Now, Comello’s paranoia is being a litigated in a Staten Island court, where he is charged with the murder of Cali. His lawyer has taken the first steps in a legal battle that hinges on a question made for the internet age: At what point does belief in a far-right conspiracy theory make you legally insane?
FizzBit
What was yesterday’s Trump/fake impeachment headline to feed the emotions of the left. Oh, that’s right “Democrats meet to draft impeachment charges against Trump”Dec. 8 06:15 am
It reminds me of the Carp pond at the theme park when you throw popcorn into the water, all you can see is 50 big mouths just sucking and sucking hoping for anything to go in.
SuperLib
Well, yeah. Even Trump fans know it.
After our diplomats testified there was no question and no opportunity to smear them. In response, Republicans just pretended the testimony never happened.
They don't care that Trump broke his oath. It's just not an important part of America to them. Granted, they probably want a President who puts country first, but if it comes to losing a President, they will look the other way.
Party before country.

It’s a real impeachment.
At what point does belief in a far-right conspiracy theory make you legally insane?
plasticmonkey
= Republicans want more time until Rudy returns from Ukraine with his “bombshell” report on Hunter Biden, the DNC server, and other nutcase conspiracy theories.
The GOP can now be divided into two camps. The truly deranged and the ethically depraved.
Blacklabel
No we don’t. At least half of the USA does not.
Blacklabel
It’s very telling that you don’t even know what you are going to charge, yet already been ordered to proceed to full impeachment.
Strangerland
1/6 of the population voted for Trump.
Some of those have abandoned him since.
Your number is suspicious.
Strangerland
It's very telling that you would think that is an accurate reading of what is actually happening in reality.
SuperLib
Not true at all. Sure, there are some who haven't been following the proceedings and don't know the details and support or don't support Trump, but even you have to admit that Trump put himself before country. And you're part of the 50% that wants to see Trump walk.
Blacklabel
But the fact is we're not going to make any decision as to how broad the articles should be - as to what they contain, what the wording is - until after the hearing tomorrow."
there you go. You don’t even know yet if a Mueller stuff is in or out either. Gonna do a quick poll or focus group I’m sure.
Blacklabel
Your logic is suspicious. Everyone in the entire population who didn’t vote specifically for Trump doesn’t want him removed.
so when you add don’t want him impeached plus don’t know/don’t care it’s more than half. But I know liberals except Yang can’t math.

Democrats cite "overwhelming" evidence that Trump put his personal interests above those of the country in seeking foreign help to win the November 2020 election.
They can say it all they want but these 4 facts refute that:
We’ve got the transcript. There was no linkage of an investigation through security assistance money.
We’ve got the two guys on the call — President Trump and President Zelensky — who have both said there was no pressure, no pushing.
Ukraine didn’t know that the aid was held at the time of the call.
President Zelensky didn’t announce, didn’t start, didn’t promise he was going to start any investigation to get the aid released.
Also the part about Trump put his personal interests above those of the country in seeking foreign help to win the November 2020 election, Trump didn't need Ukraine's help in beating Sleepy Joe. The reason was to investigate corruption so as not to waste taxpayers money. He can't help it if the Bidens are involved in it.
Serrano
Nov jobs report
266,000 jobs added
3.5% unemployment, lowest since the 1960s
Wage growth up 3.1% from last Nov
I guess Trump found that magic wand Obama was talking about.
Let's impeach the MF anyway! lol

So what? If someone's proven to be guilty of a crime it doesn't matter what good things they also do.
SuperLib
Why was Devin Nunes talking to Lev Parnas, the disgraced and indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani, on the phone? Nunes said it was Parnas' wife and he took the call and told her to call his stuff. The call took 8 minutes. I guess he talks slowly.
Nunes is now suing everyone he can. Why? Check out his answers. "I'd love to tell you if I was working to dig up dirt on Biden, but with this lawsuit I can't really answer anything.". He's starting lawsuits as a way to refusing the answer basic questions about his conduct.
He's a weak, confused man.
SuperLib
And hours and hours of testimony from people directly involved. We'll leave all that out and pretend the only information we have is a single phone call.
It should help Trump get off on breaking his oath of office.
Simon Foston
A jury in a proper criminal trial wouldn't be packed with known Trump supporters, like the Senate is.
SuperLib
Remeber when Obama's job numbers were good but the GOP base had been taught to say that the numbers were fake and the real unemployment rate was much higher? Something about not including people who stopped looking for work.
Yeah, that went away when Trump was elected. The numbers suddenly became real again.
Blacklabel
Let’s enjoy liberals trying to play with stats. This is the truth:
But getting down to that point was a long, slow grind. So slow that over all of Obama’s 96 months in office, the median jobless rate was 7.7 percent — the highest for any administration since the end of World War II.
its like losing weight, easy to lose 20 pounds when your weight is a lot. Much harder to lose the same 20 pounds once you aren’t so overweight.
takeda.shingen.1991@gmail.com
Let's enjoy moronic Trumpies trying to play with facts. This is the truth.
Donny is a crook; He always has been and always will be. His employment figures do nothing to change or alter this fact, they are utterly irrelevant. Nor will they save his neck from impeachment.
plasticmonkey
@Serrano
False. It's not a transcript. It's a partial reconstruction of the call.
False. "I would like you to do us a favor though." Plus all the other corroborating evidence. Plus Mick Mulvaney. Plus Rudy.
And others listening. As you said, there's a "transcript".
Of course they're going to say that. Trump is a pathological liar. And Zelensky still needs to kiss the president's #ss to get aid for his country.
False. They knew.
Irrelevant. Zelensky is not being impeached. Trump is. For withholding aid to a foreign country in return for political favors. Trump released the aid as soon as his scheme was made public.
False. There is ample evidence that Trump had no interest in Ukrainian corruption. To this day Trump and his supporters can still not cite a single example of corruption that Trump was concerned about apart from the so-called "corruption" involving the Bidens (of which there is no evidence).
You should be embarrassed having to regurgitate these half-baked defenses of your Lord and Savior. He's a thoroughly crooked piece of work.

OK Donnie - shutdown the witch hunt by allowing Pence, Mulvaney, Pompeo, and Perry to testify - and release all the State Dept documents. Both of those will prove you're innocent - right? Or maybe as proven over the past six days when no Trumper could answer, there is no reason to keep them hidden, other than they'll prove you're guilty.... So you have to keep on obstructing....
And another Trump sees the light! Schiff was right, the evidence is so overwhelming, even the Trumpers are now convinced. Welcome to the team!
They aren't facts, they're fairy tales...
There is no "transcript" - Donnie only released a call summary - there are significant portions missing. But one thing wasn't - "I would like you to do us a favor though"....BINGO!
Donnie lies, Zelinsky knows he's dealing with a mob boss and wants to keep getting Javelins...
WRONG...

Yea, Trump got caught!
Get your talking points straight - your team's witness Volker said the Biden smear was "not credible" - keep beating that dead horse Serrano...even Trump supporters know it was all a lie...
bass4funk
No, the numbers were accurate, the problem was, the Dems didn’t mention most of the jobs were part time, government or people that took themselves out of the workforce for lack of employment.
Precisly.
I’m sorry, Obama lowered the corporate tax rate? He became less hostile in punishing foreign investment?
u_s__reamer
The Muller Report itemized Trump's egregious malfeasance and his impeachable attempts to obstruct justice and the author then testified giving the green light to Congress to investigate further by turning over all the rocks in Trump's swamp. The impeachment would therefore be incomplete without Muller's icing on the cake.

I believe it was Carville that stated "The economy, stupid".
The economy is what the left has to concern itself with. Doesn't matter what they throw at him (and let's face it... impeachment won't successfully give the left what they want) Trump, Pence, and the GOP, will campaign on the state of the economy in 2020 and will absolutely destroy the left if they don't quickly achieve their desired results (and... again... not gonna happen). And since they are putting ALL their eggs in this basket...
At this point, impeachment theater isn't going to suddenly start changing people's mind about who they are going to vote for. Those against Trump are already against him. Those who are for him... are for him. And those who are still on the fence after all this will be swayed by things such as the economy, etc. Barring some actual and true "bombshell" for an October Surprise, this was a damn stupid hill for the (D) to die on going into the 2020 campaign season.
So... yes. it absolutely DOES matter what other things are happening and especially the overall economy and job numbers.
Strangerland
Yes, as well as the debt, and how the Republicans have abandoned all fiscal responsibility. They also need to show how Trump's failure at trade warring is costing real people money and jobs.
But, that doesn't mean they can't and shouldn't deal with his corruption. They can campaign on the real facts of the matter.
But if they don't address the economy, they will never get the responsible republicans who are more concerned with the economy. The fact is that while it's clear Trump is guilty from anyone who actually looks at the facts of the matter, there are a lot of people who don't know the facts, and don't care either, as it's just not relevant to them. Anyone who campaigns purely on Trump is bad, is going to miss these voters altogether.
It's important for Democrats to show how he is racking up the debt at insane levels to provide tax breaks to the rich, none of which trickles down to 99% of the people, whose taxes go to pay for it. It's important to show them that the economy looks good, but only because he's borrowing money to pump into it. Democrats need to open the eyes of the people that the only thing he has that looks any good - the economy - is simply a false facade that they are going to have to pay for eventually. Another crisis like in 2009, where, let's remember, Trump himself said he made a fortune off of.
The man in the highest office of the land, who is borrowing money like made to pump into the economy in a way that any economist will tell you will crash, not only stands to make the most money off a crashed economy, but has already admittedly done that in the past.
This is what Democrats need to campaign on. Time to slow this out of control train before it becomes a train wreck.
bass4funk
Job opportunities do, income redistribution does not. The problem and the reason why Democrats are bad when it comes to economy is that they believe the best way to financial prosperity is to tax the rich and the reason for that is the lack of job opportunities Democrats would and could provide.
If Warren or Sanders were ever to become President, their economic polices would completely wreck the country and add more than a whopping $32 trillion debt to the economy, there’s no way the country could survive that and the reason why every economist hates these people.
Democrats and especially this bunch of funnies will never be able to convince anyone because they haven’t brought out any viable proposals as to why they could make a better economy, they can’t, go to LA, Oakland, SF, Portland, Seattle, NYC, Chicago, the Democrats can’t even properly run these cities well or even deal with the homeless population effectively and efficiently. You go to city district like Orange County and it’s like night and day as to how the conservatives run that district. Clean, affluent, prosperous compared the liberals cities where Democrats and their policies have destroyed these once great and vibrant cities. If Democrats really want to make inroads with the people and they think they can do a better job than Republicans, then they should clean up the cities that I have mentioned and if they can do that and they can create prosperity financial independence and growth then they do have a chance. Silicon valley doesn’t represent the entire West Coast.
He has. And this is the reason why you should learn how to invest.
Numan
Cue the media blitz from Trump and the WH cronies to distract from the impeachment process. They will bring out all this unreliable reports from witnesses who currently being indicted or been convicted of the similar crimes.
Apparently, the gaslighting hasn't been working for the WH like last time.
Jimizo
Unlike Republicans who crash the economy and run up massive debt like Bush 2. Trump is piling on the debt while the economy is good.
Fiscal irresponsibility. Robbing Peter ( the younger generation ) to keep Paul happy.
bass4funk
But the majority do. We have a business and we pay a lot, a lot!
he just said it “billionaires.” They have way more than enough money that they can contribute and even if they do that it still wouldn’t be enough to take on the national debt.
It just amazes me that when the Democrats in power, none of them ever comment on the national debt, but when there is a Republican in office they scream about the national debt, while their entitlement programs skyrocket and push up the national debt even higher and this is why Warren and Sanders will never become president.
it’s kind of difficult for him to do that when the Democrats that reside where the homeless dwell don’t want him anywhere near there, so let them take care of it. They’ve done such a great job in Chicago and in Oakland and Detroit and San Francisco.
But no where near like California
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/this-state-is-home-to-nearly-half-of-all-people-living-on-the-streets-in-the-us-2019-09-18
And pretty much all the blue states have the highest concentration of homeless
https://www.businessinsider.com/photos-homelessness-states-worst-crises-2018-11
Apr 25, 2019 - Overall, January's Orange County Point in Time count documented 6,860 homeless people.
....and now that the Democrats control orange county it won’t get better it will just only get worse. so what are the Democrats going to do going forward and what will the policies be? At this point they’re not impressing any of the independence that’s for sure.
Serrano
So what? If someone's proven to be guilty of a crime it doesn't matter what good things they also do.
Point taken. But so far the Democrats haven't come up with any actual evidence of a crime.
False. It's not a transcript. It's a partial reconstruction of the call.
Have the Democrats come up with any "missing" parts of the call that proves that Trump committed a crime?
No.
Donny is a crook
You got any proof of this? I'll be waiting.
Tick, tock, Trump in the dock...
Yep, Drumpf is really done this time! He has to be, he's been done so many times, this one just has to be it!
Trump is piling on the debt while the economy is good.
The military had to be rebuilt as Obama ignored a lot of stuff that should have been taken care of.
In raw terms, Trump added the second-most debt of any recent president. According to the Treasury data, the U.S. added $2.07 trillion — $2,065,536,336,472.90 to be exact — in new debt between Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2017, and February 11, when the country pushed past $22 trillion.
That is less than the $3.46 trillion added between Obama's inauguration in January 2009 and February 11, 2011, but it is more than the $676 billion added under Bush and the $617 billion added under Clinton in their first 752 days as president.
In total Obama added about $9 trillion to the debt. We'll see what happens with Trump. If the economy remains strong, it is possible the debt might actually decrease, with the main tax cuts already in place and the government now collecting more revenue as more and more people get jobs and pay taxes.
Slickdrifter
After scouring the news outlets far and wide I predict this equation.
D vs. R + Impeachment articles = baseless - the whistle blower = DOA in Senate. Totaling full admonishment.
Adam Schiff is doing a lot of damage to the country,' 'And he needs to stop.
Senator Lindsey Graham.
When this all over I am really going to relish in the fact that for three years the Democrats could not do (poo emoji).
GOP will stand United and lead the way!
There will be a reckoning.
Chip Star
Can any of you Trumpophiles point to any actual evidence that Ukraine meddled in the 2016 elections?
That conspiracy theory is your new talking point to defend Donny soliciting Ukraine’s assistance for his re-election campaign. I’m just curious if any of you have any evidence at all.
bass4funk
Not you, but the Democrats do.
No, it’s relevant, so besides talking and besides wanting more income redistribution, robbing Paul to give to Peter, what solutions do any of the candidates have that will give them the confidence to vote for one of these individuals? Saying I’m better than Trump doesn’t cut it. And remember, the Dems are already starting from minus with this impeachment hoax, so how would Dems grow the economy, put money in people’s pockets, fix our crumbling infrastructure or how about tax cuts for small businesses, privatize the healthcare system, how to shrink the government and not increase it?
