Heh.

Tick tock....

28 ( +29 / -1 )

Eight is the number. Manafort found guilty on 8 counts. And Cohen pled guilty on 8 felony charges .... allocuting “in coordination and at the direction of a candidate for federal office”. DTS.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Awesome. That’s 5 of Trump’s people we have as guilty so far. Lots of jail time coming while Hillary walks free with book deals!!

21 ( +23 / -2 )

From the BBC :

President Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen has pleaded guilty in a Manhattan court to violating campaign finance laws.b

He said he did so at the direction of "the candidate", acting for the "purpose of influencing the election".

Whoops!

And I thought sex worker Stormy Daniels would bring trump down.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Justice. Now let's see the dominoes start to fall more, and more, and more.

Then again, truth isn't truth, so a conviction isn't a conviction in some people's eyes.

17 ( +18 / -1 )

As expected, Trump’s reaction; Feels bad for Manafort (a former Trump campaign chairman); is a good man, it’s not about me; blah blah not about Russian collusion, disgrace, witch hunt, outrageous blah blah and ignored questions about Cohen.

No worries Trump supporters; Republicans in Congress are too scared of Trump to even investigate let alone impeach. If this were a Democrat president they’d impeach in a heartbeat.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

That's it? I thought this plea bargain was supposed to bring down Trump.

It's a few technicality charges against a some washouts and totally unrelated to Russia or Trump.

Total complete dud.

Enjoying watching Mueller's impotence.

Haha. Trump is untouchable.

-24 ( +2 / -26 )

doesnt change a thing, except for Manafort and Cohen personally.

-23 ( +2 / -25 )

It's coming......

9 ( +11 / -2 )

doesnt change a thing, except for Manafort and Cohen personally.

It takes away the Red's ability to claim this is a witch hunt.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Q. What do they call somebody who gets convicted on 8 of 18 felony counts?

A. A convicted felon.

Weather Forecast

Severe tweet storm watch .. Tweet gusts up to 100 words per minute accompanied by wrong spelling and ALL CAPS.

21 ( +21 / -0 )

"Totally unrelated to Russia or Trump?"

https://edition.cnn.com/2018/08/21/politics/read-michael-cohen-plea-deal/index.html

Oops. Oh wait, it was just an unnamed "candidate or campaign for federal office."

I mean, how many of Cohen's clients were candidates for Federal office between 2012 and 2016 or so?

13 ( +14 / -1 )

totally unrelated to Russia or Trump.

Ah... You either missed it or you’re spinning. Trump would be the “candidate for federal office” referred to “at the direction of”. So hardly “totally unrelated” to Trump. In fact, directly related to Trump.

Only reason Trump isn’t indicted is that he’s a sitting president.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

One of the few hopes for maintaining the shards of US democracy remaining rests with the judiciary. Another is allowing the US intelligence agencies to properly investigate and prosecute all crimes, including white collar crimes, and especially those crimes that involve foreign governments, their intelligence agencies and their criminals.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

@blackla doesnt change a thing, except for Manafort and Cohen personally.

@burnngbsh Total complete dud.

The Black Knight defense: 'Tis but a scratch'.

18 ( +18 / -0 )

Nail them all for every proven charge. All of them. Go after anyone that smells funny, regardless of position, friends, or political party.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

The Fox News comment section is in full meltdown.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

doesnt change a thing, except for Manafort and Cohen personally

Pretty much.

No worries Trump supporters; Republicans in Congress are too scared of Trump to even investigate let alone impeach. If this were a Democrat president they’d impeach in a heartbeat.

Why would they impeach the President? On what grounds? Because it’s a political witch hunt? Because it makes the Democrats feel good? Lol

You guys always tickle me.

-20 ( +2 / -22 )

Sooo, Stormy Daniels is a Russian spy? I don't get it.

-14 ( +1 / -15 )

Cohen was forced to say the statement about a “candidate” to get his plea deal to save his own skin for his own crimes.

know why he couldn’t say “trump”? Because a judge and a jury didn’t evaluate that claim for truthfulness. Remember when all liberals said Cohen was a liar? I do.

So the crime belongs to Cohen for making an illegal contribution just because he said he did.

The last administration also had a lot of illegal contributions and no one on the left blamed the President at the time for those.

-20 ( +0 / -20 )

Sooo, Stormy Daniels is a Russian spy? I don't get it.

I assume it must be a challenge for those who only follow alt right media to keep up.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

Still not one single thing about Russia. trump was not even mentioned in either case. So he is guilty of hiring bad employees I guess. Kinda ruins his “I only hire the best people” boast. But other than that, moving on.

-22 ( +0 / -22 )

That's it? I thought this plea bargain was supposed to bring down Trump.

The only people who ever said that were the Reds. Everyone else has been very clear that this trial was not linked to Trump's campaign.

But this does show that Mueller's investigation is most definitely not a witch hunt, and has already been extremely productive.

The wind from the tweetstorm of little-hands and little-ego Trump will be felt even in Japan. He's going to lose it.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Sooo, Stormy Daniels is a Russian spy? I don't get it.

Stormy Daniels was never mentioned once in regards to this trial, so you are definitely not getting something.

Is the right purposefully this obtuse, or do the just fake it REALLY well?

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Still not one single thing about Russia.

See my above point. This trial was never reported to be about Russia. But it does entirely legitimize the Mueller investigation.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

PTownsend: I assume it must be a challenge for those who only follow alt right media to keep up.

Some of them even thought Manafort was on trial for the crime of being rich. It’s amazing how off they are.

Black: Still not one single thing about Russia

Here it is again. This one was told the trial was about Russia. Where are these people getting so much fake news?

12 ( +12 / -0 )

Here it is again. This one was told the trial was about Russia. Where are these people getting so much fake news?

Fake news is real, but there is only one source: Trump.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Manafort and Cohen: LOCK THEM UP! LOCK THEM UP!

The leadership of our country is currently completely filled with criminals.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

If the trial wasn’t about Russia OR Trump how can It legitimize Mueller?

so it’s a good day for Team “we hate Trump” for sure. Now you have more justification in your mind for your own hate. Trump haters still hate him and non trump haters still don’t.

But for non Trump haters nothing has changed. Still patiently waiting for Russian election interference directly linked to Trump winning.

-18 ( +1 / -19 )

I assume it must be a challenge for those who only follow alt right media to keep up.

Stormy Daniels was never mentioned once in regards to this trial, so you are definitely not getting something.

Silly me for thinking sarcasm would be understood by some on here.

-18 ( +0 / -18 )

If the trial wasn’t about Russia OR Trump how can It legitimize Mueller?

Look at how many indictments, guilty pleas, and now a guilty charge the investigation has produced. It's very clearly an effective investigation.

so it’s a good day for Team “we hate Trump” for sure.

It sure is! LOCK THEM UP!

Now you have more justification in your mind for your own hate.

Yeah - guilty pleas showing everyone he picks is dirtier than a white horse that fell in their swamp. It's about as solid justification as you can get.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Kinda ruins his “I only hire the best people” boast.

It's only a start. Is the cult of Trump coming to an end? Trump followers still think he is a great man even though he is completely racist. He is on tape saying the N-word, and many other instances of him being racist.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Cohen was forced to say the statement about a “candidate” to get his plea deal to save his own skin for his own crimes.

What are you talking about? Are you Russian? Do you not know how our justice system works? No one can force someone to take a plea, and no one can force someone to say something they don't want to in that plea. If he said it, it's because he wanted to. He's guilty as sin, and even he admits it!

11 ( +12 / -1 )

The first paragraph applies to a whole lotta people in both political parties. Al Sharpton, the Clinton Foundation, Al Gore. Will they ever suffer consequences? Nope. They’re Liberal.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

Silly me for thinking sarcasm would be understood by some on here.

Oh I saw it for the gas-lighting it was. But your Red-tactics are useless in a logical world.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Kinda ruins his “I only hire the best people” boast.

Yes, Trump hires wife beaters and white supremacists. Also, he hired garbage like his sons and Jared (never heard him talk, but I heard he sounds like Mickey Mouse)

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Nope. They’re Liberal.

Ha ha, burn on you Trump supporters. Go deep state. President Hillary rules. President Hillary and her evil forces made Manafort become a criminal. Trump cannot fight her evil powers. Ha ha, burn on Trump cultists.

If the trial wasn’t about Russia OR Trump how can It legitimize Mueller?

Ooh, look at the propaganda woven into this line. It's so deep in Trumpster mythology that it assumes Mueller to be in need of being legitimized. Without ever providing the slightest bit of evidence that Meuller lacks legitimacy, it demands the public defend him when his work isn't even finished or open to public review. It would be a beautiful work of persuasive writing if it weren't also 100% evil.

GOP Rep. Duncan Hunter, Wife Indicted On Campaign Finance Fraud Charges

Fraud charges for everyone! And you get fraud charges! And you get fraud charges! And you get fraud charges!

The party of law and order. LOL!

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Black: so it’s a good day for Team “we hate Trump” for sure

Um, how about a good day for justice? And guess what, that means we all won, even you.

Still patiently waiting for Russian election interference directly linked to Trump winning.

And the rest of us will be waiting for more information from the investigation into Russian meddling and any crimes that are found during the investigation. As I understand it you’re waiting patiently for one specific part? No law against that.

Five guilties on Trump’s team so far. Yet his side continues to be the side that fights for truth against all of the crooked FBI/DOJ deep state players.

15 ( +16 / -1 )

Without ever providing the slightest bit of evidence that Mueller lacks legitimacy

Trump approved him, and Trump people think he is a product of the deep state and President Hillary. Trump people. You elected garbage, you could have elected a normal Republican who would at least respect the system of the United States government. You got caught up in a cult.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

So no one is claiming anymore that all these crimes are supposed to lead back to Russia and Trump?

Mueller=Russia right? Or does he simply exist now to attempt to make Trump look bad that a couple of his 100,000 employees in his lifetime didn’t file accurate taxes?

All of that couid have been handled by regular court system if it doesn’t lead back to Trump or Russia or their election interference. Which it doesn’t.

-18 ( +1 / -19 )

Today is day I will never forget;

A sitting President of the United States was just named as a co-conspirator in a felony/

15 ( +15 / -0 )

Trumpy will be pardoning him.....

Fraud charges for everyone! And you get fraud charges! And you get fraud charges! And you get fraud charges!

DRAIN THE SWAMP! LOCK THEM UP!

11 ( +11 / -0 )

So no one is claiming anymore that all these crimes are supposed to lead back to Russia and Trump?

Only you gaslighters.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Mueller=Russia right?

Mueller = investigate and recommend charges, wherever they be found.

And look, Trump's main men guilty as sin!

12 ( +12 / -0 )

So no one is claiming anymore that all these crimes are supposed to lead back to Russia and Trump?

Mueller doesn't care either way.

regular court system

Please define this

5 ( +6 / -1 )

The first paragraph applies to a whole lotta people in both political parties. Al Sharpton, the Clinton Foundation, Al Gore. Will they ever suffer consequences? Nope. They’re Liberal.

No it doesn't. The only person it refers to is the one who was found guilty by a jury:

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was found guilty on Tuesday on eight charges of tax and bank fraud and failing to disclose foreign bank accounts, after a jury said it could not reach consensus on the other 10 charges against him.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

@Blacklabel

So no one is claiming anymore that all these crimes are supposed to lead back to Russia and Trump?

There is no attorney-client privilege if the attorney and client were committing crimes together. A panel of judges went through everything collected and decided this is exactly what was going on. Trump is going down.

No one has to prove collusion, but it will be that Dump is a criminal in some way shape or form. Justice must be served. Crime is crime! Or is it? Let's ask Rudy!

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Trumpy will be pardoning him.....

Not that simple. There is the strong potential of state crimes and these prosecutors will use evidence collected by Mueller and his team. State crimes cannot be pardoned. Even if Trump pardons him the wolves of state prosecutors will be lining up with blood thirst.

Trump hires garbage because Trump is garbage.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

so this guy was found guilty of crimes he committed and trump still thinks he’s a “good man “?

10 ( +10 / -0 )

If it comes out and it's all true, then so be it, but I don't think any of this looks at all like the smoking gun that a lot of you think it is.

I will say this, if somehow it does happen, I hope you all are looking forward to President Pence, because that's how it works.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

I hope you all are looking forward to President Pence, because that's how it works.

He literally believes in the Jesus zombie, but as long as he respects the system of he US government (unlike Trump) then the US will be OK. Do you know how Trump hired his main trade adviser? Mickey Mouse Jared went to Amazon.com and found him by browsing through books on trade. Can you believe that? As long as the Pence Jesus believer follows norms of the office of the President the world will be OK. As long as Pence hires normal people we can get back to normal relatively speaking. I can expect Pence to respect judges' decisions unlike Trump.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

And there’s your witch hunt. We gonna get that guy for something, don’t know what it is, and don’t care what it is, but something.

No one has to prove collusion, but it will be that Dump is a criminal in some way shape or form

-14 ( +1 / -15 )

For all this bank fraud: hiding income, securing handsome loans through deceit etc. they sure do get light sentences. A few short years for stealing millions of dollars.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

And the MI6 agent who created the Steele dossier just won his case in the US against the Russian oligarchs. The same dossier which was not the cause of the Russian investigation but Papadopoulos lying to investigators is now more credible.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Some of them even thought Manafort was on trial for the crime of being rich. It’s amazing how off they are.

If there was a reasonable doubt that Manafort is this so called criminal that the left try to paint him to be, the jury would have been able to easily convict him, that didn’t happen, which leads to believe the jury can see right through Mueller’s scheme.

The noose tightens. This is a battle for truth and democracy. We are about to see the elitists toppled.

If that were true then a lot of Dems would be indicted. But I could care less about Manafort of if Mueller tries to make Cohen compose to snare the President. Again, where is the crime. Seems like a good day for the President, a so, so day for Manafort and we shall see what Cohen will conjure up to save his soul.

A glorious day.

For the President so far, kinda.

-16 ( +0 / -16 )

Most Trump fans on Fox News are trying to play it dumb with confusion as to how this proves collusion with Trump and Russia, which is apparently their false interpretation of Mueller’s objectives.

Some know Mueller’s scope and are intentionally trying to mislead the others, but most appear to genuinely have zero understanding of what Mueller is investigating and are genuinely confused as to how this proves collusion.

That’s one tight little bubble.

13 ( +13 / -0 )

Not such " a very good person" after all, then.

I wonder how much more support Trump (the hush money authoriser) will give the convicted fraudster?

8 ( +8 / -0 )

If there was a reasonable doubt that Manafort is this so called criminal that the left try to paint him to be, the jury would have been able to easily convict him, that didn’t happen

Yes it did. He's guilty guilty guilty guilty guilty. He's a certified criminal.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

@Blacklabel

And there’s your witch hunt. We gonna get that guy for something, don’t know what it is, and don’t care what it is, but something.

It isn't a witch hunt if it is true! You follow the crimes where they lead you.

Are you stating that some people should be above the law? No equality?

12 ( +12 / -0 )

For the President so far, kinda.

Yes, dear leader has been caught out supporting a fraudster and caught out for lying about knowing nothing about the Stormy Daniels thing. Now we know (as if there was any doubt) he authorised the hush money.

A great day for the American people who will soon be rid of the tyrant and liar.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

If it comes out and it's all true, then so be it, but I don't think any of this looks at all like the smoking gun that a lot of you think it is.

Who was saying it was a smoking gun?

I will say this, if somehow it does happen, I hope you all are looking forward to President Pence, because that's how it works.

Better Pence than Trump.

Pence may be the one member of the swamp that, despicable as he is, might not actually be guilty of anything other than being a vile human being.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

@bass4funk

If there was a reasonable doubt that Manafort is this so called criminal that the left try to paint him to be, the jury would have been able to easily convict him, that didn’t happen, which leads to believe the jury can see right through Mueller’s scheme.

Or it means that average Joe doesn't know or understand US tax laws very well because if they did then a lot of accountants and lawyers would be out of business.

extankerToday  08:39 am JST

I will say this, if somehow it does happen, I hope you all are looking forward to President Pence, because that's how it works.

I always hate when people try to play this argument line, because it implies the public should accept criminality from the government if it leads to keeping other people we don't like from getting into office.

I hate Pence. He is a backwards, morally-corrupt idiot who dresses up with fundamentalist religious dogma. I also look forward to him inheriting the remainder of Trump's presidency after Trump is impeached, because showing the laws of the United States apply even to the President is more important than getting a leader whose politics I respect. We need justice right now, and should never encourage talk of sacrificing it for political expediency.

Besides, Pence is contemptible in many ways, but one thing we can be fairly sure of is that he won't have the audacity to openly commit crimes the way Trump does. The only way impeachment would happen is with a November blue wave, so I'm fairly confident any circumstances that would give us a President Pence would also give us a Congress more than able to hold him in check.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Technical note: As Manafort was not found innocent of the remaining ten charges, instead the jury having failed to reach a unanimous decision, prosecutors have the option of refiling the charges for a new trial.

One wonders what will happen. The charges he faces in his DC trial are much more serious - and more directly tied to Trump. Perhaps they'll bide their time to see if it's worth their effort.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

We gonna get that guy for something, don’t know what it is, and don’t care what it is, but something.

Yep! Personally I don't care which of his crimes they get him for. He's actually a criminal, unlike Hillary who they tried to label a criminal, yet couldn't even get a trial, much less a guilty verdict.

Trump is going down. We're draining the swamp. Two pieces of the swamp just got drained right into prison.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Other speculation is about the status of the NDAs now that he’s admitted to a crime.

the jury would have been able to easily convict him

They convicted him fair and square.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

So two of the charges Cohen pleaded guilty to involved funneling money to two women Trump had had affairs with and was trying to silence (campaign finance violations, not to say quite sleazy), and his lawyer, Giuliani, says:

There is no allegation of any wrongdoing against the president in the government’s charges against Mr. Cohen. It is clear that as the prosecutor noted Mr. Cohen’s actions reflect a pattern of lies and dishonesty over a significant period of time.

Cohen's actions do indeed "reflect a pattern of lies and dishonesty over a significant period of time," but not just on his part.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

If that were true then a lot of Dems would be indicted

If that's true then it shows the extreme incompetence of Trump because he is the one who promised to arrest President Hillary. ha ha, Hillary is free, burn on Trump followers.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Trump boldly declared that he would drain The Swamp.

Instead, he has turned The Swamp into a Cesspool.

Mueller is starting to skim the Scum from the surface of Trump's Cesspool.

Soon, everyone will see clearly see all those lurking below the surface of Trump's Cesspool.

Then, Mueller will reach in, pull the plug, and flush all remaining inhabitants of Trump's Cesspool down the drain, and into oblivion.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Trump hires garbage because Trump is garbage.

That's because he only recognises, and feels comfortable in the company of, those made in his own image.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

"Heh.

Tick tock...."

Heh. You'll be tick tocking all the way to noon Jan.20, 2025.

When is Mueller going to go after the real criminals like Hillary Walking National Security Risk Clinton?

Mueller-Ocasio-Cortez 2020! ( guaranteed landslide win for Trump-Pence )

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

Found guilty of five counts of tax fraud, two of bank fraud, and one for failure to properly register a foreign bank account.

And none of this had anything to do with Trump at all.

It certainly had nothing to do with any of this bogus "Russian collusion" nonsense.

In fact, Manafort's convictions all involved acts committed prior to Trump ever even becoming a candidate for president.

They also involved acts that Mueller's investigation wasn't even looking into.

This sets a dangerous precedent -- instead of investigating crimes to find the people responsible, we now have powerful "special counsels" investigating people to see if they've committed a crime.

Investigating people rather than crimes? In what's supposed to be a constitutional republic, that's a very scary thing.

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

Found guilty of five counts of tax fraud, two of bank fraud, and one for failure to properly register a foreign bank account.

And none of this had anything to do with Trump at all.

And yet, we all know Trump is guilty as sin. LOCK HIM UP! DRAIN THE SWAMP!

6 ( +6 / -0 )

The number of dodgy characters surrounding Trump is absolutely staggering.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

It's coming......

Whats coming? please enlighten us. Trump will win the 2020 elections and your stuck with him for another 6 years.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

...instead of investigating crimes to find the people responsible, we now have powerful "special counsels" investigating people to see if they've committed a crime.

Hakman, you do not seem to understand. In the course of investigation, Manafort's crimes were uncovered. The case was then entirely handed over to the District Prosecutor of Virginia for a trial by jury. The jury has found him guilty on eight counts.

This really has nothing to do with the Mueller investigation. Manafort's actions really are no longer connected to Mueller's investigation; he broke the law multiple times with intent, and now a jury has instructed that he go to prison. That is how the system works.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

@serrano oh my so Manafort and Cohen have done nothing criminal they are not real criminals in Trumplets world......What about Hilary your still screaming that dude...is that all you got and no I am not asking for links to fox n friends or some loon supporter that keeps taking his shirt off...get over it shes doing some book signing somewhere....Hey grab your cheerios this is just starting to get real interesting...

3 ( +3 / -0 )

This is what will happen:

Trump will pardon Manafort and will call Cohen a liar.

And the Cult 45ers will be OK with that because in their moral universe Trump alone holds virtue and wisdom.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

I could care less about Manafort

Then why don't you?

10 ( +10 / -0 )

@serrano When is Mueller going to go after the real criminals like Hillary Walking National Security Risk Clinton?

It sounds like you're still saying laws are for peasants, that laws aren't for members of the global elite - criminal and not - like Manafort, Cohen, Flynn, and the criminals and presidents they serve.

If Hillary has committed a crime, why hasn't she been formally charged? You're not just deflecting hehe now, are you.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Whats coming?

The draining of the Trump-created cesspool. Trump is going to destroy his legacy, and end up in jail. He's guiltier than the Reds ever pretended Hillary was.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Move on with your lives people and stop wasting your time reading & writing about things you cannot control.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

Well, the “Ultimate Swamp Creature” meets justice - Paul Manafort, President Trump's former campaign chairman, found guilty on five counts of tax fraud, one count of failing to disclose his foreign bank accounts and two counts of bank fraud. Next month, he gets to sit in the docket again; for failing to register as a foreign lobbyist for a Ukrainian backed by Russia. Oh, and then there’s that little issue of witness tampering...

And not connected to Russia? Read the trial transcript - Manafort volunteered to work for free for the Trump campaign at a time when he was deep in debt and was caught red-handed (or, more accurately, red-emailed) asking how he could use his campaign status to “get whole” with a Russian oligarch to whom he was financially beholden.

You couldn’t make up a more disgusting swamp creature than this guy with his $5000 suits and his $3 million homes – all paid for by off-shore, non-declared, non-taxed money.

And he was handpicked by Trump to be his Lead Campaign Manager.

Birds of a feather flock together…

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Trump will pardon Manafort ....

That's an interesting scenario but unlikely, I think. Manafort still faces his DC federal trial, and also faces potential state trials, the latter of which Trump cannot pardon. Plus, pardoning Manafort means Trump throwing himself under the bus - there will be repercussions. (Anyway, I guess Manafort failed to cut a deal not because of Trump but because of Russia. Trump is a poodle compared with the people he's dealt with.)

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Trump will pardon Manafort

Doesn't matter:

Trump can pardon Mueller targets, but that won't prevent their prosecution in state court

(news source)

Trump can't pardon state criminals.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Yes, dear leader has been caught out supporting a fraudster and caught out for lying about knowing nothing about the Stormy Daniels thing.

Ok, so what’s the crime? What scheme can the Democrats come up with now?

Now we know (as if there was any doubt) he authorised the hush money.

So that’s a crime? It’s a treasonous crime paying hush money? Wow, the left are beyond desperate.

A great day for the American people who will soon be rid of the tyrant and liar.

2024 if they can find a good candidate, but it’ll probably be a socialist, so that might not happen.

-16 ( +0 / -16 )

What scheme can the Democrats come up with now?

This is up to Mueler. He is a Republican and he was approved by Trump. Not the democrats.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Or it means that average Joe doesn't know or understand US tax laws very well because if they did then a lot of accountants and lawyers would be out of business.

Most US citizens do know what socialism is though. Gee, why aren’t Dems winning. Marxist ideas complete failure.

Then why don't you?

I don’t, just making the comment how the left look like a bunch of hungry carp waiting desperately for a meal.

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

Most US citizens do know what socialism is though

If they live in Japan they experience government healthcare, including Trump people.

just making the comment how the left look like a bunch of hungry carp waiting desperately for a meal.

Mueler is not left.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

2024 if they can find a good candidate, but it’ll probably be a socialist, so that might not happen.

If Trump said socialism is a good thing, you’d do yet another screaming 180.

It’s not about ideology or ideas of right or wrong/legal or illegal now.

It’s about supporting Trump. Full stop.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Judge a man by the company he keeps. In Trump's case, the company is criminals.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

@Dang Bong the best economy in the history of the World is stretching it a bit there dude...but good try..wait to fed reserve raises interest rates all those tariffs kick in you will be singing a different tune then...he got handed a great economy give it 2 years of his presidency he will screw it up...just like he did his many businesses...Obama had one aid arrested for shooting her boyfriend and another arrested for taking upskirt pics...your really comparing that to this ROLF...

6 ( +6 / -0 )

@dangob This is the best economy in the history of the world,

'Stock market up' 'Jobs up'. The 21st century's version of 'He's making the trains run on time'.

While he's also undermining the judiciary, the intelligence agencies, attacking the free, for-profit press (which is fundamental to a properly functioning democracy), scrapping environmental regulations, cutting consumer protection programs, scrapping worker protection, using the White House for personal profit, hiring his own family members, among others.

Stand down Donnie, stand down!

6 ( +6 / -0 )

If Trump said socialism is a good thing, you’d do yet another screaming 180.

But that will never happen, the man epitomizes capitalism.

It’s not about ideology

Yes, it is exactly about ideology.

It’s about supporting Trump. Full stop.

Well, I wouldn’t support a socialist and I like his boot stomping in your face politics.

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

Most US citizens do know what socialism is though.

If they have had education provided by the state to the age of 18 free of charge, funded by tax payers, they probably could extrapolate the concept to other areas, such as healthcare.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Clearly just a witch hunt. Which is a big problem if your administration is staffed entirely by witches and you yourself are a witch.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Well, the “Ultimate Swamp Creature” meets justice - Paul Manafort, President Trump's former campaign chairman, found guilty on five counts of tax fraud, one count of failing to disclose his foreign bank accounts and two counts of bank fraud. Next month, he gets to sit in the docket again; for failing to register as a foreign lobbyist for a Ukrainian backed by Russia. Oh, and then there’s that little issue of witness tampering...

So what about Tony Podesta? Where is he? Why wasn’t he charged for essentially the same crime as Manafort for failing to register as a foreign lobbyist? Could it be....oh, I forgot, he gets a pass because he didn’t work for Trump, Manafort did, silly me.

And not connected to Russia?

Which has nothing to do with Trump.

You couldn’t make up a more disgusting swamp creature than this guy with his $5000 suits and his $3 million homes – all paid for by off-shore, non-declared, non-taxed money.

Ok so what the crime? I mean Bernie Madoff, I get it, he cheated people big time, Manafort was just being sneaky. Most of the Democrats are sneaky. Manafort will be fine. If he gets locked up, Trump will pardon him, but he might not even get to that point.

And he was handpicked by Trump to be his Lead Campaign Manager.

Birds of a feather flock together…

Well, the left picked a lot of crows. Lol

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Don’t trust polititions, lawyers or very rich people.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

But that will never happen, the man epitomizes capitalism.

Better stay in japan with cheaper government healthcare and no guns.

Manafort was just being sneaky

He was convicted by an appointee of Trump. Basically it means Trump is sending him to prison. But not Hillary (ha ha)

Trump will pardon him

Then the states will go after him (check above reference)

5 ( +5 / -0 )

If Trump said socialism is a good thing, you’d do yet another screaming 180.

--But that will never happen, the man epitomizes capitalism.

Which is a 180 from this:

Trump is just the GOP version of Obama, pure and simple. Hard on the BS, without any substance to back anything up, both love their inflated egos as well. With Obama we have socialism, with Trump it would be socialism-lite.

I'm sure you're capable of reversing yourself again if the Don calls you to.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

I'm sure you're capable of reversing yourself again if the Don calls you to

Sorry, but I didn’t reverse on anything, buddy. Both are true, but that’s not happening. Anything else?

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

the left picked a lot of crows. Lol

Yup, it's one real estate sleazebag turned reality TV star turned world leader pretend vs. an entire group of people who find his presidency dangerous to the fabric of democracy. Yup, it's the libs, left, socialist, "Democrat party", Hillary, Podesta, Maxine Waters, unpatriotic NFL players, Hollywood elite, deep state, fake MSM, corrupt "rouge" cops like Comey and Mueller and Stzrok -- all of them getting together to bring down an honorable man named Trump, a man who for the past four decades has been synonymous with integrity, honesty, and wholesome family values. smh, lol

8 ( +8 / -0 )

So what about Tony Podesta? Where is he? Why wasn’t he charged for essentially the same crime as Manafort for failing to register as a foreign lobbyist?

He's currently being investigated. We'll see what happens, so relax for a bit. You have to admit Podesta's connection to Trump is nonexistent, though. It makes perfect sense that Manafort was prioritized in an investigation concerning the Trump campaign.

Could it be....oh, I forgot, he gets a pass because he didn’t work for Trump, Manafort did, silly me.

So you have a problem with people getting a pass? You in the same post...

Manafort will be fine. If he gets locked up, Trump will pardon him, but he might not even get to that point.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

I didn’t reverse on anything, buddy. Both are true,

I see. Trump is both a socialist and the epitome of capitalism at the same time. Got it.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

Yup, it's one real estate sleazebag turned reality TV star turned world leader pretend vs. an entire group of people who find his presidency dangerous to the fabric of democracy. Yup, it's the libs, left, socialist, "Democrat party", Hillary, Podesta, Maxine Waters, unpatriotic NFL players, Hollywood elite, deep state, fake MSM, corrupt "rouge" cops like Comey and Mueller and Stzrok -- all of them getting together to bring down an honorable man named Trump, a man who for the past four decades has been synonymous with integrity, honesty, and wholesome family values. smh, lol

Pretty much.

-15 ( +0 / -15 )

Haha. Trump is untouchable.

i love these deniers theyd deny the world was round if it made their delusional reality more believable. Some people think Muellers stupid Like with any good investigation you start with all the small fish and work your way up the food chain, then when you get to the shark at the top you have so much irrefutable evidence no amount of whataboutim, alternate facts or fake news can drown out the truth. Trump most probably wont be impeached but his true colors and the type of people he associates with are laid bare for all to see, come 2020 well see if the American people think the Trump swamp has the moral high ground to warrant another 4 years. Personally I think the Trump swamp has thickened into quicksand and is swallowing the inhabitants faster than you can say , "I want to make a deal"

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Trump failed to come clean in his statement of campaign finances by omitting the payments Cohen made to Daniels, which Cohen says were made to influence the outcome of the campaign, which is yet another crime. Dead man walking.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

So Cohen wasn’t Mueller team at all but they “passed it on”. Manafort wasn’t Russia but a “pro Russia” Ukrainian. Whatever it takes to try to create a link.

The charges were brought by federal prosecutors in New York and were based off information that was passed along by Mueller's team of investigators.

Manafort's criminal conviction was related to his work for the pro-Russian former leader of Ukraine and not his service on the Trump campaign.

-15 ( +0 / -15 )

“I think impeachment is now squarely going to define the midterms,” said Rob Stutzman, a Republican strategist who has been critical of Mr. Trump. “It’s inescapable now that Democrats can legitimately raise that issue.”

He added, “There’s a lot of Republican members of Congress sitting in tough districts that are going to have to really think hard about how they’re going to finesse this in the days ahead.”

What makes it harder for Republicans, he said, is that this did not emerge from the Mueller inquiry. “This isn’t something from the deep state,” he said. “This is a classic B-team type of bumbling screw-up of covering up mistresses.”

And, he added, “It’ll be very hard to distance the president. You would assume that there’s legitimate evidence that the president was aware that those invoices were not for services rendered. You already have the one tape.”

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Somehow they are all getting “immunity” and ending up on the witness side testifying against Trump associates. Or getting probation for bank fraud.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Trump: I know nothing about it. You'll have to ask Michael Cohen.

Well, they asked him --- he pled TOTALLY GUILTY --- and now he is being fitted for a pair of orange overalls and will be joining Manafort as Flynn's NEW CELLMATES!

Isn't it funny? It's not Hillary who got locked up -- it's Trumpkins! Three, with many more to follow! LAUGH OUT LOUD!!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Ordering an associate to pay off a porn star to influence an election result is something he should get punished for. If it had been public before the election it would have lost a lot of religious right votes and so it might have altered the outcome.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Somehow they are all getting “immunity” and ending up on the witness side testifying against Trump associates.

Who are "they"? Can you name them?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Women was always his thing, sure it was uncomfortable to his wife, but the man loves women, always have, how many other Presidents had affairs? Women was his weakness, so what?

Sure, so what.

But it's not the womanising. It's the lying about it. The cover ups. The hush money. Lying to the public.

And then there's the abuser's lame responses that "nobody has more respect for women" than him.

Apart from the sexual assaults, the walking into changing rooms of teens, the rape allegations, the Jeffrey Epstein thing - nobody has more "respect", eh?

You don't sexually assault women if you respect them. You don't grab women by their genitals if you're a decent human being.

This is why the man and his core supporters are fundamentally filth.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Mr Bum, with due respect, Podesta's not being investigated; he has essentially pleaded guilty (to exactly which charges will be known soon). Manafort has not done the same likely due to the long reach of the Russian mafia arm and his calculation that Trump will free him. He still might flip for a reduced sentence (unlikely), and he still might end up with an inexplicable lethal accident in jail (more likely).Or perhaps he'll be allowed to rot.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Laguna, thanks for the clarification. I must have been looking at an old article.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Sure, so what.

Yes, exactly, so what’s the lefts point, they don’t have anything except rage and besides turning green and smashing little things, that’s about it.

But it's not the womanising. It's the lying about it. The cover ups. The hush money. Lying to the public.

And nothing impeachable, immorally wrong, sure.

And then there's the abuser's lame responses that "nobody has more respect for women" than him.

True, personally, I would have never given someone like her the time of day.

Apart from the sexual assaults, the walking into changing rooms of teens, the rape allegations, the Jeffrey Epstein thing - nobody has more "respect", eh?

Epstein? Seriously, he wasn’t the first President to hangout with the infamous lawyer, don’t go there it just makes liberal look worse than they already are with these feeble strikes.

You don't sexually assault women if you respect them. You don't grab women by their genitals if you're a decent human being.

You also don’t stab a man in the back that has supported you for 15 years, the point is, he’s a man, not perfect and with the metoo movement in full swing, virtually in the next 12 months there won’t be any men left if look at all the allegations that are coming out from men past and present if we go by the standards you are preaching.

This is why the man and his core supporters are fundamentally filth

Many of us feel the same about the Trump haters within the US.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

So I’m just going to throw this out here because it really bugs me. If Trump has broken laws and they prove it then I agree that he should be held accountable.

BUT to those of you who have talked about wanting to see laws applied to a president and he be punished, were you ok when Hillary was excused for violating her security clearance? Because she actually broke a very serious federal law by keeping classified documents unsecured, regardless of their content or her intent.

I’m not trying to excuse anything Trump might have done by saying ‘well Hillary did it too’ but I am genuinely curious if some of you will admit there is a double standard because one person was liked and one is disliked. I want to see people held accountable across the board, but I think many would disagree.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Still not a liberal... but I'm keeping that crow pie nice and piping hot Cult 45'ers.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Extanker: Legal clarity and intent. Hillary was never charged with a crime as, at the time she stored documents on a private server, that action was discouraged by regulation but not prohibited by law. Then there's intent. That she knew she was breaking the law and was doing so for malicious purposes was something any good lawyer figured they couldn't prove.

Manafort and Cohen, though - the laws were clear, they knew they were breaking them, and they did so for malicious purpose. That is why Manafort was convicted and Cohen has pleaded guilty.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

So what about Tony Podesta? Where is he? Why wasn’t he charged for essentially the same crime as Manafort for failing to register as a foreign lobbyist? Could it be....oh, I forgot, he gets a pass because he didn’t work for Trump, Manafort did, silly me.

Thanks for agreeing with me. Notice how these “What About” posters always leave off three words at the beginning; “Yes, that’s true…but what about….” I suggest just replying ‘Thanks for agreeing with me”.

Which has nothing to do with Trump.

Manafort – Campaign Manager – Admits asking for favors from a Russian oligarch who he owes money - Trump. Sorry I had to be so elementary.

Ok so what the crime? I mean Bernie Madoff, I get it, he cheated people big time, Manafort was just being sneaky. Most of the Democrats are sneaky. Manafort will be fine. If he gets locked up, Trump will pardon him, but he might not even get to that point.

What’s the crime? What about a conviction for tax and bank fraud do you fail to understand?  By the way, thanks for agreeing with me.

Well, the left picked a lot of crows. Lol

I haven’t the faintest idea what you are trying to say, but I suggest investing in companies making orange jump suits - they’ll be selling a lot here soon.

Today will go down as the day "Trump tanked" - his Campaign Chairman convicted of 8 felonies and admits to asking for favors from a Russian oligarch he's in hock to.  His personal attorney and "fixer" turns on him and testifies that he paid off porn stars and playboy bunnies on "behalf of the candidate" to influence the election.  He is now, as described on Fox News no less, an unindicted co-conspirator...   Bye-bye Donnie....

6 ( +6 / -0 )

And nothing impeachable, immorally wrong, sure.

And you're fine with him lying about not being with the women and lying about the hush money when he actually ordered it.

True, personally, I would have never given someone like her the time of day.

So you think the sexual assaults, the walking into changing rooms of teens, the rape allegations, the Jeffrey Epstein thing - nobody has more "respect", than Trump?

Epstein? Seriously, he wasn’t the first President to hangout with the infamous lawyer, don’t go there it just makes liberal look worse than they already are with these feeble strikes.

This is about the current PotUS, not Clinton. And I'm not a liberal. For the umpteenth time.

You also don’t stab a man in the back that has supported you for 15 years,

Bros before hos? Really, that's your defence for sexual assault?

the point is, he’s a man, not perfect and with the metoo movement in full swing, virtually in the next 12 months there won’t be any men left if look at all the allegations that are coming out from men past and present if we go by the standards you are preaching.

To be concerned about the sexual misdemeanours and assaults carried out by your president is now seens as preaching. I see. Good deflection but at the same time, shame on you.

Many of us feel the same about the Trump haters within the US.

That's understandable. The far right certainly enjoys its privileges and it feels threatened when the people start questioning treason, corruption, racism, lying to the American people and sexual assaults.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

@laguna

Thats just not true. Emails she had unsecured contained information that was classified ‘secret’ as well as ‘top secret’. Leaving that information unsecured is a violation of her security clearance.

The ‘intent’ thing was something that was used just for her. As far as I know, no one else had ever been excused for violating a security clearance because of ‘intent’. I mean really think about that for a second, if you allowed top secret information to leak out but you didn’t intend to do it, that’s excusable? Does that sound ok to you?

Trust me, I held a clearance much lower than hers and it was made very clear to me in the documents I had to sign that I would have been severely punished by law for the same actions. That’s the whole point of my question. And the downvotes show me the answer I expected. It’s a clear double standard.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Extanker, I know how you feel. A few points, though:

In your case, you were the one following the rules, not making them - and rules are different from law;

The only law Clinton might have violated is the Presidential Records Act of 1978; that, however, has not been updated to incorporate email usage, so the law here is unclear;

If she had clearly violated a law, she would have been prosecuted (Occam's razor);

Many other politicians have conducted official business via private mail address, thus skirting the Presidential Records Act (see GWB's address on his campaign server, for example, which he often used to conduct official business that was never archived);

The law should be updated clarify what is permissible and what is not;

In any extant, this has nothing to with the deep cloud of corruption enveloping the Trump administration.

I have grown tired of the argument that, because the SOSUS kept emails on a private server, all crimes of the current administration should be forgiven.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Thanks for agreeing with me. Notice how these “What About” posters always leave off three words at the beginning; “Yes, that’s true…but what about….” I suggest just replying ‘Thanks for agreeing with me”.

No, I just find it odd, both Manafort and Podesta working together should be charged the same, but because of Manfort’s association with Trump, Manafort gets indicted and Podesta walks, so once again, conservatives get prosecuted and liberals walk, nice and fair. Interesting.

Manafort – Campaign Manager – Admits asking for favors from a Russian oligarch who he owes money - Trump. Sorry I had to be so elementary.

Ok, so Manafort is in trouble, but it has nothing to do with Trump, try again.

What’s the crime? What about a conviction for tax and bank fraud do you fail to understand? By the way, thanks for agreeing with me.

I see, so Manafort will have to be patient and just read books in a cell for awhile until Trump pardons him. Stewart got pardoned, so Manafort’s got this!

I haven’t the faintest idea what you are trying to say, but I suggest investing in companies making orange jump suits - they’ll be selling a lot here soon.

Yes, by the looks of it, more dirty cops will be wearing it. Wonder if some of them will go to Pelican Bay, now that would be something worthwhile to watch.

No one except maybe Shep Smith said that. Lol By the way, what crime? Where’s the smoking gun? Uh-oh, the left are running out of things to catch the President on. Keep trying. Presidential pardons DO work.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

"If Hillary has committed a crime, why hasn't she been formally charged? "

The Clintons are a powerful political family. Plus AG Sessions is useless. If Judge Jeanine Pirro had been picked for AG, Hillary would be wearing an orange jumpsuit instead of those pantsuits now.

Mueller's now coming after the cleaning company on contract to Trump Tower. He's auditing their tax returns for undocumented mop handles and brooms. The janitors are facing 100 years in jail - unless they can recall any Russians lurking around Trump's office.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Four year old children often behave like Trump when they are guilty of something, walking into a room and immediately mentioning the thing he's guilty of.

bass4funk: "No one except maybe Shep Smith said that. Lol "

Nervous "lol"s out in full force, of course. You guys are sweating almost as much as Trump is. Can't blame you, since you can barely keep up the denial as it is. I know Rudy tried to inject a new line with the "Truth isn't the truth" nonsense for you guys to go head first even further into the sand, but we all know how that went.

Meanwhile Trump continues to call convicted criminals "good guys", the media (including you, bass, with the blogs!) the "enemy of the people", demanding terrorists like Putin be allowed back into the G8 while turning allies into enemies and punishing Americans, and engaging in treason, which you guys support! "LOL", indeed, bass.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I like his boot stomping in your face politics.

“If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—for ever.” - George Orwell, “1984”

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I want to see people held accountable across the board, but I think many would disagree. I agree when Trumps gone maybe Mueller can open a new investigation in Clinton if she guilty she can share a cell beside Trump, thats a small price to pay for keeping this cretin out of the oval office.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Heh, the Republicans are absolutely furious that they couldn't pin a crime on Hillary, yet their guys are dropping (into prison) like flies.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

"Heh, the Republicans are absolutely furious that they couldn't pin a crime on Hillary,"

Yeah, Jeff Recuse Myself Sessions is useless.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Yeah, Jeff Recuse Myself Sessions is useless.

thats it blame somebody else for Trumps failures,

Sessions know the legal process must be done until its completion, recusing himself just makes it so he cant be Trumps puppet over this process. If hes so useless why hasnt Trump fired him yet!? or does Trump know that putting a puppet in his place is just a way around the legal process which wont look favorable on him with both the Dems & Republicans just digging a deeper hole for himself.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Keep trying. Presidential pardons DO work. and Cohen has stated he doesnt want anything from Trump including a pardon. Seems like Muellers giving out better deals than even a Trump pardon. I love how many are already preparing themselves for Trump being found guilty. they seem to think its perfectly fine for a corrupt POTUS to pardon those around him and himself for illegal doings. I hope they realize a pardon cant stop voter backlash come next election.

Look I get it Trumps your guy and now his true colors are showing its hard to accept the fact that hes conned so many. I once thought Bill Cosby was a great guy , until he wasn't, he conned me but now I think hes a POS.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Cohen has stated he doesnt want anything from Trump including a pardon. Seems like Muellers giving out better deals than even a Trump pardon.

That's what I was thinking, but I read that apparently Cohen was so incensed by Trump kissing Putin's ass, that he has done a 180 and wants nothing to do with him now.

That said if I was facing jail, I'd probably take the pardon. Although maybe he can sell out Don the Con and avoid jail anyways. If he truly does have ideological differences with Trump due to Trump being the pawn of America's enemy, then not taking the pardon is the honorable thing to do.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Actually, it would be great if Cohen took the pardon, and then still sold out Don! In your face Trump!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I don’t buy that for a second! Either he has a gun to his head, doesn’t care about Federal prison or he has a gun to his head. There is No way on God’s green Earth that any sane person would object to a presidential pardon and would rather spend time in federal prison, there’s just No way.

but there is just a way as he clearly stated it to the media. See Mueller is clearly not as stupid as many think he is. Hes had plenty of time to prepare for any scenario Trump can throw his way. When you state Muellers got a gun to his head I hope you dont mean literally!? sorry didnt think so just thought Id check as the conspiracy theories are flowing hotter than lava recently its hard to keep up with them all.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

theres plenty of liberals and conservative that depress me and I dont consider myself affiliated to either party.

Same here.

I just see BS propaganda, hypocrisy, corruption & criminal doings for what it is .

As do I, but you see it on the Presidents side and I see it on the lefts side.

Its just this point in time Trump is amplifying it for the conservatives all the while taking the moral high ground lol

Yeah, the left would see it kinda like that.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Yeah, the left would see it kinda like that.

and like I just stated Im not left or right , at one point in time I would have voted for Bush Jnr but as history has taught us that would have clearly been a mistake

As do I, but you see it on the Presidents side

of course I see it on Trumps side it laid bare for all to see, even if only half of all the allegations, (many proven as fact) were true it makes the Trump swamp/quicksand looks like a trap swallowing the inhabitants straight into their local penitentiary

yeah well its nice to dream like Trump does but impeachment is unlikely , the end game is to pile up the poo most of it of Trumps making when it comes election day well see if the American people want more of the same murky Trump swamp or decide enough is enough and vote for someone whos has more integrity morals and a past that doenst look like an Alfred Hitchcock novel. This is becoming the new mantra of the Trump cultists - he lied, he cheated, he colluded, but its not impeachable... This will soon go the way of; "We didn't talk to Russians, we did talk to Russians but it was just about adoptions, etc. etc."
