Congress, you all are not off the hook. The questionable actions and words of this president still deserve your scrutiny and oversight. We expect you to put country above party. We, the American people, are watching you.

No politician in history, and I say this with great surety, has been treated worse or more unfairly,

Says he who spent five years saying Obama wasn't born in America. Says he who led crowds in chanting "lock her up!" in his campaign against "crooked Hillary".

Boo hoo hoo. Trotsky getting an ice axe to his head while in exile was nothing compared to the tribulations of Donald Trump.

There is some truth that Trump is the most watched and scrutinized President by American media & Congress. America in a big way is one big Hollywood talk-show. Trump news indeed sell, and sell very well.

"The S&P 500 and the Dow had their biggest one-day declines since September as investor hopes for tax cuts and other pro-business policies faded amid the political controversy."

Short-term silver lining. This is the only reason why many republicans and rank and file conservatives have held their nose and supported him--i.e. that they were going to get paid. If they're not, as a result of his colossal stupidity, you can bet they'll be onboard with installing a more competent friend to corporate interests.

Trump has only himself to blame, not merely for being such a moron, but for regularly insulting the only folks standing between him and a Nixon helicopter ride.

And that's what Trump wanted, so no one should feel any sympathy. He got into this game because he wanted attention, pure and simple. And it never even occurred to him that the attention might be negative. He spent so much of his life being given handouts from other people and then dodging responsibility for his repeated failed business ventures, surrounded by yes-men who tell him every idiotic word that comes out of his mouth is pure gold that it never even occurred to him that he might not be ready for the most difficult job in the world.

Now he's belly-flopping with the world's eyes upon him and the world's orangest snowflake doesn't know how to handle it.

"Look at the way I have been treated lately, especially by the media. No politician in history, and I say this with great surety, has been treated worse or more unfairly,"

Boo Hooo. I feel so sorry for his whiny self-inflicted wounds.

How about the four presidents who were assassinated, one who was gut shot and died four days later. One president (Reagan) was shot by a lunatic. One president had the army shooting at his house.

Or, Trump's birther claims against President Obama. That was what . . . fair? Spreading lies is somehow OK? Poor Trump.

And that's what Trump wanted, so no one should feel any sympathy.

Agreed, he wanted to be president to satisfy his ego and need for attention. As someone who has skirted the law his whole life, being president was never a good choice for him.

I originally thought he would last 3 to 6 months as president. He is still on track for that prediction. I thought he would voluntarily quit because he missed his old life and being president was too hard. I would put that at one year now based on the blinders worn by the GoP. Apparently, they need to see more crimes before they act.

At least we now have Mueller as a special prosecutor. He is a good and appropriate choice, obviously not made with Sessions' or Trump's input. I can at least trust Mueller to be apolitical and come to a reasonable conclusion, whether that is good or bad for Trump. The only problem. . . the investigation will go on for probably two years unless there is an obvious bombshell. . . . the Comey memos and/or Trump tapes.

In that case, we probably have only a few months before impeachment begins. Only thing I can say is, good riddance. He will not be missed, except by the comedians.

where he complained he was being treated more unfairly than any other politician ever.

Welcome to the world were everyone around you isn't a YES man. It's how the rest of us live.

Given his ability to lie through his teeth in a grossly obviously way, yet still enjoy broad support from his base, that tells me that Trump actually has one of the easiest Presidencies in US history. This little billionaire President snowflake really needs to grow a pair.

I'm sure President Nelson Mandela might have had something to say about that, if he was still around. Or closer to the US; Lincoln. Or Kennedy.

Dunno about that one, that's really stretching it just a tad....

No, he saw the country going down the drain, that's why.

And it never even occurred to him that the attention might be negative. He spent so much of his life being given handouts from other people and then dodging responsibility for his repeated failed business ventures,

Not so sure, he still has billions, more than you and I. I mean, how many people have their own 737 jet and helicopter? Kudos!

True, but the people got tired of the Washington establishment and didn't want a polished perfect insider. Thank God!!

Now he's belly-flopping with the world's eyes upon him and the world's orangest snowflake doesn't know how to handle it.

Prove it? Where is the memo, if Comey had something, he would have already presented it, if he were sitting on that kind of hot potato.

God, the enjoyment multiplies exponentially! When has life EVER been this bloody great?! Hollywood loves to crank out sequels, so here is WATERGATE 2: 2017! The crimes! The coverups! The tapes! The media burrows while the culprit squirms! OK, you Trump defenders -- you made it this far, only to find you are only at base camp! You look upwards and see -- 2 Mount Everests, one on top of the other! It is inevitable you will give up, so how much longer are you gonna hold out?!

Better hope President Pence pardons him.

Otherwise, he will not be flying anywhere in jail.
