FBI sent an informant to talk to two Trump campaign advisers, Page and George Papadopoulos, after the agency received evidence that the two men had suspicious contacts linked to Russia during the campaign.

I'm usually suspicious of FBI tactics, but when a person like Trump with his dodgy, probably criminal past is linked to shady involvements with Russia and who knows how many other nations, as well as crime families in the US and abroad, I’m glad the feds investigated. Trump could not be seen by them or any other law enforcement agency as just joe-citizen.

Lock him up! Along with others from his crime syndicate before they destroy the remaining bits of US democracy and sell the country further down the drain to homegrown and foreign oligarchs - and kleptocrats.

Regardless of US political party affiliation, if the feds find anyone who's been involved illegally with foreign powers trying to influence US politics, I hope justice is served. And yes, I'm well aware the US has been nasty in dealing with other nation's politics. A wrong is a wrong.

We are repeatedly running into a surprising lack of laws that restrict the power of the Presidency. Time and time again Trump oversteps "normal bounds" that prior Presidents have stayed within because they were, quite frankly, honorable and/or rational persons.

Post-Trump we need to have a serious discussion about defining these norms in legislation. The next Trump is out there ...

Maybe if Trump didn’t hire money launderers and agents of foreign governments, he wouldn’t end up stepping into FBI surveillance so often.

Neither Trump nor his new lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, provided any evidence of government infiltration into Trump’s presidential campaign.

Trump doesn’t need evidence. He just needs a base who does what they are told.

How will America be healed, after Trump? After the cronyism, the lies, the corruption, the bullying?

It's a tough one. The man has disgraced the office of President and twisted the public face of leadership beyond all recognition. The influence of Russia, Israel and Saudi Arabia etc must not be taken lightly. They are also to blame for the decline and decay of the US.

19 people so far indicted.

Shocking.

DOJ and FBI are all going to have a meeting with John Kelly and show Congress all the related documents as required. Good start.

Yeah all this nonsense about everyone “gonna flip” on Trump. Gonna be a sad day in liberal-land when Bruce Ohr, Lisa Page and Andrew McCabe actually do flip.

There is no pardon in their future so I’m sure they are singing away.

Days after the FBI began investigating the Trump campaign, an important meeting with "agency people" was held with FBI agent Peter Strzok in attendance.

Strzok texted FBI lawyer Lisa Page after the meeting that someone told him: "the [Obama] White House is running this."

The Trumpettes sure love their anointed lamb. A thousand reasons why other Democrats or Republicans should be investigated/disbelieved/etc. but vehement disgust when a proven bully/pathological liar is called to terms. Weird. You would think that Americans would quest for better representatives of the country that brought you free speech, the right to bear arms, seperation of church and state, seperation of powers... Instead, the Trumpettes rally and troll against all of these ideal in the name of someone who can't even admit that his inauguration drew less people than Obama. Bizarre. I warned my children (now adults, though) that all people who lie unnecessarily are evil, that, short of lying to evil people to save your own life, one must walk the high road. Whatever do you teach your children when you are not wading through the lies of your anointed lamb, Trumpettes?

Chalk up another victory for President Trump, our greatest CinC in this century. . . .

Not sure how rampant corruption, unsuitable staff and re-stocking the swamp in the Trump administration can be hailed as a victory.

Wait and see what is about to happen. Then you will know.

President Trump’s tweet demands the investigation to include all Obama administration departments and personnel, not just FBI/DOJ. So CIA (Brennan) and NI(Clapper) plus Lynch, Clinton and even Obama are now included in the third IG report. And judging from DOJ’s immediate response the efforts are coordinated.

We are moving into the final phase of exposing the swamp, and should enter into the actual draining the swamp phase through indictments, arrests, and prosecutions.

And to think, the Deep State and the democrats joined forces to start the IG investigation so they could weaponize it when "Madam President" won, and now it's boomeranging on them.

Oh, the irony. . . . .

Why don’t you just tell us what is about to happen?

That would ruin the ending, it is going to be glorious.

@Texas: And to think, the Deep State and the democrats joined forces to start the IG investigation so they could weaponize it when "Madam President" won, and now it's boomeranging on them.

I have to admit I love seeing this all whiplash back on the Obama Administrations lackeys. As more evidence comes out of the use of government resources and law enforcement to go after first the campaign, president-elect, and then president Trump the top people like Brendan, Clapper, Lynch, and Powers are lashing out more and more. Their insurance policy failed, Trump beat the unbeatable Hillary and all of their machinations are now subject to exposure.

Not only did the Obama Justice Department seek intel on the Trump campaign without warning him of the possibility of compromised staff, at least one source, Halper, lobbyed vigorously for a job inside the administration (eg mole). Evidence is coming out of more potential FBI informant/spies.

Maybe Rosenstein’s quick capitulation in tasking the DOJ inspector general to investigate abuses during the campaign means he is finally starting to realize the jig is up. If there is anything substantive in the imminent IG report on the mishandling of the Clinton email server investigation the Feds will have little sympathy with the public.

"Special Counsel Robert Mueller"

Oh my...

Mark Levin: Appointment of Mueller is unconstitutional

Well there’s a new one. Trumpians are saying Trump’s appointment of Mueller is unconstitutional. Weird that they are arguing that their president went against the constitution.

Mark Levin: Appointment of Mueller is unconstitutional

He’s right as usual.

19 people so far indicted.

Manafort, Flynn (for lying) one Dutchman (for lying) Papadopoulos, 13 Russians (that aren’t even in the country) ok, so of all the insignificant lies, what do they really have? Yaaaawn....
