Oh, sure, sure. Because these are short-range missiles. We never discussed that. We discussed nuclear. What we talked about is nuclear. Those are short-range missiles. sure, and a lot of other countries test that kind of missile also."

What an idiot! I am just sick and tired of hearing this demented child talk! Listening to a song by AKB48 sounds more intelligent than listening to Trump!

@Burning Bush

What's the difference between a projectile, missile and rocket?

A projectile is an unidentified flying object. Not sure of its exact type.

A missile is a guided weapon.

A rocket is an unguided weapon.

Hope this helps.

Projectile, because they dont know just what the hell NK sent up!

A missile, would be considered a "military" weapon.

A rocket, would be for space flight, but often interchangeable with missile when it comes to NK, because, again they often do not know wtf they are trying to launch!

However, he added: "You have to ask when the real diplomacy is going to begin, when the working-level discussions on denuclearization will begin."

Uh, John, are you saying you haven't even reached this point yet? Useless.

some analysts believe Pyongyang will be emboldened to press more aggressively for U.S. concessions given the American leader's apparent eagerness to hold up his North Korea policy as a success in his 2020 re-election bid.

Seems to be working for Un so far.

And meanwhile South Korea and Japan squabble like spoilt children, arguing about whose grandad is better in the school play ground.

I truly fear if this current nonsense doesn't end soon this is the beginning of the end of democracy, peace and stability in the region.

Moon's most favorite nation lol.

And the ignoramuses still spout off that Japan is the aggressor in that region.

Yes, we know. We must make war because orange man bad.

Meanwhile, in the real world, outside the trump derangement bubble, NK has abandoned their fire and brimstone threats (aimed and extorting concessions from the traditional politicians), and orange man is working on putting an arrangement together that will allow a system change supported by all parties, which is course is a massively complicated problem which does not easily fit into the simplistic "orange man bad" template. But hey, it so much easier to just parrot CNN slogans, isnt it.

Press release from the Trump fantasy land of Oranglandia. Kim continues to make Donnie look like the Dimwit he is. What's he going to do now, fly to Pyongyang and attend a public execution with him, then have a big hug afterward?

Kim makes Donnie look like the real "Master Negotiator" - the one that has had 6 bankruptcies and lost over $1 Billion...

Just say "Loser"....

Where's that great deal we've been promised?

Traitor.

WilliB: is working on putting an arrangement together that will allow a system change supported by all parties, which is course is a massively complicated problem

And for this massively complicated problem you’ve chosen a man who squeals with delight when he can use the name “Rocket Man” for Un.

So at least you have that going for you.

Is any nation seeking US approval to develop their self defence capability? Who approves the continual military development of the US. Where did the US get approval to develop a Space Corps and militarise space? Did Israel get US approval to develop nuclear weapons?

Is any nation seeking US approval to develop their self defence capability?

They have more than enough weapons, ballistic missiles, they don’t need to proliferate and enrich Uranium and threaten they will attack, wipe out and destroy SK, Japan or the US, that is unacceptable and as long as they take that position the pressure, the sanctions will persist. Kim wants nothing more than to have the sanctions he has around his neck, off and that just won’t happen and firing and threatening or taking a provocative and bold move like this won’t change their plight or demands.

Who approves the continual military development of the US. Where did the US get approval to develop a Space Corps and militarise space? Did Israel get US approval to develop nuclear weapons?

You have 7 countries surrounding Israel that tried in the past to destroy it a few times, No one is trying to destroy or invade NK.

Estimate the cost of developing and firing each missile, and subtract those costs from humanitarian donations.

A long long time ago in Roman history so to the Romans listened to the politician vs the military mindset and common sense, and instead stopped conducting exercises in the name of hope for an adversary who didn't want anything to do with peace in the first place. The result today is very similar but with more at stake. The NK's under Kim keep pressing lady luck and one will eventually get away, question is then what? Thank you Japan Today for story.

One forgets that N and S Korea has already "united" in principle and in action. They have not formally announced it.

Have you thought about it from all the perspectives?

SK needs NK to act in such a way to justify their position to China, Russis, Japan and the US.

NK just plays the roles for China, Russis and SK, that provide their economic assistance, even if circumventing the sanctions. In that sense it may be a very good deception to all parties.

Appear to be crazy but ALL actions so far has been"sane" and calculated.

Trump supports it 100%, and in a short while SK is going to stop sharing info with Japan on such things... so pretty crappy to be Japan on this issue.
