I call Kevin McCarthy to the witness stand. Mr. McCarthy, congratulations, you’re under oath.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

So tired of McCarthy and the rest of the Trump ***** pretending that nothing happened that day. They have no decency and they don't deserve to hold public office.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

And then what? They want to keep this in the news for the next 4 years? After the GOP wins the House again, they can initiate their own investigations…2022 is just around the corner.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Trump is the Bif Lie and more than 20,000 others. The insurrection leaders threw them under the bus by him.

Yeah, we keep hearing that day in and day our like being in a hypnotic trance. The Dems can continue to put as much effort and focus into this, this definitely helps the GOP in getting all their ducks in order and focus to keeping their eyes on the House. Keep the eye on the prize and let the Dems do what they do, focus on issues less relevant to the nation.

John Katko is about to find himself the target of the cancel culture rage.

Don't believe me? Ask Liz Cheney about how it works.

The party currently in the midst of a civil war is also lining up all their ducks and focusing.

Yeah, right.

You guys should definitely cancel John Katko. It will gain you more voters. No, really, it will!

Well, Dems want to dismiss the carnage they caused over the 3 month summer riots, so, Republicans are calling foul in that and the Dems can’t complain about the GOP dismissing this Kabuki theater as long as the Dems ignore the violence and destruction of last summer. The difference is, the House being to the Dems at the moment and they keep pushing this and that will change once the GOP retake the House. Dems need to worry about their own civil war with Joe Manchin, because he’s the final door the Dems need to open in order to get everything they want and that’s not happening, but until then if the Dems want to continue to make this a top priority STILL go right ahead.

The entire world watched Trump fans brutally assault cops, destroy our sacred buildings, and stopped the peaceful transition of power in the United States as voted on by the people.

The memory of January 6 will never go away. It will be on the front page of newspapers every year as it should be.

The entire world watched Trump fans

A few, I’m a fan, none of my family and friends were there. Stop making it as if the Capitol was attacked by 78 million people. You had a few idiots on that day, yes and they were brought to justice as they should and now the left want to do what now? Keep the story alive to give Biden some cover with all the mess that’s unfolding? Yes, good deflection tactic, but it’s losing its luster. The biggest fish have already been caught.

brutally assault cops,

I thought liberals and Dems hated cops, want to defund them, why would any liberal care what happens to a cop, they’re the enemy and represent the White supremacist national movement.

destroy our sacred buildings,

But kept silent on 3 months of buildings and statues being pulled down, sacred statues.

and stopped the peaceful transition of power in the United States as voted on by the people.

Interesting when Trump became President and people were rioting, the left excused it as freedom of expression, now while we all agree what happened on Jan 6 and last year summer riots were atrocious deplorable and disgusting, it’s funny how the liberal mind has a short memory. When liberals express outrage in any form whatsoever it’s their first amendment right, when conservatives do it, they’re insurrectionists. Lol

The memory of January 6 will never go away.

Neither will the damage and destruction that was inflicted on business owners and innocent Americans that got caught up in Antifa and BLM anger and when the GOP retake the House, they’ll remind the msm and the Democrats of that everyday so that they won’t forget either.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Yes, because Dems have the mic and when the House is back in the GOP hands, they’ll remind of the nation of the 3 long summer months of violence and destruction the Dems purposely looked the other way and then they’ll start their own investigations, so wait until that coin is flipped.

Zichi: Jan 6th is burnt into the annals of history along with a short mention of Trump's single term and his insurrection.

Well said. When anyone is giving a retelling of Trump as President, January 6 and The Big Lie will always be a part of it.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

What buildings were destroyed? The transition of power was stopped?

Jan 6 has already just become a bunch of liberal media hyperbole that will fade from memory by next election.

destroy our sacred buildings, and stopped the peaceful transition of power

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

You can remove Liz Cheney, but you can't remove January 6 from the history books. The pictures of our elected officials laying on the floor protected by law enforcement with guns drawn at the door with Trump supporters on the other side will be with us forever.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

What buildings were destroyed? The transition of power was stopped?

Because robbery is only a crime if you get away with the money. This is an absurd take, Black. Trump supporters tried (and failed) to overturn the election, but that doesn't mean it isn't serious.

Honest question: what would you have said if they had succeeded? Would you have supported it?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Buildings were “destroyed”? Weee they? Which ones?

you left out that part.

I saw actual buildings destroyed by Antifa and BLM. You said it was just “peaceful protest”. Policemen were viciously attacked. You said “mostly peaceful” protest.

why the changes in wording now?

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

His handpicked candidate just won the election. Anti trump candidate: 9th place.

Fact: 1 of the reasons Chaney spoke out was because she found out that the RNC hid the fact that Trump is 15 points under water in core districts.

The active duty Marine arrested yesterday.

what he did:

pushed through a line of police officers guarding the East Rotunda doors on January 6, violently entering the Capitol.

He then allegedly then positioned himself in the corner of the doorway and used his body to keep the door open and pull others inside. Prosecutors say Warnagiris resisted when a US Capitol Police officer tried to pull the doors shut.

charged with: “assaulting, resisting or impeding officers; obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder; and obstruction of justice; among other charges.”

for pushing his way inside and holding a door open.

Nice to see our resident right-wingers continue to downplay a full-fledged insurrection and attempted coup, proving once again that they do not care one bit about the democratic process and would happily live under a dictatorship. The only question is, if you guys hate fair elections, the left wing and immigration so much, why not move to Russia?? You'd feel so at home there.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

No, not at all, but Liberals can put Liz on a pedestal if they want for now, none of this is going away, the left can’t silence anyone on the right forever and here is the interesting kicker. Wasn’t her dad a war criminal and Liz and beneficiary of being her dad’s daughter, but now like Romney was (don’t hear liberals mentioning his name and give it another month or so and Liz will be out of the mouths of the left) Liz will follow into the dustbin of political irrelevancy.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

but Liberals can put Liz on a pedestal

Nobody likes Liz Cheney. What are you talking about?

the left can’t silence anyone on the right

The left doesn't need to silence anyone on the right, since the right is already silencing itself.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Buildings were “destroyed”? Weee they? Which ones?

Point out to me where I said buildings were destroyed. You're responding to what you want me to say, and not what I actually wrote.

I saw actual buildings destroyed by Antifa and BLM. You said it was just “peaceful protest”. Policemen were viciously attacked. You said “mostly peaceful” protest.

It says a lot about the right that they're more worried about building damage than what the insurrectionists tried to destroy on January 6th.

Again, I'll ask:

what would you have said if they had succeeded? Would you have supported it?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Nobody likes Liz Cheney. What are you talking about?

And yet, the left continue to use her as a prop. No one cares, but it’s just funny how now she’s become the virtue of freedom and democracy when before she was just a neocon for the left.

The left doesn't need to silence anyone on the right, since the right is already silencing itself

Well, they have and continue to all over social media and if they didn’t they wouldn’t continue to spar with the social media fools, so but that will change as well once they’re broken up. The 1st amendment doesn’t just apply to liberals.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

A guy took a picture sitting at Pelosi’s desk!

5 years in prison! ummm...what?

Oh yeah, breaking and entering a governmental building is not a big deal at all :D

You should try that in the Kremlin you love so much, see what happens.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

A guy took a picture sitting at Pelosi’s desk!

5 years in prison! ummm...what?

Taking a picture at Nancy Pelosi's desk isn't a crime, but theft of government property and trespass on government/restricted property is a crime. Nice try.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

it’s just funny how now she’s become the virtue of freedom and democracy when before she was just a neocon for the left.

Except she didn't. What makes you think she did? Nobody liked her before, nobody likes her now. She just became little bit less hateable because she hasn't completely lost her mind like most of her colleagues. So what's your point?

Well, they have and continue to all over social media and if they didn’t they wouldn’t continue to spar with the social media fools, so but that will change as well once they’re broken up.

Nobody knows what you're talking about.

statues being pulled down, sacred statues.

"Sacred?" I thought they were all of people like Confederate generals.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Prosecutors declined to pursue many of the cases because they concluded the protesters were exercising their basic civil rights.

lol and? Do you think you have the right to protest inside a restricted area? Hilarious.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Can such an investigation be truly fair when Republican representatives are suspected of giving tours of the Capitol building days before to the Trumplicans, traitors and anarchists?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

bass: No one cares

Of course people care. We aren't concerned about Trump winning the White House, but we are concerned that an idolized demagogue will spread lies, then GOP politicians will be forced to create bad policy or refuse good policy based on those lies. That hurts everyone.

Right now we live in a society where courts slapped down every Trump lie, but a majority of Trump supporters still believe the lie. How can this work out to be a good thing for America in the end?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

bass4funkToday  08:34 am JST

this definitely helps the GOP in getting all their ducks in order and focus to keeping their eyes on the House.

Definitely not getting a "conservative independent who hates both parties equally" vibe here so much as "paid RNC shill."

2 ( +3 / -1 )

"Sacred?" I thought they were all of people like Confederate generals.

And?

Of course people care. We aren't concerned about Trump winning the White House,

You can make the same argument about the other side that see what this President is doing and not liking it and it’s scaring millions of us. But Biden had a chance, but he’s squandering it with each passing day and once the GOP retake the House, and with an even Senate majority he’s pretty much dead in the water.

How can this work out to be a good thing for America in the end?

Well, definitely not in the direction that this president is trying to take the nation.
