"I do not know the Ambassador, but he is not liked or well thought of within the U.S.

According to what evidence?

Trump is out of his mind.

Trade minister Liam Fox, who is visiting Washington, told BBC radio he would apologise to Trump's daughter Ivanka, whom he was due to meet.

What? The disgraced Liam Fox apologising to unwanted Ivanka because the ambassador did his job? What nonsense is this?

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/theresa-may-cabinet-liam-fox-disgraced-mp-2011-defence-secretary-boris-johnson-back-into-frontline-a7136236.html

Two months ago, May fired defence minister Gavin Williamson after secret discussions in the National Security Council about Chinese telecoms firm Huawei were leaked to the media, and an inquiry concluded that he was responsible.

More nonsense. Gavin Williamson left the meeting, leaked the contents to a journalist by phone and the NSA flagged the call because it contained so many keywords. The NSA traced the number and were stunned to find it belonged to a British government minister. May was informed and she immediately fired Williamson. The Tories leak like a sieve but it was the NSA's global eavesdropping that caught Williamson.

it was the Queen who I was most impressed with!"

Trump is once again showing his disdain for any aspect of any form of democracy. He's a royal wannabe who wants to be uber rich and all powerful like neo-Tsar Vlad.

Trump knows the greatest obstacles to his ascending the throne he wants to sit in are the checks and balances built into US systems. And that's why he keeps trying to undermine them.

The so-called "special relationship" is disintegrating. Perhaps this is a good thing, as it's been an abusive one for a long time - the various incumbents of No. 10 desperately trying to please and flatter their partners in the White House. Still, it must be bringing a smile to those who will profit from the US losing its traditional allies.

The Ambassador, of course, was just doing his jobe and was correct - witness the temper tantrum response from Trump, the petty sulking and language straight from the schoolyard.

"The good news for the wonderful United Kingdom is that they will soon have a new Prime Minister.

Ironic, that. The new PM is possibly going to be the awful Boris Johnson who said that Trump was "unfit to hold the office of President" and "out of his mind".

Also, it's a good giggle that the baby President is fuming that he "told" May what to do about Brexit. He did no such thing, he doesn't understand the complexities of what was voted for on June 23rd, 2016.

Interesting that he's screaming and crying when he's criticised by a small country like the UK but is remarkably silent on the abuses that Russia, the DPRK, Saudi Arabia carry out.

PlasticMonkey:. According to what evidence?

That was my first thought. Does Trump really know anything about this guy or is he just lashing out blindly because of his thin skin?

Trump is inept and dysfunctional.

It seems no-nonsense Geordie Mr. Darroch worked at the British Embassy in Tokyo for 4 years, wants to knight Mark Knopfler and has a Led Zeppelin ringtone. He sounds like a good guy.

The Brits are correct and the apology is spot on. They are sorry Trump learned about the leak.

Trump acts like a pre-teen boy. Is this surprising to anyone at this point? It was bad enough in a 30 min TV show, but now we get it 24/7 news cycles.

We will no longer deal with him."

Only a rich spoilt kid who has gone through life with daddy's money could be this thin skinned.

From his teen years onward, Trump has spent a lifetime being a loudmouthed, overbearing bully. Considering Trump's true persona, the words that Britain's ambassador used to describe him are remarkably diplomatic.

All ambassadors of all countries send secret memos back to their own countries. What does the American ambassador in London write in his memos to his master Trump?

zichi@ It hardly matters, since Trump doesn't read them. Or anything else, for that matter.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

The memos from Kim Darroch, ambassador to Washington, were divulged to a Sunday newspaper, annoying Trump and embarrassing London.

Yeah, London's been doing a bunch of stuff that's embarrassing.

"I do not know the Ambassador, but he is not liked or well thought of within the U.S. We will no longer deal with him."

That's the end of the Ambassador's job, though I'm sure he'll still get his salary until he's replaced.

Despite being close to Trump, Farage ruled himself out of becoming Britain's next ambassador in Washington, telling BBC radio: "I don't think I'm the right man for that job."

He'll be busy being prime minister in another year or so anyway.

As if on cue, the Great Orange Two-Year Old has another meltdown and tantrum because someone told him the truth about his erratic and dementia-like behavior.

The White House must be overflowing with wet hankies. Mueller - WHAA!.... Nancy - WHAA!.... The British Ambassador - WHAA! It rained on my parade - WHAA! And today, Fox News has too many Democrats on it - WHAA!

https://deadline.com/2019/07/donald-trump-slams-fox-news-twitter-cnn-nbc-comcast-new-york-times-1202642826/

He's psychotic - as was shown on the article yesterday, he's a compulsive, serial liar.

Inept and incompetent are compliments when you're really nothing but a disgusting excuse for a human being.

That's the end of the Ambassador's job, though I'm sure he'll still get his salary until he's replaced.

No, he will stay in his job. As zichi says, he is due to retire n a few months anyway.

Trade minister Liam Fox, who is visiting Washington, told BBC radio he would apologise to Trump's daughter Ivanka, whom he was due to meet.

Why apologize for the truth?

So, lemme get this straight.....

The Ambassador refers to trump as inept and insecure and trump responds in an inept and insecure way.

Did I get that right??????

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Why apologize for the truth?

Because politicians play a hypocritical game where only consummate liars can succeed. Everybody knows the difference between appearance and reality because we are all compelled practice it in our daily lives. Still, the truth will out and with the passing of each day the unmasking of Trump continues apace until he stands before the bench of history in all his naked vulgarity as the dysfunctional "king with no clothes" who dragged the presidency of the USA into the gutter. Darroch rocks!

3 ( +3 / -0 )

No, he will stay in his job. As zichi says, he is due to retire n a few months anyway.

I imagine that he will voluntarily all to be withdrawn from Washington.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Awwww..... poor baby Trump shaking his little fists in the air!

0 ( +2 / -2 )

The British ambassador will keep his job because he retires at the end of the year.

He's been rendered useless in this job at this point. Waste of taxpayers' money. I can't stand it.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Whatever we (or he) think of Trump and his Administration, an Ambassador has to be able to work with the Government of the country he's assigned to. How can he do that now?

He can't.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

London should’ve recalled Darroch right away. With the leak of those cables he is, through no fault of his, now unable to do his job.

The old Russian joke about the dissident who got 20 years for writing “Khrushchev is a moron”; 1 for a vandalism and 19 for revealing a state secret. Except not exactly a state secret in this case

And Trump? How’s he handling it? Well, pretty much as you’d expect and as Darroch described ineptly... no surprise

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Anyone recall the Wikileaks Cablegate when US diplomatic cables were leaked;

Yeah, London's been doing a bunch of stuff that's embarrassing.

Like hosting Donny for a visit. Tee Hee!
