Florida orders vote recount in Senate, governor races

Hopefully TRUTH will be found, regardless which side wins.

There's been no evidence of any wrongdoing in Florida. Any claims made by Scott or Trump or the right-wing media are being made with no evidence whatsoever.

Scott called for an investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), but he only said it. He needs to put it in writing to start an official investigation, which he knows, and he needs to provide a compelling reason (ie evidence of fraud), which he does not have.

That's to say the power to start an official investigation rests entirely in his hands, and he has chosen against an investigation. His choice. No one else's. If you are going to make up a conspiracy theory, be sure to account for that.

Both Scott and Trump are making irresponsible and unsupported statements to manufacture outrage with their base. The sad thing is that recounts rarely change the outcome so it will be just another empty exercise in empty outrage. If the Dems do grab one of the seats, that manufactured outrage will come in handy to manipulate conservative public opinion into supporting a wider range of more radical responses.

In Arizona, Sinema is looking good. Each day her lead grows and the balance of the ballots are from blue areas. But, with this election, take nothing for granted. It's not over 'till it's over.

And with this ongoing scandal of the GOP having paid two million illegals to vote for the GOP AND arranging it so that they could vote, the right has no place whatsoever to be making any criticisms until they address that.

Rick Scott has contended there is rampant voter fraud within the state.

Last time i checked, you are still GOVERNOR Scott and this is your problem in your state.

It is so funny how two Republicans in charge of Georgia and Florida both states with a history for suppressing minority votes, both running for higher power, both States showed rampant examples of voter suppression this election against minorities. They ignored and denied those claims because they were in charge of handling the election while running for office. Now those same two people in charge want to claim voter fraud because the law says that all legal votes should be counted to decide the winner.

It's more like the old south prejudices and voter oppression tactics on minorities and anyone else who doesn't fit the old rank and file "white Christian conservative" mentality. That is why there is a re-count going on.

For 15 years, Snipes has served as Broward County’s elections chief, with mixed results. Long lines and vote counts that continued long after polls closed marred elections in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2012, 2016 and, of course, this year.

With the history of Broward County being over saturated with liberals from the corrupt Sheriff from the Parkland Highschool shootings from the 2000 election to 2016 elections the main county that has the most problems with contesting recounts is the notorious Broward County.

- A court ruled she had broken election law when she destroyed ballots from the 2016 election 12 months after it, instead of the 22 months required by federal law.

-- In 2012, almost 1,000 uncounted ballots were discovered a week after the election

And now, after days passed in which Snipes could not or would not say how many ballots remained to be counted, and failed to give regular updates to the state every 45 minutes as required by law, she was hit with a lawsuit by Scott’s Senate campaign and the National Republican Senate Committee demanding she inform the public how many votes remained to be counted.

In Florida law, recount is mandatory if the difference is 0.5 point or less

Count the votes. Do not count the illegally caste votes the Democrat party announced that they want included. Let the chips fall where they may.

Oh, and get a Broward county election director who can follow the law as specified by being transparent and by adhering to deadlines. The current top dog there already has one court order that has gone against her because of her incompetence. How can citizens have faith in the results when a partisan public employee is obscuring her agencies failings?

Except the county with the problem counting their votes is not run by white Christian conservatives. I guess it’s fine to believe otherwise if it makes you feel better about your false belief that minorities are being oppressed by old Democrat/KKK alliance. But southern states are no longer run by people like George Wallace, William Fulbright, and Sam Ervin ( you know, Democrats).
