It's true, the facts speaks for themselves. No more free ride.

Except you paid for 15 years worth of direct military air passagway into Bagram Airfield Afghanistan from the Arabian Sea to fight the Taliban

This. America's Afghanistan Wars, both the recent and the covert one decades ago, wouldn't have happened with Pakistan's cooperation. American could be losing a nuclear-powered ally. Even if it's only at face value, there's still some value nonetheless.

Sorry, I meant without Pakistan's cooperation.

Bottom line: The world is more dangerous than any time in my 65 years and we have numnutz at the helm.

Somehow it's hard to take Trump seriously when he says that lying is bad.

Isn’t “aid” usually out of date drugs or arms made by American companies?

I like the Pakistan Minister of Defence reply:

Pak as anti-terror ally has given free to US: land & air communication, military bases & intel cooperation that decimated Al-Qaeda over last 16yrs, but they have given us nothing but invective & mistrust. They overlook cross-border safe havens of terrorists who murder Pakistanis.

What a sad, pathetic man -- this is how he starts off his New Year; a twitter tirade of hate and frothing. He must have seen all the polls that favor Obama while he is the worst president in US history.

Toasted Heretic

I like the Pakistan Minister of Defence reply

Well the Minister of Defense, civilian government there have no powers, the military-intelligence-mullah cabal have total and complete power. This cabal is engaged in all kinds of deceit, subterfuge, terrorism activities on this planet, and as you may know, majority of the jihadi's on this planet have been trained by them only. Now given the recent developments in Saudi Arabia, the funding/support to this cabal has been definitely impacted, Trump is just weighing in on that. Now what is Trump's timeline to replace this cabal with a civilian government (with power) remains to be seen.

Sometimes one does a lot with little to show and figures quitting would be best - without considering how worse things would have been without that effort.

Anyone remember the "Great Game" - those battles between GB and Russia over control of central Asia? They were inconclusive.

Trump could if he wishes toss in his hat and concede to Russia. Essentially, that is what Trump is claiming here. I'm not saying it's bad; I'm just saying it is a decision with historical proportions far beyond the understanding of the current American president.

We should have cut off aid to Pakistan the moment we found out bin Laden was holed up there.

A National Security Council official on Monday said the White House does not plan to send $255 million in aid to Pakistan "at this time" and said "the administration continues to review Pakistan’s level of cooperation." In August, the administration had said it was delaying the payment. -- article

So glad that adults are running our country again. . . .

Pakistan's foreign minister, Khawaja M. Asif, wrote on Twitter "We will respond to President Trump's tweet shortly inshallah...Will let the world know the truth..difference between facts & fiction."

Inshallah!

American stop giving aid money to Pakistan is an anything to do with Allah?

It sounds like threatening to me.

What a sad, pathetic man -- this is how he starts off his New Year; a twitter tirade of hate and frothing. He must have seen all the polls that favor Obama while he is the worst president in US history.

So he should award bad behavior? I don’t think Trump gives or cares one iota of what Obama thinks about him, now the media does, that gravy train for them is a gone. Pakistan wants it both ways on one side they do help us a lot with terrorism, but at the same time they support some elements of it. Time to show them, cut it out or they get nothing. Good on Trump, at least he’s not a pacifist.

What were the reasons for the India-Pakistan partition? The Americans should learn from Imperial Britain, Vietnam, and Korea, not to mention its failure in China. Let the people solve their own problems.

What an utterly ridiculous thing to say. Without US assistance, Pakistan would be even more of a bastion for extremism. A nuclear armed bastion. That would certainly alleviate the issues.

Good on Trump, at least he’s not a pacifist.

Sure, because we should all embrace violence. Yee-haw!! Don't mess with Texas, or wherever I claim to be living at the moment!
