whether you like it or not, this (together with China,s trade deal) is a big win for the Trump administration ...

Yes, I remember the crowds at his rallies howling "RE-NAME NAFTA! RE-NAME NAFTA! RE-NAME NAFTA!"

Rip up NAFTA, "renegotiate" an almost entirely similar new trade deal, declare a great victory for Emperor Grandpa. Thunderous applause across Rube County USA.

Trump made renegotiating NAFTA a centerpiece

Has anyone heard whether Trump/Ivanka/Jared Inc will move their various manufacturing facilities from Mexico (China, Bangladesh and elsewhere) to the US as a result?

Yes, Trump Inc is all in.

On foreign manufacturing.

That “giant sucking sound” part 2.

With so much legal bribery in Congress, there is no way trade deals will benefit the working/middle class of the US and Canada when the partner country has 5x’s cheaper labor.

I see Big Pharma got an extension for drug patents as well.

Huge win! Bipartisan support. Another promise made and kept! Of course all the failed 2020 Dems plus Schumer and Bernie voted against it.

It’s a done deal.

When you struck a deal on a written contract with your trading partner and 25 years later his son come back knocking on your door and said: 'Hey Mr! The deal you signed with my father in 1995 was not fair enough, I am sorry to tell you this...but a quarter century has passed, we should re-negotiate that deal and correcting those unfairness all these years has occured on us or I am going to do XXX to you!'

Which university could lectured you the above negotiating skills ?  The Trump University!

but leaves $1.2 trillion in annual U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade flows largely unchanged.

Signature Trump.

NAFTA is dead, long live NAFTA

This is about 90% NAFTA - take it as ya will

(Got a feeling that a couple decades from now, the US will once again demand to renegotiate the deal)
