Many have pointed out that the events at the US Capitol highlight the dangers of right wing extremist insurrection.

Other governments around the world seem to taking that advice and arresting insurrectionists before they have a chance to disrupt society.

As far as I know neither Navalny nor his supporters have attempted to storm the Kremlin by force or made physical threats against Putin or his regime (you can imagine what would happen if they did) so it's only an authoritarian who would regard Navalny and his supporters' non-violent expression of an opposing view as being synonymous with insurrection.

Wonder if any of these arrested will bizarrely jump out of a window while in custody again...
