Trump is an idiot! Anyone who can sit here and defend what this President said here, is also an idiot as well, in my opinion.

18 ( +32 / -14 )

People say these articles are misrepresenting Trump. However, the following day after the initial comments, he further defended his comments and started throwing more attacks at the women.

the four congresswomen "communist" and "anti-Semitic"

They were elected in a Democratic-Republic society so does that mean the people that voted for them are communist?

“Anti-Semitic?” I’m curious what that is based on? The ignorant belief about people who represent certain religions or have roots in certain parts of this world?

17 ( +19 / -2 )

"If somebody has a problem with our country, if somebody doesn't want to be in this country, they should leave," he said.

Then why did he choose to become a president? He obviously had a problem with the country and the way it was run, so why didn't he just left?

Obviously when you are a citizen of a country, and you don't like the way the country is being run, you can take a stand and try to fix it. It's called Democracy. If people have a problem with the country they live in, it's their right to try and fix the problem. By his logic and way of thinking, America would still have slaves. Women weren't allowed to vote until the 30s. They had a problem, so they gathered and fixed it, they didn't leave the country, they fought for their rights in the country they were born in, they made the country better for them and others. Blacks had a problem with the country, they didn't leave, they took a stand and fought for their rights, they made the country a better place. Today, other minorities and people have a problem with the country, so they take a stand and do what they believe is right for the country. Trump is doing what he believes is right for the country, AOC is doing what she believes is right.

I suspect a lot of the hysteria against people like Omar is because she is very outspoken against Israel, and US interventions that help Israel. Her constant rants and exposure of the truth of the US foreign interventions triggers the Neocons. Many famous people in the past have been killed for speaking against the military and the Pentagon. This is not a conspiracy theory, but a simple observation of facts. For example, many people speculate that the reason MLK was killed is because he started talking too much against the foreign wars, and in particular against the Vietnam war. Pentagon people didn't care about her until he started inserting anti-war rhetoric in his speeches. I am guessing people were afraid he might trigger an anti-war sentiment, so they had to take care of him. Many people also speculate that the real reason JFK was killed was because he wanted to end the Cold War, which became evident by the fact that he started having solo meetings and talks with the Russians without talking to his generals. Anyone who challenges the war machine is going to become a target, and i suspect "the squad" are becoming a target.

Republicans are all utterly immoral and spineless. Not one has the guts to stand up to the hate-filled lies of Donald Trump.

Trump is a pure psychopath.

14 ( +20 / -6 )

Donny is such a moronic racist imbecile. He's throwing fuel on the fire:

“[They’re] complaining all the time, very simply, you can leave right now,” added Trump. “Come back if you want, don’t come back, it’s OK too. But if you’re not happy, you can leave.”

This is rich coming from a guy that spent the entire Obama administration whining, bitching, and moaning. That's in-between spreading racist birther nonsense.

13 ( +18 / -5 )

If somebody has a problem with our country, if somebody doesn't want to be in this country, they should leave

This is the leader of the nation folks. "If you don't like this nation, don't try to improve it, don't try to fix it, just get out and go somewhere else".

Remember how Republicans went on about Obama being the divider-in-chief? Here you have the president literally telling people to just go away, and what do we hear from the right? Cheers and support.

Has there ever been a more pathetically disgusting blatantly hypocritical group of unpatriotic morons in any country ever? Hard to think of one.

12 ( +18 / -6 )

He's crossed a line here. While his more deluded fans will back him and defend him no matter what he utters (see comments below from the usual suspects) those more moderate voters can really see him for what he is - an old man with nasty racist views that were commonplace when he was young.

11 ( +23 / -12 )

Where are the decent elected Republicans?

Trump said progressive congresswomen of color should “go back where they came from”

They are from the US. Just like Trump -- whose mother and the mothers of his children are foreign born.

But Trump's foreign born mother and wives are white. If that ain't racist and un-American, what is?

There have got to be at least a few dozen Republicans who are currently in office and have both the guts and the common decency to publicly denounce Trump’s racist swill. Where are they?

Where are the decent elected Republicans? We always hear about them. Where are they?

11 ( +19 / -8 )

So wait... are they supposed to 'go back to where they came from and work to fix it,' in which case AOC, Tlaib, Pressley, and Omar are all EXACTLY where they are supposed to be (in Congress working to help their districts), or are they supposed to be leaving?

Honestly, can't have both, Donnie Racist.

11 ( +16 / -5 )

[Trumpm] should go back to Scotland or has it Germany?

I called. Neither will take him.

11 ( +15 / -4 )

Maybe Melania should take her anchor baby and chain migration parents and go back to whatever craphole country she came from.

But I don't mean that in any racist way.

11 ( +15 / -4 )

He's doubling down today, as always. Can't admit to any wrong doing, despite the blatant racism.

What on earth is he trying to deflect from?

10 ( +18 / -8 )

Trump has shown his true colors

The Putin / Bannon crowd are smiling as Trump provides even more red meat to those in his base fearing women and people of ethnicities different from theirs.

Trump's once again using the media - all outlets - to attract attention to himself and the trump brand name. Could it be to distract from what Mueller might say on July 24th?

10 ( +14 / -4 )

Such a resolution could put Trump's fellow Republicans in Congress in an awkward position, forcing them either to vote against their party's leader, who has strong support among conservatives, or to effectively defend his statements.

Embrace the humiliation like the cowards that you are.

10 ( +15 / -5 )

Anyone who challenges the war machine is going to become a target, and i suspect "the squad" are becoming a target.

Aye. That's my worry, too.

It's not just confined to foreign policy disagreements, either. Women who have come forward in cases of sexual abuse and rape have had death threats made to them.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

I thought the whole "Make America Great Again" was a mantra for people who hated what America currently is....? Or were they really saying, "I'll Leave America Now" and I just misread it?

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Would someone shut this guy up???

He has done the exact opposite of making America great again.

To paraphrase Obama from 2016 to Trump “in your 70 years on this planet what have you learned?”

8 ( +13 / -5 )

Another day, another hate-filled, racist, remark from our jack-booted KKK loving President.

"Send all the brown people back" - it's something I'd expect to hear from David Duke...

And as has been mentioned, the Repubs in the Senate and House sit on their hands with a blank look on their face - utter cowards.

Nero fiddles while Rome burns - Repubs sit stone-faced while the US is torn apart - by a two year old man-child that shouldn't have been let off the stage of his third-rate reality TV show.

And Putin rejoices...his attack on our democracy will go down as one of the Russian's most successful interventions ever...

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Point of order: Trump is a racist by any definition of the word. He is "president" by only the loosest definition of the word.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

@wolfpack  If that’s your goal - feel free to take your wealth back to your motherland.

Echoing the white Republican's 'Love it or leave it' mantra of the Vietnam War era. Then White Republicans wanted what was arguably the stupidest and ugliest of all the US's stupid and ugly wars to continue, and to rid themselves of those opposing the war.

White Republicans today, recognizing their demographic is shrinking, are making last gasp efforts to maintain control by wanting to rid the country of their 'opponents' (most of whom are their neighbors). And Trump's their man pushing their agenda.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

It's kind of nice that the gloves are coming off. I mean we always knew Trump fans supported his racism, but it's good to see it out in the open now.

The line in the sand has been drawn. On an international message board, no less. You'd think everyone here has learned a little something about racism...

7 ( +11 / -4 )

4 out of 5 of Trump's children have immigrant mothers. Trump's mother was an immigrant.

Yeah, they're legal immigrants. What's your point?

The families of the four congresswomen were/are legal immigrants, some of them a couple of generations back. What's your point?

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Such a resolution could put Trump's fellow Republicans in Congress in an awkward position, forcing them either to vote against their party's leader, who has strong support among conservatives, or to effectively defend his statements.

This hasn't stopped them until now, I'm not sure why the author would think they would suddenly start having conscience of morality. They sold their souls on that matter a couple of years back now.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Real congresswomen, fake president.

Four minority women showing why they're better Americans than the ***** in the White House can ever hope to be. And more intelligent. And more decent. And more able to string together a complete sentence.

Trump attacks them because 1. He is racist and his cult loves his racism. 2. He is a sexist like his base. 3. It distracts from the Epstein investigation. 4. It distracts from the for-profit kids in cages scandal. 5. The coming Mueller testimony. 6. Trump's swamp of corruption.

Ladies of the House, America is with you!

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Are those few Republicans who spoke out against Trump those RINOs I hear about?

6 ( +8 / -2 )

McConnell's wife, too, that Asian lady. Go back to China!

And don't give me any of that "racist" crap.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

It is not anti-Muslim to ask some workers not to cover their heads.

Please remember that Canada is not a majority Muslim country

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Trumper Logic;

"So what if Trump was fined for refusing to rent to black folks, said 5 black teenagers who were later proved innocent should be executed, called for a ban on all Muslims, called Mexicans "rapists", called Puerto Ricans "lazy", said some Neo-Nazis and white supremacists are "fine people", and now said four American Congresswomen of color should just leave the US...

There's no proof he's a racist"...

6 ( +9 / -3 )

4 out of 5 of Trump's children have immigrant mothers.

Trump's mother was an immigrant.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

It would appear the facade of democracy is slipping. Trump's hateful rhetoric is a blatant invitation to have one (or all) of these women assassinated.

5 ( +12 / -7 )

Maybe Melania should take her anchor baby and chain migration parents and go back to whatever craphole country she came from.

Trump should go back to his country. The majority of Americans never wanted him in the first place.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

And so the status quo shall continue.

Have a nice day.

Toasted HereticToday  08:16 am JST

I wonder how long before a Trumpist echo chamber turned in on itself?

Perhaps we should leave them to it, let them devour themselves with bigotry and falsehoods.

I think so. Responding in any way just seems to get comment threads disabled. If I see some particularly inane and provocative pro-Trump comment I always feel better if I think about a response but decide against it.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Wolf, what is white genocide?

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Trump and the GOP are going all on on the uneducated white American male.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Anyone who supports Trump on this is as big a racist and misogynist as he is. Period.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

It would be really swell if everyone (Dems, Repubs, et. al)would get to work. American politics is like a GD fourth grade class of whiners and rabble rousers.

4 ( +12 / -8 )

I've mostly given up on debating them. They've dropped any pretense at logic and actual debate, and just switched to disingenuous whining about things they were doing themselves for eight years of the past administration. Basically, every whine of theirs can be logically rebuffed with a comment of 'but, you guys!'.

^ This. In a nutshell.

I wonder how long before a Trumpist echo chamber turned in on itself?

Perhaps we should leave them to it, let them devour themselves with bigotry and falsehoods.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

If I were to criticize Japan all the time then I too would be urged to return home....

4 ( +4 / -0 )

If the squad really love America, then step onto the debate stage and tear up the race card.

yet you have a POTUS who clearly doesn't even look at them as Americans and tells 3 of them to go back to their parents country of birth, how can anybody who has an ounce of pride in their heritage/culture let that slide, especially from the leader of the country they were born in and a citizen of. Even if they were white itd be insulting

4 ( +6 / -2 )

This is the answer: not be afraid to be mislabeled as a racist. It's a dirty tactict of the left.

there is nothing mislabeling about Trumps rants , if people cant or wont see it they clearly never will

4 ( +6 / -2 )

@mrnoidalMy interpretation is that since ilhan omar is obviously anti-American and she hates the country that allowed a refugee to become a law maker

Just a tad extremist to suggest someone who says America has problems that need fixing is anti-American. Trump ran on a platform that mentioned lots of American problems he said he'd fix.

That must mean Trump, too, must hate the country.

And given Trump's given almost nothing back to the US but taken lots from it, that's probably true. And given he's trying to undermine basic elements of US systems, even truer.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Republicans must stand up and refute Trump's words. That is their responsibility as Americans, to voice their opinion, and say Trump is a racist, for his comments. Unfortunately, either they're cowards and can't or they are racists.

Either way, the only resultant conclusion from no Republican voice is the latter, all those who do not condemn Trump's racist words are racists: All supporters of Trump are racists.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

Trump has no brain. He should not be trusted with a butter knife, never mind anything more serious.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

The Left made Trump

Which implies the right hate Trump too. Especially the Trump kids wished he was not president because they have to deal with this drama 24/7 as well as the threat to their valuable Trump "brand" (LOL ha ha ha ha) and inheritance. I'm pretty sure FOX News wish Hillary won - it would be much easier and better for business to Trash Hillary than defend Trump. Got to hand it to Hannity and Friends they are creative in trying to defend Trump.

Thanks for making this good point. The right hate Trump too. No one wishes he was president. Not his kids, not FOX executives, maybe just KKK Bundy people and FOX news and catheter TV commercial recipients.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Typical Twitter addict.  Either has idiotic opinions or says them in 140 anyway.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Republicans know that this is horrible but they are afraid to stand up and challenge him because they are worried about the election. These are not the people I want leading my country. People that can't stand up for what is right because they are worried about pitting the party against each other by challenging the President in their own party.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

He has now earned himself the title of "Racist in Chief," and he should be referred to as such in public and in the media.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

So when he tells people to go back to where they came from does that include his immediate family, including Trump himself?

Most people have difficulty seeing their own hypocrisy. Conservatives however are in general completely blind and few that see it love the trolling in the hypocrisy. Trump is playing to his blind zombie and troll base rather well.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

@kestrel anti USA "squad" -

Trump's leading the anti-USA squad while he (with assistance from 'abroad') continues to undermine the pillars the nation was built on.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

@attila If only the media paid more attention to things that actually mattered.

I don't know about others but here in Japan I use the internet where I can find an almost unlimited number of stories covering about any topic I can think of. It could be, though, in Russia, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and other totalitarian states that's not possible.

What the President of the US says 'actually' matters and needs to be reported. Trump, most of his supporters and other far-rightists continue attacking the free, for-profit press for doing their respective jobs.

A free, for-profit press is essential in democracies. No wonder those favoring authoritarian regimes want to restrict the media.

The US has laws that can be applied if a media outlet violates one of them.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Communist apparatchiks from the 1970s were worse. Only because they didn't need to worry about being elected.

Fair enough.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

FYI, I refuse to comment/discuss anything with any of them.

Since Charlottesville and "both sides."

I recommend you all do the same.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

None of the top four Republicans in Congress, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, made any immediate comment.

Probably because they and their Republican base agree with Trump. These putative 'leaders' care only for their moneyed contributors, most of whom come from their same demographic.

Trump and the GOP are continuing to divide and conquer for the benefit of their demographic, not for the country as a whole. I know McConnell's heavily invested in Russian businesses, but am not sure about the others.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

FYI, I refuse to comment/discuss anything with any of them.

Since Charlottesville and "both sides."

I recommend you all do the same.

I've mostly given up on debating them. They've dropped any pretense at logic and actual debate, and just switched to disingenuous whining about things they were doing themselves for eight years of the past administration. Basically, every whine of theirs can be logically rebuffed with a comment of 'but, you guys!'. I've switched to just pointing out how hypocritical they are on everything, alternating with making incendiary statements, deliberately made in a manner used by them. The funny thing is when one of them then comments on my recent change, condemning it, while being entirely oblivious to the fact that I'm deliberately acting like them.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

some words like 'racist' 'nazi' 'concentration camps' etc are way overused and counter effective, also offensive and very disrespectful to people who have witnessed the horrors of any war.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

All people in the USA have freedom of speech. Political speech is especially protected. Doesn't matter if you are a citizen or not. Doesn't matter if it is positive or negative towards any politician. Use your speech rights.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Trunp fan really don't want to make a pecking order in American society.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Muslim travel ban"? Is that what CNN has been claiming?

As well. As Trump. Why would totally not bigoted Trump refer to it as a Muslim travel ban?

https://www.cato.org/blog/dozen-times-trump-equated-travel-ban-muslim-ban

They don’t work in the government or in the intelligence agency, so they can think what they want, but the reality is, in the world of geopolitics, Israel is in fact our closest ally in the MidEast.

Oh, so we're back to trusting the intelligence community now, huh? As long as it's not about election security, right?;)

2 ( +4 / -2 )

It would be really swell if everyone (Dems, Repubs, et. al)would get to work. American politics is like a GD fourth grade class of whiners and rabble rousers.

I never thought I would hear this from Chip...... nailing both sides of the aisle! Thank you Chip and very well written and I could not agree with you more! Well done Sir!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

It’s pretty much a no brainer.

Yes, and these Trump voters stay in Japan and have no real options to return to the USA.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Can somebody say where Trump's  wife was born?. My understanding is that Trumps roots are German. Trumps son-in laws roots are also foreign. So when he tells people to go back to where they came from does that include his immediate family, including Trump himself?

Americans voted for a clown and that what they got. Make America Great - a great laughing stock.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Maybe Melania should take her anchor baby and chain migration parents and go back to whatever craphole country she came from.

Agreed, but not in a racist way. My wife isn't white, so there is no way I can be racist.

Turtle McConnell's wife should go back to China and make it a better place. Remember, im not a racist because my wife isn't white.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

It's a tweet.

If only the media paid more attention to things that actually mattered... but that would entail random acts of journalism rather than sputtering vituperation.

Damn the media for reporting on what the president says and does! Damn it all to hell!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Has there ever been a more pathetically disgusting blatantly hypocritical group of unpatriotic morons in any country ever?

Communist apparatchiks from the 1970s were worse. Only because they didn't need to worry about being elected.

That is the true function of democracy: it allows for non-violent feedback.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

If Trump isn't a racist or a xenophobe, it could be a person like him saying: -This is Mars and not USA, be a Marcian and we'll be one!

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

well, this strategy worked before, right? his base loves such xenophobic rants, he is one of us, hell he talks like we do at the local bar. I'm not even sure anymore he is so stupid as he looks, he stirs the pot and he may even get reelected! Comrade Putin is rights sometimes, democracy os a b*tch

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

It's like everyone already recognizes their anti-American and antisemitic rhetoric.

FALSE. We have heard conservatives drone on and on with lies and misrepresentations about them. Also, there are precious few first and second generation American Congresswomen. Two obvious reasons why its obvious and I feel like Captain Obvious just pointing them out.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

As idiotic as Trump's statements were, it's very encouraging that there was sizable criticism from both sides condemning his racist language. By comparison, I wonder how vociferously the Japanese public would push back if PM Abe were to tell Renho to "go back to her country", for instance. (If I remember correctly he had his own "birth certificate" moment with her a few years back.) It's just helpful to keep things in perspective every once in a while.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

All of the listed countries below....all undesirable? All corrupt? Why? Is it Trumps fault? I mean, they are in the same hemisphere right? Many are near the equator, rich in resources and climate that is favorable for many crops. None of them can take in immigrants?

Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama

Colombia, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and Ecuador.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

they are all opportunist, so predictable as you said, and a joke

Elizabeth Warren: "You want repatriations? So do I!" When pressed for how she will do it....not a clue.

These people just say/do whatever it takes to get in office

after that its the same ole. Trump for 2020!

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Next time Trump can tell Nancy Pelosi to go back to Italy if they have an argue in the white house !

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

still waiting on an answer as to why these countries are all deemed unsuitable candidates for South American immigrants wanting to immigrate, or escape favorable conditions from their country. In the US we have Hispanic month, and one would think with all their pride, at least one of these countries would be 1st world and have immigrants just flowing into it. Your saying all of them are hopeless?

Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama

Colombia, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and Ecuador.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

This is pure strategic genius on Trump's part. He's forcing Pelosi (who also hates the "squad") to circle the wagons around the squad, just as they were trying to distance themselves from them. They know that far left, socialist/communist policies still don't poll well with most Americans or even most Democrats. Look at the #walkaway movement and all the people saying the Democratic party left them (yours truly included).

Now the Dem party becomes the party of AOC and Trump gets even more votes. He has cast the stage with himself as the pro-America candidate and them as the anti-America candidates. Just masterful.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

We do the same to the people that go on about the Russia hoax.

BOOM! Headshot! See the deflection and failure to even try and prove Omar is anti-semitic?

And I never said the liberals were guilt free. Its just more likely they will be able to cough up some actual reasons for what they say, such as team Trump players literally lying to hide their Russia connections. People have literally gone to jail over this. More are going. With so god awful much smoke, you can't blame people for thinking there is a fire. You chose a typical brain dead example.

What is the proof Omar is anti-semitic? Short answer: it was repeated on conservative lie sites and conservative lie memes enough that conservatives now swear its gospel.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

It's a tweet.

If only the media paid more attention to things that actually mattered... but that would entail random acts of journalism rather than sputtering vituperation.

-5 ( +4 / -9 )

@ SuperLib: Wolf, what is white genocide?

What are you trying to say?

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

zichi - Just dial back the Trump clock to what he said about the Muslim travel ban

"Muslim travel ban"? Is that what CNN has been claiming? Are you referring to the executive orders restricting citizens of seven, then six,  Muslim-majority countries? Six countries out of 193 hardly constitutes a "muslim travel ban". CNN should make some attempt to get their "facts" correct.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Don't you think this is all a bit of smoke and mirrors? Trump purposefully omitted specific names so he can deny he said it about any specific persons. Everyone is all up in arms about his comments. Meanwhile, what is he doing now that people are not noticing because they're so wrapped up in this issue?

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

This is a great strategy by President Trump. He is forcing the Democrats to defend four intensely unpopular members on the extreme fringe of their party. It is a reminder to moderate Dems just what their party has become. Speaker Pelosi was complaining about them just days ago, and now is forced to be on their side.

The master troll has struck again.

As to whether or not the Prez is actually a racist, it's a long discussion. Suffice to say that many of the memes used to attack him ( the 'good people on both sides' comment for example) are not reported accurately, and have no basis in reality.

-6 ( +6 / -12 )

Make no mistake, these people are never happy. Even if they got Trump impeached, majority House and Senate, they would never be happy.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Hilarious that the Canadian leader is criticizing Trump but has stood quietly by with his thumb in his mouth while his home province has just passed an anti-muslim religious apparel ban on public servants including teachers and bus drivers. Canada sure doesn't want any Sikh bus drivers in Quebec or Muslim woman teaching children.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

^^Looks like Attila beat me to it!

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Trump has not singled out anyone by their race - the Left and the media keep making that assumption but it isn’t what he said.

Yep. By terming his nationalist and cultural bigotry as "racism" they defeat their own arguments. I keep asking them to stop, but they seem to want to shoot themselves in the foot too badly.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

I partially agree.

If somebody doesn't like the country they moved to, they should leave. If it is their birth country, then hey should try to improve it.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

President Trump's comments have now forced the democrats to say publicly they support the anti-American "squad" within their party. Liberals are so predictable.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

4 out of 5 of Trump's children have immigrant mothers. Trump's mother was an immigrant.

Yeah, they're legal immigrants. What's your point?

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Neither do you,

I never said that I did, but I was stating a fact, doesn’t mater what or how we both think, for the two countries they are very close, that’s indisputable and Israel will always be protected by us and Omar knows this, she works for the government, so she knows how close we are with Israel.

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

Linconman: a quick taste for you. The much reported "fine people on both sides" quote that is used to imply Trump's support of neo nazis. Here is a direct quote from the president to provide a bit of context for you:

"You had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. ... I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name. ... So you know what, it's fine. You're changing history. You're changing culture. And you had people — and I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the White nationalists, because they should be condemned totally — but you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and White nationalists. Okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly. Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people. But you also had troublemakers, and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets and with the baseball bats. You had a lot of bad people in the other group."

Obviously the fine people were the ones who disagreed about removing Confederate war memorial statues. The President was NOT referring to anyone else.

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

If somebody doesn't like the country they moved to, they should leave. If it is their birth country, then hey should try to improve it.

110% agree! It’s pretty much a no brainer.

Fair call if you dont like where you are go home...damm why are so many Americans living in Japan...

Not just Americans. Lol

The nutty, hateful anti semitic, anti USA "squad" - Trump has forced Pelosi to defend them and strengthened their hand in their power struggle against her. Brilliant.

SuperLib: you are right, I HAVE learned a lot about racism. Enough to know that what the President did is not racism. Provocative, yes. Factually wrong, yes (but remember who said it was more important to be morally right than factually accurate...). Great political strategy, yes.

You gotta remember, Trump is a blowhard businessman from New York. Guys like him lead with their mouth, then think afterwards. It's part of his attraction with a large segment of the public. They prefer someone who is frank and spontaneous rather than fake and scripted.

Either way, the only resultant conclusion from no Republican voice is the latter, all those who do not condemn Trump's racist words are racists: All supporters of Trump are racists.

That view would make sense if those attacking Trump were not themselves racist and anti-Semitic. Identity politics has made President Trump possible. The Left made Trump - they are now going even more Marxist-Leninist as a result. Keep it up - keep defending Omar’s and Rashida Tlaib’s anti-Semitism. Keep supporting Cortez’s hatred for White people and opposition for common sense border enforcement. They are nuts. If you are going to go around condemning racism - be sure you are not a racist.

The height of hypocrisy when Omar slanders our closest ally and attacks Jewish people, it’s: she’s just exercising her first amendment, but does it, the msm media has a meltdown and says, you can’t say that. No, sorry, it goes both ways, if she has the right to say what she wants, the President has that exact same platform. Yes I have said before a AOC is hanging around 22% and Omar 9% in favorability and at this point they are starting to become a liability for the Democrat party and I don’t believe that they will be around that much longer if they continue this rhetoric.

Republicans know that this is horrible but they are afraid to stand up and challenge him because they are worried about the election.

Yeah, Pelosi knows a thing or two about that as well. Lol

These are not the people I want leading my country.

You think we want these Democrat socialists leading the country???

People that can't stand up for what is right because they are worried about pitting the party against each other by challenging the President in their own party.

Yeah, we don’t want the infighting that has been engulfing the Democrat party

Can somebody say where Trump's wife was born?. My understanding is that Trumps roots are German. Trumps son-in laws roots are also foreign. So when he tells people to go back to where they came from does that include his immediate family, including Trump himself?

The difference is, he doesn’t hate his country and he doesn’t disparage it.

Americans voted for a clown and that what they got.

I said that 8 years ago as well, but I had to deal with it.

Make America Great - a great laughing stock.

That’s ok. Doesn’t matter what the rest of the world thinks.

Trump is just saying what every other patriotic American is thinking. They have been muzzled by confused academics and media. Here in Japan, such "racist" talk is quickly dismissed by Japan apologist as being love of country or nationalistic. This is why Trump was elected; he has nothing to loose and can say what allot of us are thinking without retaliation.

People of my generation may not feel exactly comfortable with a Muslim in government. Why? Their views and beliefs are alien to the Judeo Christian values that define America. "Diversity" has created an even worse un democratic and backwards thinking society in many parts of Europe. In some cities, men cannot even enter public swimming pools due to the Muslim women, dressed in full garments, in the pool and their beliefs. Can you imagine such a thing happening in Japan? Every daily talk show would be going nuts.

The majority of American's would disagree that Israel is America's closest ally.

They don’t work in the government or in the intelligence agency, so they can think what they want, but the reality is, in the world of geopolitics, Israel is in fact our closest ally in the MidEast.
