USMCA??? Take off that A and what do you have? A war-mongering division of the US armed forces. Think Trump didn't have that in mind? Or, maybe, he's got that old disco tune, 'YMCA', in mind. I wouldn't put it past his negligible intellect. But, either way, it's an insult to his North American neighbours. What was wrong with NAFTA2?

A NAFTA collapse could have caused U.S. farmers to lose access to agricultural markets in Canada and Mexico at the same time China has effectively halted purchases of U.S. soybeans and other commodities, helping to shore up a key Trump constituency.

Trump winning again! He saved the farmers by saving NAFTA and with billions in welfare because of them unfair Chinese. Trump 2020! MAGA.

This is akin to that left-wing conspiracy theory that Obama is Kenyan.

key pillars of NAFTA had survived

In other words, nothing much has changed. But Trump wants his base to believe otherwise. And they will.

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, which borders Canada, also said she would review the terms and was glad her state's "number one trading partner" was "back in the mix."

Klobuchar for president 2020!

China has effectively halted purchases of U.S. soybeans and other commodities, helping to shore up a key Trump constituency.

More welfare for rich corporate farms, and politicians.

It is the same NAFTA! He threatened to take it away to excite the base then waited until the last minute to reinstate it. Same crap, different day.

A grifter taking advantage of the rubes or yokels!

Well, even if the people on JT don’t like it, the markets were more than positive and closed on very serious high, so in the words of economist, Trump hit it out of the ballpark.

Trump/Pence 2020!

Which only raises the possibility of another red letter day for the deplorables. If you want to really raise the odds keep calling them rubes and yokels, nothing gets the base fired up like being called names. For some reason it really gets them to go out and vote, go figure.

Another campaign promise kept.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

How long until they bring in a currency like they did in Europe. Which was originally sold as a trade pack, call it the Amero?

Amen. Trump is the best at creating issues and then knocking them out of the park with a solution that wouldn't have been necessary had he not created the issue. So much winning! MAGMA 2020!

Another campaign promise kept.

Yep! Mark that one up alongside the wall we're getting built on Mexico's dime, healthcare reform that gave us the best possible alternative to Obamacare, and solving the infrastructure issues. It's amazing how blind libs are when it comes to all the winning Trump does!

Mueller 2019!!

Yep! Mark that one up alongside the wall we're getting built on Mexico's dime, healthcare reform that gave us the best possible alternative to Obamacare,

Obamacare definitely didn’t do that, if it did then thousands of people would have dropped their premiums and it wouldn’t have been so much revolt against it and you wouldn’t see some insurance companies leave the exchange so while you are correct that the Republicans did not create a better alternative, the Democrats version was far worse that’s why Obama couldn’t get it signed through Congress, there was no way that catastrophe would have passed the Senate and new we see why.

and solving the infrastructure issues. It's amazing how blind libs are when it comes to all the winning Trump does

Eight years and the libs didn’t do anything regarding infrastructure, maybe if they wouldn’t have been so busy trying to shove health care down everyone’s throat they could’ve done something about infrastructure, but once again......

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Everything I've read so far indicates this really isn't any different from NAFTA.

Trump blustered for a year and ended up with exactly what he started with. Brilliant.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Obamacare definitely didn’t do that

This is what I'm saying. Obamacare didn't replace itself with what Trump promised everyone, which is why Trump had to do it! Those premiums have been dropping like lead balloons because of Trump!

the Democrats version was far worse that’s why Obama couldn’t get it signed through Congress, there was no way that catastrophe would have passed the Senate and new we see why.

Cold, hard, unforgiving facts. The ACA wasn't enacted by the 111th congress before being sent to Obozo for his signature. That's just more popoycock libs consumed from the biased MSM!

Eight years and the libs didn’t do anything regarding infrastructure, maybe if they wouldn’t have been so busy trying to shove health care down everyone’s throat they could’ve done something about infrastructure, but once again......

Yeah! It's not about the not-yet-fulfilled promises Trump has no intentions of keeping, it's about the republican congress blocking Obama from taking care of infrastructure. This is too obvious. Why can't libs see through these facts?!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

“USMCA”?! How the hell are we going to pronounce that? Couldn't they at least call it  “MUSCA”  - or better yet, "NAFTA" with milk.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Yeah, now if Democrats could get half those achievements without robbing people or taxing people or imposing regulations on everything and think about the economy once instead of income redistribution and power they might actually get a chance to achieve something good for once.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

How could anyone disagree with this laser-like logic and unrelenting facts? It's beyond me how libs simply refuse to understand self-evident assertions! The Dems have never thought about income redistribution, which demonstrates they are sneaky! Can't trust em one bit.

I agree 110%!

The Dems focusing on the economy? Har!!!! That's a good one.

No, it’s serious.

It's not like the current bull market started early in the Obama years.

But it started to slow down and remained sluggish until his justly departure until Trump came in and infected steroids into it. And the beat goes on.......

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

I agree 110%!

Cause it's pure fact, not nonsense from the biased liberal MSM.

But it started to slow down and remained sluggish until his justly departure until Trump came in and infected steroids into it. And the beat goes on...

Tell me about it. I'm not familiar with the infectious strain of steroids, but I know about the injectable strain. Anyway, Trump definitely didn't benefit from Obama's economic policies in the same manner as Obama benefitted from Bush's. Obama had it way easier.

Well, even if the people on JT don’t like it, the markets were more than positive and closed on very serious high, so in the words of economist, Trump hit it out of the ballpark.

Because the markets like NAFTA, and they didn't like that Trump is messing with NAFTA

But since this is like NAFTA in another name, that's why they rejoiced - they got to keep NAFTA

Anyway, Trump definitely didn't benefit from Obama's economic policies in the same manner as Obama benefitted from Bush's. Obama had it way easier.

Way easier than to turn around a deep recession? What policies would those be? How many people here were so pessimistic then
