President Trump has now pulled ahead of Biden in Pennsylvania by 2 points

According to whom?

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Trump's Dow down 650 today.

You can't get the economy moving until Covid is contained.

Economies recover but dead people don't.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

So basically, as private individuals, they’re not allowed to make money? Heartless.

When the Trump family have their snouts in the trough, it's absolutely fine, but if there is even a whiff that Hunter Biden may have done the same, the whole Biden clan should be strung up.

It's not just the double standards, it is people revealing in the fact that they are being screwed over by those they worship.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

@bob

President Trump has now pulled ahead of Biden in Pennsylvania by 2 points and surging after Biden's impossible gaffe in the debates to transition away from oil.

I wouldn’t bet the house on an InsiderAdvantage poll of 400 “likely” voters when it’s the only one of about 10 recent polls in PA showing Trump with any kind of lead. You noted that it shows Trump up by 2 points but you forgot to mention that it has a margin of error of 5.9.

Trump has failed to deliver at all levels.

The perfect example is the Foxconn scam Trump and the governor of Wisconsin pulled on Americans. Billions of dollars in tax credits and fanfare/photo ops of groundbreaking ceremonies about Foxconn building factories, "innovation" centers and jobs, jobs, jobs for 13,000 Americans.

It never happened. Well, Foxconn was able to stroke Trumps ego to avoid tariffs and tweets from Trump. It's easy to manipulate a childlike, narcissist president.

Border walls? Yeah, right.

The S&P 500 has always performed better under every Democratic administration.

The deficit has been reduced by every Democratic administration since 1933 and exploded under every Republican administration, including Trump.

Trump has been wrong about every single thing.

The only thing he has delivered is division, pitting Americans against each other, a pathetic response to a pandemic and dragged the US into a swamp of corruption and hypocrisy.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

"The bottom line is, Donald Trump is the worst possible president, the worst possible person to lead us through this pandemic."

THE WORST POSSIBLE PRESIDENT indeed.

Trump's a failed war president. The deaths of 225,000 Americans under his watch, an economy in shambles (for all but his fellow 'elite') with NO plans to deal with the pandemic except through 'herd mentality' (quote Trump), with NO plans to help the dozens of millions of Americans suffering financially because of his ongoing bungling.

While Trump's family continue to use their WH positions to get even richer and his DC swamp becomes even more toxic.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

Blacklabel: But when Trump is leading by 1% it "too close to call/within the margin of error" and he doesnt get the votes in his total.

Enough of the victimization talk. It's tiresome to listen to the constant whining from the right.

I fully agree that Trump has a chance of winning. At the end of the day it all comes down to who actually votes, not which candidate people like or support. I'm happy with the position that Biden is in. It's better than being on the other side of the coin and hoping everyone is wrong again.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

@ Blue Sausage

This baseless story has been going around among the tin foil hat crowd although the amounts are usually different. However, there is absolutely no evidence of fraudulent reporting to receive a higher Medicare rate and, in fact, based on “excess deaths” the number of COVID deaths in the US is actually being underreported.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Trump has failed to deliver at all levels.

The perfect example is the Foxconn scam Trump and the governor of Wisconsin pulled on Americans.

The aptly named Foxconn, touted by Trump as the "Eighth Wonder of the World", is symbolic of the malaise that has afflicted the country under the maladministration of the wannabe "Fox News Führer". Pennsylvania is showing "Trump fatigue" which will flip to its native son next week.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

I don't think any of this matters. People have made up their minds. It's all over except for the whining.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

bass: Hardly.

Like I said, Trump will always have a chance of winning. I just find it to be low odds that he's going to squeak out 10,000 vote victories again.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Like I said, Trump will always have a chance of winning. I just find it to be low odds that he's going to squeak out 10,000 vote victories again.

I think this time, it should be a landslide for him.

Define landslide. How many states? Will he win the popular vote this time?

Remember that last time you dismissed Trump as the leader of a ‘lunatic fringe’ and said Clinton would win. Be careful with your predictions.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Noidall: Trump is different. He speaks with conviction and not from a script written in the 80’s. Trump said he didn’t need to run for president, but as an American he saw the damage done to the country by 8 years of Obama and Biden. Trump was pissed at them, China, NAFTA, NATO, corrupt career democrats, illegal immigration, etc. For Trump it’s personal

heh

"This time is different. Normally I wouldn't vote for the proven racist and P-grabber who steals from charities and can't go 5 minutes without lying, but Trump is pure. I know it in my heart. My heart of hearts. I looked into his soul and he looked into mine. The proven scam artist would never use me or hurt me or play me for a fool. I'm too special to him"

The Race Hasn’t Changed Much Since The Debate, And That’s Good For Biden

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-race-hasnt-changed-much-since-the-debate-and-thats-good-for-biden/

Michigan and Wisconsin are lost to Trump. Pennsylvania is slightly leaning Biden and Arizona and Florida are too close to call (within the margin of error).

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Blacklabel: 538 got both the Presidential and Senate race wrong in 2016 for Pennsylvania. dont know why you would be referencing them this time.

I clearly said "slightly leaning Biden" with a 5% lead. Not sure how much softer I can put it.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

@Seapig Does any nation on God's earth, other than the US, give an extra $17K premium to a medical facility and doctor for declaring on the death certificate that a patient died of Covid? Proof of actual Covid cause of death is not required. Do you have any further questions as to why the Covid death rate is so high? Who in their right mind would refuse a fast $17K?

No, and it doesn't happen in the US, either.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

I'd rather have an old President who takes naps but trusts his experts and has actual plans rather than the megalomaniac idiot who has destroyed the country over the last near 4 years.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

Biden made a small-scale appearance in the city of Chester, near Philadelphia, meeting with about a dozen campaign volunteers and speaking with reporters.

He needs to up his game a bit and avoid snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Trump's rallies look lively and Biden looks a bit too sedate and plays to the message that he is an old man.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Joe needs this Presidency like a hole in the head. Wife Jill is fully aware of this.

And America needs either of these two like a hole in the head. Unfortunately, too many voters are barely aware of this. An American tragedy! To be continued...

2 ( +3 / -1 )

He speaks with conviction and not from a script written in the 80’s.

"Conviction"? Trump would have to look that one up in a borrowed dictionary. Biden's home state should put him over the top next week since Trump only won this crucial swing state by 78,000 in 2016. The damage the incompetent, impeached Potus has done to America can only be undone by replacing him with Pennsylvania's (and the corrupt DNC's) favorite son, grandpa Biden whose frail condition means that his tenure will probably be mercifully short. Since justice matters, next year we can expect Trump to be "convicted", one of those "best words" he likes to boast about and does know the meaning of.

Pennsylvania Dreamin'.....

All the voters are white

And the sky is gray

I've been for a walk

On an autumns day

I'd be sure of re-election

If I had a heart and brain

Pennsylvania dreamin'

On such a autumn's day......

Many at the Trump event not wearing a mask.

Fight for what you believe in now or cry for what you lost later. People do have a choice.

-1 ( +6 / -7 )

Well, one campaign is holding bio-terrorism events...

*The president has participated in nearly three dozen rallies since mid-August, all but two at airport hangars. A USA TODAY analysis shows COVID-19 cases grew at a faster rate than before after at least five of those rallies in the following counties: Blue Earth, Minnesota; Lackawanna, Pennsylvania; Marathon, Wisconsin; Dauphin, Pennsylvania; and Beltrami, Minnesota. * Together, those counties saw 1,500 more new cases in the two weeks following Trump’s rallies than the two weeks before – 9,647 cases, up from 8,069.

And also spreading misinformation...

*With the pandemic getting worse, not better, President Donald Trump tried to turn reality on its head during a series of rallies on Saturday in North Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin. “We’re rounding the turn. Our numbers are incredible,” Trump claimed in Lumberton, North Carolina, before blasting the media for its alleged fear-mongering. *But the US is not rounding a turn for the better. Friday and Saturday saw new daily coronavirus infections in the US surge past 80,000 for the first time ever. And it’s not just cases — hospitalizations are up more than 33 percent over the last month, and the seven-day average of deaths is now back above 800.

The Trump mantra - kill and lie to Americans...

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Think it is increasingly unlikely that Biden can beat George Trump.  Not only does he not know where he is, he doesn't seem to remember who he is running against.  Also I saw a clip of him being asked one of three questions on his short trip today and he got totally lost and confused....  His team had to shepherd him away from the press.

Even if Trump is a blowhard and all and even if you have doubts about some of his policies (although in some cases - like no new wars and focus on helping less fortunate Americans he has done ok), Americans surely cannot want to put the levers of power into the hands of some demented old man.

And as for Kamala, anyone who saw her on 60 minutes or on Rachel Madows (Sh**) show, she comes across as the most frivolous, insincere and fatuous person to ever want her in power.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Like I said, Trump will always have a chance of winning. I just find it to be low odds that he's going to squeak out 10,000 vote victories again.

I think this time, it should be a landslide for him. Biden looks on paper, but you do need a fan base, a billionaire from Europe can’t think buying an election is what the country wants, I get it, he wants to help Biden, but there’s no enthusiasm there and every Democrat knows it.

I think this time, it should be a landslide against him. Biden looks good on paper, but you do need a cult, and an autocrat from Russia can’t fool us twice, I get it, he wants to help his Puppet, but there’s no enthusiasm there and every Repub knows it. Just Herman Cain...

Fixed it for you...

That was a joke, right? George Trump? You actually didn't mean that, did you? You calling the President George Trump while saying Biden was lost and confused?

Satire, right?

If not, that really sums up Trump-world better than Stephen Colbert or Jimmy Kimmel ever could...

Ad the bad news in the last days of a failed Trump campaign just keep getting worse....

New Hampshire Union Leader Breaks More Than 100 Years Of Tradition By Backing Biden. The conservative newspaper praised the Democratic candidate as “the president we desperately need” while blasting Trump as “100 percent wrong for America. “President Trump is not always 100 percent wrong, but he is 100 percent wrong for America,” the editorial board wrote Sunday. “Mr. Trump rightly points out that the COVID-19 crisis isn’t his fault, but a true leader must own any situation that happens on their watch. We may be turning a corner with this virus, but the corner we turned is down a dark alley of record infections and deaths.”

Ouch....and that's from a conservative outlet...

and right on cue, BLM rioting and setting police cars on fire in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Sure, maybe like this BLM member...

A member of the far-right anti-government Boogaloo Bois has been charged with opening fire on a Minneapolis police precinct while pretending to be a Black Lives Matter protester, according to the federal complaint against him.

As for the notion of Joe somehow "controlling the virus" that is equally laughable. how has "controlling the virus" gone in the rest of the infected world?

I assume you think "George Trump" has done it better...

Only region that appears to have done reasonably well is East Asia........

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

how has "controlling the virus" gone in the rest of the infected world?

Well, the US population is less than 5% of the world population but the DEATH count from COVID is almost 20% of the world total. It looks like a lot of places must be doing better than the US under Trump...

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Trump is the only candidate that really knows how to campaign, Biden has been on a free ride for 47 years and now realizes he has to work a little to win. He understands he can never keep up with the pace due to his age and elitist mindset, so of course he has recruited Kamala and Obama to do his stump work. Go figure.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

No, RCP Trump/ Biden 4 way spread, affords Jo Biden campaign a 7.8 point lead but be cautious of the time line, date of polling data collection methodology.

Carlos Salinas de Gortari was credited with saying "a poor politician is a poor politician". Biden is not a poor politician. Check out young Biden at gtv.org/web

Be aware of the MoE (margin of error).....If you are thinking of having a flutter (bet)...

Also how US public perception of Donald Trump handling of this pandemic and Joe Biden's solution, will/has affect voting intentions. The voting day turn out could be curial to which candidate, Twitter crazy Trump, or comatose Joe Biden gains office

Trump…. 'Joe Biden called me George yesterday. Couldn't remember my name.

'Got some help from the anchor to get him through the interview. The Fake News Cartel is working overtime to cover it up!'

Joe Biden’s Campaign Manager Greg Schultz and director of strategic communications Kamau Mandela Marshal need to get a grip.

Who is Joe Biden referring to, George W. (2001-09) or maybe George H.W. (1989-93) or perhaps Saint George (died 303) taming and slaying a dragon?

Joe Biden is handing Donald Trump the political opportunity to continue to humiliate, and cast doubt on Joe Biden metal capacity to deal with the day to day challenges, stress, associated with the Globes most powerful Office, President of the United  States of America.

Also during a press call, Donald Trump's top campaign manager Bill Stepien referred to Minnesota Rep Ilhan Omar 'the most extreme, most dangerous' member of the Democratic Party.

"I think we're going to win Michigan, I think we're going to win Wisconsin. I think we're going to win Minnesota. I think have a fighting chance in Ohio. I think we have a fighting chance in North Carolina...

Yeah, Biden also thinks he never said he was against fracking.

CNN is giving Biden a 10 point lead in Pennsylvania so I guess Trump is toast there, haha, lol

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Uh huh.

Just three days before Election Day in 2016, Muhlenberg College poll numbers showed Hillary Clinton holding a six point lead in Pennsylvania. Ultimately, Donald Trump would win the state by less than 1%.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Biden made a small-scale appearance in the city of Chester, near Philadelphia, meeting with about a dozen campaign volunteers and speaking with reporters.

After which Biden needed another nap because he is too old and worn out to continue such a hectic schedule. Almost a dozen campaign volunteers? Whew.

Biden has already lost Pennsylvania with the fracking and oil/gas comments.

Just taking a few days for the polling to catch up to his comments.

Florida is now TRUMP!

Nate Silver is a joke, he posted 12 hours ago that Biden is "very narrowly" ahead in Texas and Georgia.

Sure he is, Nate. Sure he is.

President Trump has now pulled ahead of Biden in Pennsylvania by 2 points and surging after Biden's impossible gaffe in the debates to transition away from oil.

If the President holds this lead and wins Florida - which he almost certainly will - I don't see a path to victory for Biden.

THE WORST POSSIBLE PRESIDENT indeed.

Hardly.

Biden could never have done this any better. Trump did what the experts asked, closed the country down. Blocked China, the source of where this virus originated, created ventilators by the thousands as well as masks, almost every Democrat leader that worked with Trump during the high point said that the President has delivered on every promise, but even now with all the Federal help they’ve received, these Democrat governors and mayors still refuse to reopen their States and still could care less if people are hungry and can’t go to work, pay their bills, feed their families, they continue to suffer and these people will not allow the job creators to put these people back to work and as more people loss money Biden wants to raise taxes and punish the job creators...yeah, that’ll work.

While Trump's family continue to use their WH positions to get even richer

So basically, as private individuals, they’re not allowed to make money? Heartless.

and his DC swamp becomes even more toxic.

Biden is the epitome of a stewing swamp

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

Incorrect.

No, Who was correct, and because of that it did save a lot of lives and thanks for the efforts of Trump in the medical experts they are working diligently to create a vaccine.

Only kind of.

....and Democrats still refuse to blame China as if Trump created it, if that is not mental madness, I don’t know what it is.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

I also find it interesting when Biden is winning by 1% its "leaning Biden" and all the electoral maps are colored for him and the votes are added to his total.

But when Trump is leading by 1% it "too close to call/within the margin of error" and he doesnt get the votes in his total.

Weve seen all this before, you know.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )
