billion to other countries?

Why does the government think it's necessary to spend $900+ billion on the military?

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Trump has been AWOL for several months and now suddenly jumps out and says, "Nah, it's not good enough. $2000 per person!" And nothing happens while millions of hungry people are left hanging on at Christmas for dear life. It's like some ugly black comedy you'd see on SNL.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Why do Democrats feel the need to give peanuts to AMERICAN people and give $700 Billion to other countries?

You should read the article before commenting:

The Trump administration had requested the foreign aid in a budget proposal earlier this year,

That's exactly right - this was all in the State Dept budget signed by Pompeo and approved by Trump...

Not happy with it? Send your complaints to those two gents...but you better hurry....

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Republicans fighting Republicans while Americans suffer.

Not fit to lead.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

Trump vows to work tirelessly... to get out those dastardly sand traps! Maybe he can employ one of the people he made homeless and give them a job losing to him to make him look good. Meanwhile, the one good thing he did (though could have done it ages ago!) in trying to increase the amount of personal payments is being blocked by the cowards in the GOP, as usual.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Many Democrats say the $892 billion coronavirus aid package is not big enough to address the pandemic, and they have welcomed Trump's call for larger stimulus checks.

A lot of leftists didn’t bother to read the article, which is why they are incorrectly whining that everything is Trump's fault and he isn't working on this. Many Democrats believe the stimulus should be higher too.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

A lot of Trump supporters didn’t bother to read the article, which is why they are incorrectly whining that Pepsi wanted the foreign aid. The education gap is glaring.

https://www.businessinsider.com/nancy-pelosi-defends-rejection-trump-administrations-stimulus-offer-2020-12

Pelosi has been rejecting larger stimulus checks for months. The thing is you need to stop using one news source for everything you know. She represents the State I come from. She is the same person whining about Covid yet makes a hair salon open for her secretly during lockdown. She doesn't care about American people. You never called her out on it because it is against your principle to call out a Democrat. Nothing will change about her even if you try to give her a cool nickname like "Pepsi".

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Another epithet for Trump's failed but fortunately one term political career:

One term? you really think so?

McConnell, Mnuchin, and McCarthy now get to feel what it's like to be played by Trump...

Trump sends Mnuchin down to Congress to work out a deal - it takes six months but they finally put it together - $600 per individual, $1200 per family...everyone agrees...

Trump tells all the Repubs; McConnell, McCarthy, Mnuchin that he'll sign it....

Then McConnell goes out and recognizes Biden as President-elect and congratulates him...and Trump throws a two-year old tantrum...

So Trump turns on the Repubs and blows up the deal - and to further rub it in, sides with the Dems on increasing the payout to $2K/$4K - and the Dems immediately say - "We agree"....

McConnell and McCarthy now have to suffer the humiliation of getting "Trumped"...

So there we have it - on one team we have Trump/Pelosi/Schumer and on the other team there is McConnell/McCarthy/Paul....

Our Trump supporting friends here seem perplexed - who is right? Well, since they've backed Trump every other time in the past, we'll assume they back him here and 100% agree with $2/4K - just like Nancy, Chuck, and The Squad...

You know, those radical socialist Dems...

It seems Trump doesn’t like pork. Especially when it’s crammed into a relief bill. Can Nancy please explain it to me like a 5 year old: how does relief money solely intended for citizens and businesses suffering economically from COVID related lockdowns and shutdowns; how does more of each dollar of that money go abroad to other people rather than the people it was supposedly all about?

First off, understand this appropriations bill is not "just a Covid relief bill". It is what is called an "Omnibus" Appropriations act to fund the entire Federal government except the DoD (which would be funded by the recently vetoed NDAA). Covid relieve is part of this larger appropriations act so it is natural that it will include things well outside the realm of Covid relief, such as foreign aid. Let me tell you in the case of foreign relations, if you have no money to offer you have no voice. Simple as that. China writes checks for big sums of money to all kinds of nations who then offer China places to base their ships and station aircraft or land forces and then vote with China in the UN or WTO. In foreign relations money buys influence and voice at the bargaining table. The world isn't always such a nice place but it's the world we share with a whole bunch of other nations who don't share our values or maybe even don't like us, but maybe the like the Chinese even less so you do what you can to advance your own interests. Sometimes your interests are best advanced by using soft power in the form of foreign aid.

One term? you really think so?

Tell us a nice little bed time fairy tale about how Mr. Biden's Electoral College victory can be altered or overturned at this point? It's late here and I'm always up for a good bedtime laugh.

Pelosi has been rejecting larger stimulus checks for months.

No, factually wrong. Ms. Pelosi has rejected multiple stimulus offers that were in her and the Democratic caucus opinion, too small. Initially all old Turkey Neck wanted to offer was $600 million, zero aid to cities, counties and states and eliminating corporate liability for anything related to Covid-19. Those were non-startes to the Democrats and Ms. Pelosi. She and the Democrats in the House never rejected larger stimulus checks. That is a bald faced lie. They argued for larger stimulus not just for individuals but also for states, counties and cities who are suffering huge tax revenue shortfalls.

Why do Democrats feel the need to give peanuts to AMERICAN people and give $700 Billion to other countries?

So Democrats are ok with Americans getting $600? Boy, their voters got hoodwinked

and yet the actual facts show its republicans that think $2000 is too much and $600 should suffice.

Trump is actually siding with the democrats, so is team Trump now against Moscow Mitch and associates!?

McConnell, Mnuchin, and McCarthy now get to feel what it's like to be played by Trump...

Ah yes, now he is tweeting that he'll "NEVER FORGET" Senate Republicans in his view abandoning him. He'll no doubt veto the Omnibus Appropriations Act for FY21 with its Covid relief funding very soon just to spite Mitch McConnell and make Congress reconvene this weekend to avert a government shut down. And watch everyone while Kevin McCarthy grovels to the Rooster and tries to convince House Republicans to vote against overriding Mr. Trump's vetos of the NDAA and the Omnibus Appropriations act. The man has no self esteem whatsoever. He is subservient by Donald Trump and Western Pacific Research (find out who they are btw, they made Kevin McCarthy and own him lock, stock and barrel).

It's surprising the Trump supporters here aren't more familiar with Trump's Twitter feed....

*In a video posted to Twitter, T*rump complained Tuesday night that the $600 stimulus checks were too small, arguing that qualifying individuals should get $2,000 and that couples should get $4,000.

Nancy then scheduled a vote on a bill to do just that, but the Repubs killed it...

And one Repub Senator said there was no chance for a $2/4K bill in the Repub Senate...

*The best way out of this is for the president to sign the current bill, and I still hope that's what he decides to do" Roy Blunt of Missouri, chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee, told reporters. *Asked whether a bill to increase direct payment checks from $600 to $2,000 would get the 60 votes needed to pass in the Republican Senate, Blunt said, It would not.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/pelosi-says-house-to-vote-on-bigger-stimulus-payments-after-gop-blocks-increase/ar-BB1cd48q

So there you have it - Trump and the radical socialist Dems on one side, and the conservative Repubs on the other....

What do you think of that Trump supporters?
