It sounds as if Europe has accepted that COVID-19 will be around for a while yet and to live with it.

Everybody knows it'll be around for awhile, until it reaches almost all of the populations

The trick is to not get everyone sick all in a short amount of time, as to overwhelm the capacity of the healthcare system to provide sufficient care to each patient

That's what flattening the curve does. Flattening the curve doesn't mean people won't ever get infected - flattening the curve spreads it out over a longer period of time. That's why it'll be around for a long time, because when ya flatten the curve, ya stretch the amount of time

It sounds as if Europe has accepted that COVID-19 will be around for a while yet and to live with it. Economically, Spain probably has no choice but to open back up.
