accusing him of complicating President Donald Trump's plan to withdraw U.S. troops.

Trump's unable to be an effective leader at home or anywhere; he's too busy pushing his wall. And like Syria, he's yet to make a decision he hasn't flip-flopped on.

Trump needs the media to keep his wall in the headlines and away from the Mueller investigations, his inept White House (what's the turnover rate at this stage?), and the steps he and his GOP enablers are taking to reduce environmental, workplace and consumer protection, i.e. protections that benefit the American people in general so the ruling elite .01% can get richer and more powerful.

Or is it those in the ultranationalist, far rightwing media like Fox'news', Coulter, Limbaugh, Ingraham, Alex Jones etal need Trump to keep the wall in the headlines to further increase their profits and get Trump to follow their white nationalist agenda.

Good to see the U.S is not rushing to leave until the position of the Kurds is at least more secure. I would not be trusting Turkey on this point at all. .The U.S is going to have to take their own measures to provide for the security of their Kurdish allies before they leave.

The fixation of the region (particularly Turkey and Iraq) with the Kurds will continue to fuel strife.  Best option, let them create their own state.

I agree, but the US, Russia, Syria, Turkey, Iran and Iraq all want their oil.

The U.S is going to have to take their own measures to provide for the security of their Kurdish allies before they leave

Trump's shown he cares two rat's for allies.

As I mentioned a few days ago, good luck trying to get Turkey on-board to that - such issues should've been the ones tackled with before announcing an abrupt pull-out (that's like putting the cart before the horse)

Bolton seems to have that change of mind................ after meeting Netanyahu, who's against the pull-out

The Party of War has made it perfectly clear that they'd be willing to commit treason rather than give up on one of their 'regime change' wars, no matter how clearly it was a lost cause, decades ago, and did so under a previous President.

That their representatives are trying again, under this President, is no surprise.
