I hate to tell you, Puerto Rico, but you've thrown our budget a little out of whack because we've spent a lot of money on Puerto Rico," he said. "And that's fine. We've saved a lot of lives."

Yeah; if it was "fine" you wouldn't have mentioned money at all. It's mammon all the way with this pretender.

And if anyone saw the recent ABC report; you'll see that not "all" the buildings received checks. Still many without running water, etc.

Call it "Sympathy from the Devil" -- Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth, but no taste.

Except for the political campaigning/complaining of one mayor, the Mayor of San Juan, (a democrat who was/will be running against the current Republican Governor next election, and had forgotten to contact FEMA for assistance before contacting a willing anti-Trump media), the actual leaders in PR seem to understand that the U.S. government, including Trump, are helping PR as much as humanly possible.

Things will get better but PR was hit by two hurricanes.

Crass and unnecessary to mention money. Did he mention it in Texas?

.....Actually, according to Mr Google, yes he did, though the tone was different : Probably there has never been something so expensive in our country's history

I wonder how much he thinks other disasters - hurricanes, earthquakes, wars - have cost the US over the years?

It's like he has some kind of mental twitch; everything in front of him NOW has to be the biggest, the greatest, the best, the most awesome, the most expensive, the most difficult. He must be hell to live with.

He never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

And incredibly, there are people unable to distinguish fact from Trump's fiction, it seems.

His comments are so inappropriate. A thinly veiled complaint about the money. Implying it isn't a "real" catastrophe, which I'm pretty sure most of the affected people wouldn't agree with. Just stop talking.

Trump's only praising himself while waving his little hands about, and leave it to the Trumpers to call an unmitigated disaster a "good news story" or what have you. Absolute morons! And how insecure is Trump? really? And giving the people paper towels???

smithinjapan - and leave it to the Trumpers to call an unmitigated disaster a "good news story" or what have you

I believe it's the news media who consider the damage done to PR, the emotional trauma of the victims, and any anti-Trump proclamation to be a "good news story".  Whatever sells advertising time.
