Brave people. I hope they find better lives.

@burninbsh Get the images on Fox news and keep airing them. Especially in contested districts.

Fox 'news', infowars, RT, Sputnik and other rightist media, with further assistance from employees of the Internet Research Agency, continue to support Trump and his GOP enablers' efforts to keep 35% or so of the US population living in fear of the 'them'. 'Them', i.e the enemy, include those with different political views, simplified to the 'left', 'libs', 'dems' and a few others, plus those not included in Trump's demographic group.

Too bad so few Americans are aware of the US's history in nations south of the US border. If they cared, United Fruit would be a start: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Fruit_Company

Six police had been injured, Castilla said.

These aren't asylum seekers. They are a mob.

Good on Mexico.

Hold the line, I hope Mexico can take care and house and integrate these people. We just can’t and shouldn’t allow everyone to just blindly come in because they think they can or have a right, they don’t. This has got to stop.

@PT

That doesn’t mean that we as a sovereign nation must or obligated to let these people in, under no circumstances does it say that anywhere in the constitution and we are not obliged to do so, we are a sovereign nation we have every right to protect our borders and not allow anyone in for any reason.

Let's just stop all the far-right lies and distraction - no one is saying these people should be allowed to enter the US if they don't qualify as a lawful immigrant. But they should be treated with respect and dignity - and if they are denied, deny them respectfully.

Stop the demonization and fear-mongering - it's shameful.

Let's focus on the US citizens here in the US who are being denied their constitutionally guaranteed right to vote by far-right politicians. This is a travesty and an affront to our democracy.

Me too, I hope they can improve their lives in Guatemala.

The USA is not a free meal ticket or a free country that you can come to and we give you food, healthcare and a job. Are these people delusional or misinformed? I worked hard all my life for my family and my self and am a decent person but i am not going to give away all i worked for and live in a 3rd world USA so these undocumented people can invade and take away all my assets. Stay in your country and make it better and not ask me to give you a handout.

According to the story, this event is taking place at Mexico's southern border.

Hundreds of members of a caravan of migrants who had crossed Guatemala tried to breach the Mexican border on Friday, as the Mexican government vowed to tackle the convoy

This mob has been stopped at the border between MEXICO and GUATEMALA.

Several migrants at the Guatemala-Mexico border spoke of entire neighborhoods leaving their homes to join the trek after news circulated on social media of a call for a new "caravan" to Mexico six months after the previous one.

It would be interesting to know who circulated this call to illegally enter MEXICO.
