Another hate crime against Christians, this time in White Settlement.

Good thing they were armed and fought back.

Lives were saved.

White Settlement

Holy moly! The town is called White Settlement? wow!

13 ( +20 / -7 )

Guns allowed in Texas churches, but not on any Trump properties (hotels/resorts/golf courses).

Go figure.

And its in a town called 'White Settlement', you can't make this stuff up.

10 ( +18 / -8 )

In Texas Christianity = the Trinity + guns.

12 ( +15 / -3 )

And its in a town called 'White Settlement', you can't make this stuff up.

Yes you can, you’re “making stuff up” right now, as in “look everybody at the waycists!”.

See the history below. Then I’d recommend reading some human history going back say 10,000 years, then you’ll understand that humans have always been creating white, brown, black, etc settlements for a looooong time.

The name of "White Settlement" was originally bestowed upon the community by several Indigenous tribes in the area. The city got its name because it was the lone village of white pioneers amid several Native American encampments in the Fort Worth area in the Texas Republic territory in the 1840s.

11 ( +18 / -7 )

Good people with guns. When similar church shooting happened last time, 26 people died.

of course liberals will just focus on the name of the town to distract.

That goes for any President.

Thank God they were armed.

Yes you can, you’re “making stuff up” right now, as in “look everybody at the waycists!”.

What?

The name of "White Settlement" was originally bestowed upon the community by several Indigenous tribes in the area. The city got its name because it was the lone village of white pioneers amid several Native American encampments in the Fort Worth area in the Texas Republic territory in the 1840s.

but also.......

The area was called "white" because it was a settlement of "white" homesteaders, as opposed to other settlements in the vicinity that were composed of both white and Native American residents. As the Native Americans were forced from the area and the settlement moved westward.

Looks like the founders of that town forced the local people away, so it can be an all white town.

1 ( +8 / -7 )

Thank God they were armed.

This sentiment, folks, is all you need to read as to why the US is a failed state.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

Guns in churches, that shows a lot of faith. Yeehaa!

13 ( +17 / -4 )

The world wide evil continues against Christians. A great shot from a church member quickly ends this horrible tragedy. Innocent people were shot and comments focus on the name this small town. As usual some seek hate. Read the official history via White Settlement Historical Museum. What excuse will the moderator use to delete this post?

That’s not what the world thinks or any world economy or any world investor and that includes China. If the US were filled states then the rest of the world collapse.

Good people with guns. When similar church shooting happened last time, 26 people died.

True, and probably would have been a lot worse, had that shooter not also been confronted by an armed bystander.

Still, better that these things never happened in the first place, right? More guns is not the solution to this problem.

just imagine if he hadn’t had his weapon what could’ve happened.

-3 ( +7 / -10 )

To this specific problem on this date and at this moment in time it certainly was the solution.

but because i am not a liberal I won’t take what you said out of context in a lame “gotcha” game. Yes, more guns is not the overall solution, you are correct.

More guns is not the solution to this problem.

The fact that the church goer felt the need to be armed to be safe in a house of God is quite chilling in itself. In God we don't trust.

From the same website:

During the years of 1854 through 1856 large caravans of settlers arrived in the area. Two of them included Paul Isbell and George Grant from Kentucky. Isbell built a plantation on the site of Carswell AFB, and did a large amount of farming, as well as being a slave trader. He gave land for the first White Settlement school and Isbell Road is named in his honor.

Now let’s look at it from an angle of multiple shooters and when you have a gun...

Liberals sure love attacking the victims of tragedy when Christians are the target and lives are saved by guns.

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

Now let’s look at it from an angle of multiple shooters and when you have a gun...

Still no logical point has been made by your post! We can play what if all day....nice attempt with muslim terrorist references. Try again!

The reality, though, at least in the United States, is that mass killings rarely involve multiple shooters.

In mass killings, more than one shooter is extremely rare

What I really don’t like is when liberals start preaching to conservatives about bible scriptures, give me a break!

That was introduced by Burning Bush but anywhere you seem to assume all white Christians are republicans. Just another of your racist comments denying other races are also Christians. The Ten Commandants are the most import and override everything else.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Still no logical point has been made by your post!

I beg to differ on that.

We can play what if all day....nice attempt with muslim terrorist references. Try again!

No, the point is you can make positive and negative arguments about guns, look at the attack that happened at the Jewish deli a few weeks ago. I do believe it was the right call and these people did the right thing, they save lives and good on them. This is not about Muslims, this is about the right to defend yourself.

Holy moly! The town is called White Settlement? wow!

There are a lot of towns with unusual names. Boogertown, NC; Knockemstiff, OH; Fartsville and Poopsdale, MO...

Perhaps the founder of the town was named White, like.... Barry White?

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Liberals sure love attacking the victims of tragedy when Christians are the target and lives are saved by guns.

Nope, more fake news to distract from faulty logic. Try again! The only people who attack the victims are those against stricter gun regulation because that is the issue that comes up after another mass shooting.

And no one blamed the victims of this massacre except for other white supremacists and racists.

Except when attending a NRA conference.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

God said

LIVES MATTER NOT GUNS

10 ( +13 / -3 )

So when a gun saves lives as in this case, that’s a wonderful thing.

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

That’s what alway come up from liberals, yes. Cause that’s always your narrative.

but that’s not applicable here as armed congregation members saved dozens of lives.

are those against stricter gun regulation because that is the issue that comes up after another mass shooting.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Nope, more fake news to distract from faulty logic. Try again!

The only people who attack the victims are those against stricter gun regulation because that is the issue that comes up after another mass shooting.

Not true, the people that scream the loudest it won’t go to control will never get it past because the majority of people don’t want strict gun control, we have enough already on the books, they just need to be enforced and no Democrat would even try to attempt to take the guns away or amend the second amendment, democrats know that they have a huge constituents that again owners, Harry Reid is one of them. Now if the Democrats want to commit political suicide they should go and try, but they won’t and they know it. But for political reasons they have to mumble and scream and demand that change needs to be done, but it won't.

And no one blamed the victims of this massacre except for other white supremacists and racists.

seems like the liberal media is trying to do its job and pushing the race issue again, they never fail.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

The parishioner who stopped the shooting:

According to the witness, another church member — identified as a former FBI agent and part of the church’s security — shot the suspect.

So not a bystander who just happened to be armed. Doesn’t matter I guess. Good job, that person.

So, who is attacking the victims, again? (Strawman argument) That is your claim. You still have not proven that part of your argument.

Once again, you and Bass are trying to distract from your faulty logic! Stricter regulations would reduce the number of mass shootings in the US like Japan. When was the last time you read about a mass shooting in Japan.

Bass wrote:

Another illogical argument. Just because a law won't pass because of political reasons doesn't mean that it isn't the correct solution to the problem.

Faulty logic! Try again!

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Yes I hope Trump gives that guy a medal for the lives he saved. His quick response and perfect aim saved dozens.

biden said it’s irrational for people in churches to be allowed to have guns to protect themselves. Wrong again there quid pro Joe!

Yep, he was part of the security detail for the church. So, where is this victim blaming, Blacklabel?

6 ( +8 / -2 )

It is correct if the masses don’t want the second amendment touched or ratified, ask Reid, he’ll tell you.

Faulty logic! Try again!

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

That's the funny thing about the South, a crazed gunman could find himself outgunned inside of a church full of Christian worshipers.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

identified as a former FBI agent and part of the church’s security — shot the suspect.

The "church's security" let a man enter with a huge gun ?

@Bass

Faulty logic! Try again!

LOL! So, you agree that I am correct, and you are using faulty logic and attempting to distract.

Thank you!

5 ( +9 / -4 )

The "church's security" let a man enter with a huge gun ?

Of course. It’s Texas. One is legally allowed to carry their weapon in church.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

It's inspiring when your church has any number of people pulling out guns to shoot each other. White religious fundamentalists now pack guns and Bibles. America is nuts. Thank you NRA and GOP.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Moron gun nutters are doing their usual mental gymnastics trying to justify the ridiculous amount of guns easily available in the U

4 ( +9 / -5 )

LOL! So, you agree that I am correct

No, I agree with Harry Reid. He’s an honest liberal when it comes to Second Amendment

Thank you!

Gun haters will never win on the second amendment issue, never.

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

Gun haters will never win on the second amendment issue, never.

You have to have an actual understanding of what “gun haters” think about the second amendment, which you constantly demonstrate you do not, to make this statement.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Gun haters will never win on the second amendment issue, never

There are no gun haters, just those of us that want to prevent the murder of innocent people.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Which a good man with a gun just prevented. The murder of innocent people.

-5 ( +5 / -10 )

Which a good man with a gun just prevented. The murder of innocent people.

The exception and you guys try to convince us it’s the rule. Too bad for you guys that we don’t all ascribe to your “logic.”

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Yee Haa. Guns -n- Jesus. The 11th commandement says thow shalln't cometh to churchith withoutith yourith guniths.

Which a good man with a gun just prevented.

That's right and the NRA is now pushing for a law for students in grade schools to be able to carry in school just like church people can in case they are attacked by a school shooter. What if students in Sandy Hook or  Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School had been allowed to carry guns? If JesusTrumpNRA2A people are allowed to carry guns to church then so should school kids. What does 2A say? "...shall not be infringed..." and this is a right for not only adults but for children.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

I got my .45, wallet, and keys. What else do I need for church? Oh! My bible.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Gun haters will never win on the second amendment issue, never.

It's so funny when Trump2ANRA people say things like this but then come to Japan which has some of the strictest gun regulations in the world. They worship their guns to boost their self esteem but then gladly leave them behind when they come to Japan.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

people that “support guns.”

What kind of guns specifically? How about the Milkor MGL. That can protect against people attacking churches.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

It’s what happened in this case, which is what is being discussed.

The exception and you guys try to convince us it’s the rule

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

It’s what happened in this case, which is what is being discussed.

Yes, and my comment still stands.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

A good man with a gun stopped a bad man with a gun from hurting a lot more people in a house of Christian worship. Liberals don’t mind to mock Christians but scared to death to comment when it’s anything done by an Islamist or a minority.

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

yes it stands. As a “comment” of your opinion, sure.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

a good man with a gun stopped a bad man with a gun from hurting a lot more people in a house of Christian worship. Liberals don’t mind to mock Christians but scared to death to comment when it’s anything done by an Islamist or a minority.

Bingo!

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

A good man with a gun stopped a bad man with a gun from hurting a lot more people in a house of Christian worship

Right and shouldn't teenagers and other schoolkids have the same rights to carry while they are hanging out with their friends? Children have the same NRA rights as adults, don't they? What if the students at Sandy Hook had been armed? They could have defended themselves against Adam Lanza, and other such school shootings like in Florida recently. So then how about a good student with a gun? That could have made a difference just like in this story.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

The assault weapons act actually created the NRA as we know today.

The NRA was originally supportive of gun control and their activities mostly consisted of teaching and qualifying marksmanship to the Boy Scouts and giving the “assume all weapons are loaded, don’t touch, call an adult” class at schools.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

What surprises me is not that this happened, but rather that they are actually reporting this clear example of a good guy with a gun saving lives. Usually, these things are swept under the rug.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

clear example of a good guy with a gun saving lives

Then what happened in Dallas with Micah Xavier. Good guy with guns is a myth. Micah Xavier is proof.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

re article: "Texas Governor Greg Abbott said in a statement: "Places of worship are meant to be sacred, and I am grateful for the church members who acted quickly to take down the shooter and help prevent further loss of life."

NICE...Don't Mess with Texas.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

In the land of the gun........ protected by custom and law.... . If you can't beat them, join them.

To be fair, in the six years I spent in the States the only gun I saw apart from those carried by the cops, was my father's service pistol. (But that was back in the good old days.)

3 ( +3 / -0 )

just imagine if he hadn’t had his weapon what could’ve happened.

just like in Las Vegas when the were literally 100s of heavily armed police yet more than 50 people died, people who were armed couldn't show their weapons in public otherwise the police may have mistakenly them as the gunman.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I can see the NRA jumping up and down now, shouting " told you so that we need more guns to protect or selfs" we all know how ridiculous this statement is, I am glad that there was some quick actions from the parishioners as it could have been a lot worse.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Just imagine if the perpetrator hadn’t had his weapon what might not have happened....

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Every day more and more and more people are killed... Soon will be no person alive and only then the sootings will finally stop because will be no one around to pull the trigger... That is what to expect from a country where 99 percent of people are morons...

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Sorry, shootings, not sootings...

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Looks like the founders of that town forced the local people away, so it can be an all white town.

So which tribe claims the Black Hills of South Dakota these days? Could it be the Kiowas? Nope, they lived there in the 1700’s. Is it the Arapaho and Cheyenne tribes? Ahhh, no. It must be the Lakota Sioux who still have some claims to the land. All taken by force.

Get the picture?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Actually, trust, because God gave us hands and guns and the will to use them.

IRA in action folks. Humans made guns, God had nothing to do with it. What are the gun laws in Russia again?

"*And an angel of the Lawd descended upon Abraham and said, 'Here is the holy Glock G19, that you may smite your fellow tribesmen in the house of Gawd.' And Abraham prostrated himself before the holy Glock and spoketh, 'Glory be to GAWD AND GUNZ!'" - *Says no bible passage ever.

CINO is the correct term for them. They use religion as some kind of imaginary self prescribed "legitimacy" for their own hypocrisy and stupidity.

What surprises me is not that this happened, but rather that they are actually reporting this clear example of a good guy with a gun saving lives. Usually, these things are swept under the rug.

The NRA literally pushes these kinds of stories for their own personal propaganda. This must have resulted because of too many other "bad guys with guns" in Texas, so they have to show a "good guys with guns" story to "balance" out and distract from the main problem.

Gun culture in the US is utterly toxic now thanks to the NRA which has devolved from its original purpose to a fanatically lead corporate gun manufacturing PR machine whose main purpose is, "Sell moar gunz!" Who cares if people are dying if there is profit to be made!

There used to be a day when nobody would ever think of taking a weapon into a church because Christians actually tried to put God first and left weapons at home. Don't send your children to school! They might be shot! Don't go to church or any places of worship! You might be shot! Look at how far we've fallen...

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Good thing the two parishioners were good shots. Otherwise, more collateral damage would have resulted. I do not like the fact that anyone can pack heat.
