"The mentality that regards a drop of oil as more valuable than a drop of blood does not see anything but its own interest in Syria and everywhere in the world."

Nutshell. Global big oil and global big defense industries plus of course their global financial backers don't care one rat's for the 99%.

Fossils running the fossil economy.

Conservation and alternatives to burning such huge amounts of oil and gas!

But I guess that guys like PT would be happier if the madness and killing

resulting from global powers like the US, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Iran fighting wars for control of oil, gas and their shipment would end.

I'd definitely be happier.

But Russia's reforming its empire via its Eurasian Economic Union financed by sales of oil and gas so I doubt that will happen any time soon.

The best hope for peace is for the world to stop burning so much oil and gas, conserve energy, and find alternatives to power vehicles and generate electricity.

In the meantime, let's thank Russia for bringing and keeping the peace in Syria.

Four plus years ago Russian posters and their fellow global alt rightists said the same thing. As long as there are foreign occupying forces in Syria - invited or not - there's little chance for peace.

Vlad and Erdogon get to begin their ethnic cleansing campaign - and both say "Thank you Donnie!"

Yeah, we should stay in Syria indefinitely. Riiiiiiiight.

And they were right. Compare the situation in Syria four years ago, when the whole country was on the brink of collapse, with the situation now. Four plus years ago global alt leftists were crowing about another quagmire like Afghanistan.

As long as there are foreign occupying forces in Syria - invited or not

Uninvited should go first.

@lincolnman

America retreating on the world stage

Good for America, good for the world.

Bad for America, bad for the world; good for Russia thanks to Putin's stooge in the White House and his Russian brainwashed supporters who put him there...

Bad for America

Iraq and Afghanistan not enough for you?

bad for the world

Why?

thanks to Putin's stooge in the White House

You have proof? Contact immediately Mueller, FBI or a nearest doctor.

his Russian brainwashed supporters

Millions of people brainwashed by KGB agents? Right, of course. No further questions, I got your picture of the world.

Northeast Syria was stable before US Pres. Trump created chaos

In what universe??? Maybe you wanted to say "Syria was stable before US Pres. Obama created chaos", in which case I would agree, but advise to do some proofreading before posting.

Exactly. And Damascus in the hands of Caliphate would have the given the jihadi radicals world-wide a boost the likes of which we have never seen before. Sane people are glad that this Obama/Clinton created catastrophe has been avoided.

Tell us, once the Syrian Kurds took control of Northeast Syria from ISIS, what's the biggest news to come out of there ever since? How many US soldiers have died? Did people even care about what Baghdadi would do anymore?

No, the biggest news coming out by then was just if the native countries would take back their ISIS citizens imprisoned by the Kurds. Other than that, the Kurds pretty much had the area under control. It was stable.

Come talk to me after Putin's goons get out of Georgia, Ukraine, and Crimea...

bad for the world

How about the Army of Russian IRA trolls - perhaps you know a few of them?

FSB - you need to read more....may I suggest you start with the Mueller report...begin with the part "Sweeping and systemic"...

Come talk to me after Putin's goons get out of Georgia, Ukraine, and Crimea...

There is a number of goons who wait for that, welcome to the club. And nice to see you admit that Crimea is not Ukraine.

Anything good got Russia is bad for the world...

For your own small world, may be, but in the real big world the situation is different. Russia did a lot to bring peace and stability to Syria, something the U.S. failed miserably to do in Afghanistan and Iraq.

How about the Army of Russian IRA trolls - perhaps you know a few of them?

I know a number of anti-Trump trolls, they are here on daily basis.

I suggest you start with the Mueller report

Rrrright, I see, the bottom line is that the U.S. is some kind of banana republic where several foreign agents with ads can choose a president? Don't make your great country a laughing stock.

"There is a number of goons" - your English language grammar translator is turned off...

Did better than you (Russia) did in Afghanistan...

Tell them I said hello...

Read it or not, I could care less...
