Trump and Epstein had a very special relationship.

And the other interesting thing is Trump had a modeling agency, and Epstein also had a stake in a modeling agency, which they suspect he used to bring in underage girls from overseas." "There is a comment in one of the court files where Epstein is quoted as saying, 'I want to set up my modeling agency the same way Trump set up his modeling agency,'" Brown continued. "I don't know what that means, but it is curious he was trying to do something similar to Trump."

"I've known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side."

-- Donald Trump

Bill Clinton flew on Epstein's Lolita Express half a dozen times.

Trump never flew on it.

A good buddy of Trump's, despite his denials. This is the kind of sick man Trump (another very, very sick man) might pardon, all the while railing about how even American-born Congresswomen are evil foreigners who should leave. This guy should NOT get bail, and the fact that he had illegal passports for various countries and a bunch of other illegal stuff proves he has not been abiding by the laws. If he gets bail, he'll run, guaranteed. He has nothing to lose by doing so.

How on earth did Epstein amass $559,120,954?

What an intriguing case!

Indeed, nobody seems to know where/how this so-called hedge-fund manager / financier got his money.

I do not believe anyone wants to take away his right to bail and his ability to defend himself because of his money or that "fligh risk" excuse. I believe its actually because he is a man accused of the number one sex crime on the minds of Americans; sex with the underaged. And its not on their minds for only the reasons they claim either. I don't want to say the shock, horror and outrage are not real, but though it may seem paradoxical, the jealousy is from the same people. So many men have been accused and torn apart in the press that if it were simply outrage, everyone would have gotten sick of the subject by now. After all, look how Americans turn a blind eye toward the needless wars and their results in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya and all the REAL horror of dead children in Yemen with American bombs. Spare me the outrage narrative. Its as transparent as a freshly washed window.

Epstein is scum. Needs to be locked up forever. But he is the centre of a very nasty web of intrigue and filth, and has been for decades. Lots of speculation about his motives, his backers, and so on.

The Florida situation from early 2000s is case in point. The local prosecutors and state attorney were scared to charge him with anything, even though all the crimes he was accused of were local and state crimes. Acosta, as the federal attorney, had little to do with the case as Epstein wasn't charged with federal crimes. He was at least able to put him away for a year and a half.

The Trump angle is interesting. Epstein made a point of meeting and befriending powerful people in government and business. This was reciprocated- just the way business is done in those circles. But Trump actually kicked Epstein out of his golf club for his crude behavior towards the female staff.

Lots of people not sleeping well in Washington and New York these days...

Epstein's definitely a flight risk because of his great wealth and connections with other rich & powerful people who may have participated in Epstein's enterprise.

If the U.S. president is involved or those close to the president are, then it's urgent to get to the bottom of it. A few months ago there was a photo taken of Trump with a wealthy female sex trafficker, also from Florida, so let's see if there's more to this mess than just the ugly crime itself.

Seems to me the Epstein case is being played down quite a bit in the media, in favor of what Trump wants us to talk about --- his incendiary tweets.

We cannot let the powers that be redirect our attention off of this *** Epstein. Epstein needs to stay right where he is, four cells down from El Chapo, while he awaits his day in court.

Berman said he would probably announce his bail decision on Thursday at 9:30 a.m., saying he needed more time to absorb the case.

Pardon my cynicism, but given all the people Epstein has bought off, I hope this doesn't mean the judge needs more time to see how much Epstein will offer him.

Maybe the best thing about the exposure of corruption during the Trump era is more and more people will start to accept how much corruption exists, especially at the highest levels of business.

No one, regardless of wealth and connections, is above the law.

Drain the swamps.

The hedge fund manager had a social circle that over the years has included Donald Trump before he became U.S. president, former President Bill Clinton and Britain's Prince Andrew.

Ah, that explains the crazed tweets and deflection this last 24 hours.

Lock them up. All of them.

Don't give him bail. He has a lot of money and one powerful friend.
