The looters who seek to exploit the protests should be punished, but the protests themselves must be respected, something Trump cannot do.

His violent clearing of peaceful protesters yesterday so that he could pose with a Bible in front of a church will be the defining, and most hypocritical moment of his career. The actions of a tinpot dictator that will see him voted out in November.

18 ( +25 / -7 )

Only thing they will have a bunch of infected soldiers

2 ( +6 / -4 )

To quote the Bishop Marian Edgar Budde, the bishop of Washington DC and the bishop of the church that Trump posed in front of with a Bible held aloft:

"“Everything he has said and done is to inflame violence... we need moral leadership, and he’s done everything to divide us.”

The Catholic Archbishop of Washington, speaking about the photo in the story of Trump posing in front of the JPII Memorial:

"I find it baffling and reprehensible that any Catholic facility would allow itself to be so egregiously misused and manipulated in a fashion that violates our religious principles, which call us to defend the rights of all people, even those with whom we might disagree... Saint Pope John Paul II was an ardent defender of the rights and dignity of human beings. His legacy bears vivid witness to that truth. He certainly would not condone the use of tear gas and other deterrents to silence, scatter or intimidate them for a photo opportunity in front of a place of worship and peace."

It seems that Trump's ego and dedication to himself now has him ignoring churches as well.

The American military is never to be used against American people. This motherf*kr must understand that.

14 ( +18 / -4 )

There was no tear gas used nor was it a peaceful protest. Maybe church officials can stick to religion not political statements.

pelosi had photo op with the Bible and Biden had one kneeling in a black church

Lots of American, do not have to wait, for their biblical, as they live hell on earth daily in America

4 ( +8 / -4 )

The above picture another example that a reality TV star and lifelong conman sits in the White House.

Trump's posing while under his watch Covid19 deaths mount, the economy continues to sink, millions are unemployed, millions are homeless, millions are standing in food lines and riots on a scale never seen before are happening.

Trump's ripping up the republic. Which is what he and his supporters (US and 'foreign') have wanted all along.

How have cults of personality worked out in the past?

9 ( +13 / -4 )

Oh yet Biden uses one of his first moments out of the basement to......get campaign photo op at George Floyd funeral?

-15 ( +7 / -22 )

Well, this November we’re going to find out what kind of a country we’ve become. Which side will prevail?

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Trump wants something akin to a civil war so he can call in the troops and call off the election...

10 ( +15 / -5 )

What's the military going to do? Shoot people?

15 ( +16 / -1 )

@Bass

Oh yet Biden uses one of his first moments out of the basement to......get campaign photo op at George Floyd funeral?

Like trump posing in front of the JPII Memorial: after hiding in a bunker the day before for a photo opportunity. Saddam Hussein, Adolf Hitler, and Donald Trump all hid in bunkers and gassed their own citizens too.

Bishop Budde said:

Everything he has said and done is to inflame violence... we need moral leadership, and he’s done everything to divide us.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

there was no tear gas. did you not read the statement that was put out by the Park Police?

You know the Park police who were injured by the supposed "peaceful protesters"? They said they used smoke cannisters and pepper rounds, not tear gas and rubber bullets. Because they found a stash of weapons ready to be used once it was time for curfew, so they cleared people out before they had a chance to use those.

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

trump's trophy wife trying her best to hide her frowns from having to take a photo op with no mask as:

Covid19 deaths mount, the economy continues to sink, millions are unemployed, millions are homeless, millions are standing in food lines and riots on a scale never seen before are happening.

All under trump's watch! Worst president ever!

9 ( +11 / -2 )

it was all tear gas a couple of hours ago in every article. Now I see articles that say tear gas and smoke canisters, while others have stealth edited already to just smoke canisters.

By tomorrow, it will be "we never said there was tear gas!" but smoke is just as bad anyway! followed by "its old news and doesnt matter anymore!". The typical cycle of false media claims. so how did these 51 police officers get hurt during peaceful protest, by the way?

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Tianamin Square all over again. Kind of?

0 ( +4 / -4 )

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo voiced outrage at the chaos in America's largest city, saying its mayor and police force"did not do their job last night." He said he believed Mayor Bill de Blasio underestimated the scope of the problem.

Here we go...lol.

Many have posted that Trump will be remembered as the worst president in history. What about these two? Wow, where do we begin. From the jump...de Blasio told us his city was under control and to close schools and bars would be devastating. Then a new jump...uh oh...blame Trump, better get us those ventilators! Then reassuring words of wisdom.."stay home" This guy takes the prize.

Underestimated the scope of the problem seems to be business as usual for this guy.

Im trying to figure out...where is MSM medical experts in all this to give us advice and reasoning? I listened with intent to their medical advice during the corona situation (is it still a situation? I dont see 6 feet distancing rules with the protesters) but what about the effects of long term in place sheltering and the levels of stress hormones like cortisone and the effect on the brain and behavior?

We all know this must be a contributing factor for people going nutso, but nobody is talking about it. Why not?

Sick of low hanging fruit like Trump this and that, its not even low hanging fruit anymore, its rotten fruit laying on the ground. Try reaching a little higher and being a professional.

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

The President of the United States of America, just had the U.S. Military use chemical warfare against American citizens in the nation's Capital.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

They said they used smoke cannisters and pepper rounds

You do know that a so-called 'pepper round' is both a tear gas like round and a 'rubber bullet' type round, don't you? So whether you're just splitting hairs for splitting hairs sake or just ignorant, the fact is the police were clearing out a peaceful protest, prior to curfew, using riot gear, chemical agents, and firearms so that Trump could do a photo op in front of a church he didn't even have permission to be at.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

De Blasio poured cold water on the idea of deploying the National Guard in his city.

watch this..lol

just like the corona...we got this! once it escalates..time for Trump and his resources.

Unbelievable.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

They were not rioters and looters but peaceful protesters so don’t try and deflect. Came out of the bunker to gas American citizens. Inflammatory, divisive and encouraging violence.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

does he need permission?

Look at the photo and tell me what it says on the board right behind him at the top?

he didn't even have permission to be at.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

then how were 51 police officers injured? 13 sent by ambulance to the hospital and 3 admitted into care?

They were not rioters and looters but peaceful protesters so don’t try and deflect

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

The peaceful rioters and protesters...try a new one please

The image of the baggy-trousered poser holding aloft and upside down a book he has never read in front of a church he doesn't attend, in an awkward attempt to ape Charlton Heston's macho Moses, will be the defining image of Trump's hypocrisy that will forever haunt him.

His contradictory statements on supporting protesters yet ruthlessly removing them from the street by force so he could cross a street to pose for his risible photo-op takes the biscuit.

It is this very same systemic police violence perpetrated on minorities and, to add insult to injury, impunity ad nauseam for any of the "guardians of the law" whenever they, whose job it is "to serve and protect", kill unarmed civilians, that is the root cause of the anger we see today on the streets of America racked by demonstrations, protests and, inevitably, eventually by arson and looting. Adding fuel to these fires is the over-militarized presence of "Big Gov'mint" determined to intimidate, "dominate" and shut down legitimate peaceful protest thus depriving the people of their democratic and constitutional rights. The only solution is to comply with the demands of the victimized multitude and dismantle the structural corruption of the authorities who, by means of uniformed omertà, false testimony/evidence, police unions, protection by lawyers, judges and juries and politicians and the cover given by interpretation of laws designed to shield police from punishment for their criminal conduct, continue to perpetuate the intolerable racist injustice that has marred the republic ever since its inception. During all his time in office Trump, like other presidents, has NEVER addressed the deeply-rooted problem of impunity for police who kill, or made any attempt to remove this racist monkey of injustice that sits firmly ensconced on the backs of minorities asphyxiating their right to breathe in "the land of the free".

10 ( +10 / -0 )

it was all tear gas a couple of hours ago in every article. Now I see articles that say tear gas and smoke canisters, while others have stealth edited already to just smoke canisters

Really, Blacklabel, because the articles I see still say tear gas. Fox news has over small article where it claims almost as an afterthought that it wasn't tear gas.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

@Black

it was all tear gas a couple of hours ago in every article. Now I see articles that say tear gas and smoke canisters, while others have stealth edited already to just smoke canisters

You mean like when the right leaning posters on here seem to be debating themselves in a corner, so they get some assistance by having all the opposition's posts erased.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

The article on this website about Biden says smoke canister. The Hill article says "after law enforcement fired tear gas and smoke canisters at protestors peacefully protesting in Lafayette Square."

Basically the peaceful protester narrative is done. We can see the law enforcement being attacked and stores looted and set on fire. Numerous police have now been killed, including some black officers.

So basically liberals just need to be honest. By now, you just have to say that you support looting and killing and burning. You do not have to abide by any curfew. You are within your rights to kill or beat unconscious any business owner who tries to prevent you from looting his shop. There is no action that anyone can take to prevent you from doing what you want to do. Even a plastic water gun sprayed at you is an agression because your shirt got wet and it traumatized you because you saw a real gun once.

Just own it.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Amongst the chaos, Trump has signed a new executive order granting more religious freedom.

Notionally a good thing, but it also contains meat for his Christian fundamentalist supporters who will be able to use their freedom to descriminate more and reduce the distinction between church and state.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Ah_so: His violent clearing of peaceful protesters yesterday

How was it violent? Was anyone bludgeoned by an out of control cop? Were they shot with rubber bullets? Nope - didn’t happen. But now several police have been literally run over by rioters in NY and Oakland. A black federal law enforcement officer was shot and killed. Several other civilians are dead and many injured during the riots - mostly instigated by young white antifa and other Leftists.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Basically the peaceful protester narrative is done. We can see the law enforcement being attacked and stores looted and set on fire. Numerous police have now been killed, including some black officers.

Black - you have lost this one. Reporters on the ground reported it as a peaceful protest. They were clearly moved to make way so that the president could stroll over for his photo opportunity with a Bible. End of. The damage is done.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

The imagine of an elderly basement dweller, in a black church he has never been to, surrounded by black people he doesnt know, the only white person, the only person kneeling, with a cross and a pastor as a backdrop behind him. An an awkward attempt to hide that he made racist comments, spoke at the funeral of a white supermacistsand is responsible for harsher sentencing for young black males during his 8 years as VP and over 16,000 days in public office.

But let him get a photo op/speaking slot at Mr. Floyds funeral (who he never met). elect him President, then within the first 100 days he will "address" an issue that he was silent on or his policies worked against for the last 40 years. Sure.

The image of the baggy-trousered poser holding aloft and upside down a book he has never read in front of a church he doesn't attend, in an awkward attempt to ape Charlton Heston's macho Moses, will be the defining image of Trump's hypocrisy that will forever haunt him.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

in an awkward attempt to ape Charlton Heston's macho Moses, will be the defining image of Trump's hypocrisy that will forever haunt him.

LOL.

I expect Trump is thinking about Moses' words in Number 31, verses 15 to 18 following battle.

Any shred of dignity Trump had vanished with that vanity trick.

David Varnes: It seems that Trump's ego and dedication to himself now has him ignoring churches as well.

And you base that statement on what this one guy said. Trump is literally standing in front of a church holding up a bible, and he's ignoring them? LMAO

No, the narrative is already changing. Did you not read the statement from the Park Police?

https://www.nps.gov/subjects/uspp/6_2_20_statement_from_acting_chief_monahan.htm

Metal pipes, bats and glass bottles were found staged on scene. Explain the 51 injuries of police officers.

But sure "the media" would never lie to you.

Black - you have lost this one. Reporters on the ground reported it as a peaceful protest. They were clearly moved to make way so that the president could stroll over for his photo opportunity with a Bible. End of. The damage is done.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Well, yesterday we got to see our dancing Puppet President dancing again - not from his usual puppet master, Putin - no, his other string-pullers at Fox News.

Notice that yesterday Tucker Carlson goes on a rant and calls the Trump "weak" and that Jared Kushner has "contempt" for Trump voters.

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/fox-news-host-tucker-carlson-unloads-on-president-trump-how-can-you-protect-my-family-how-are-you-trying-2020-06-02

What happens almost immediately? Peaceful protesters are gassed and hit with rubber bullets to clear a path for the Puppet to walk to a church and stage a very awkward photo op with him holding a bible. Trump holding the bible is like Hillary holding a classified email...

Then, he marches back and immediately phones the Governors and tells them they are too "weak" and that he will send in the troops (unlawfully). Gee, wonder what caused all that?

Trump could really be in trouble if Putin and Fox both pulled his strings at the same time - well, luckily that won't happen because they're both on the same page...

Dancing Donald...

What Im trying to understand is...where have the rioters been hiding, and voices after the numerous campus theater mall etc shootings? No passion for that? Or just pick your situation, depending on, what?

I follow these things, also, black lives do matter, so where are the whites who feel so passionate about that, after the daily shootings in Chicago?

Could this be. related instead to being shut up in a room for weeks, and wanting to release some rage?

Any correlation? If there is, that seems rather..disturbing to me.

No MSM experts, unpacking that for us either. Why not? Its not a convenient time?

Sorry a Trump "photo op" or a Biden opportunistic speech...I dont need any critique on that. Just like the

corona, I want some expert to drill down and explain this human behavior.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

There is no reason that the National Guard under the control of state governors along with state and local police cannot handle the antifa inspired rioting. It’s a serious problem in almost exclusively Progressive cities. It’s not for the Federal government to become involved. Hopefully Trump is just bloviating about sending in active duty military.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

How was it violent? Was anyone bludgeoned by an out of control cop? Were they shot with rubber bullets?

Actually... yes. There is video of a cop taking their round riot shield and striking a photojournalist in Lafayette Square in the stomach, edge first.

https://people.com/crime/police-officer-punches-hits-press-cameraman-with-shield-live-broadcast-dc-protest/

And of course there's the Australian reporter and her cameraman who was punched in the face and the lens by a cop.

https://youtu.be/wkf-znzWKRc

So yeah, people were assaulted by the police, by 'out of control cops.' They were shot, they were punched, they were beaten with batons and riot shields.

Don't try and deny it.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

@Serrano

And you base that statement on what this one guy said. Trump is literally standing in front of a church holding up a bible, and he's ignoring them? LMAO

So now a Bishop of that church is some guy because they don't fit into your narrative? Got it!

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Trump wants something akin to a civil war so he can call in the troops and call off the election...

Noooooooo, Trump wants to stop the rioters and looters who want to destroy our country.

He doesn't want to call off the election, heck, he's looking foward to a re-election landslide.

Joe Biden's handlers on the other hand want to call off the debates.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

@nytimes · 13h

On the 7th day of largely peaceful protests over the death of George Floyd, tear gas and flash grenades were deployed against protesters outside the White House as military helicopters swept low over the streets.

So just a few murders of business owners, hundreds of buildings including black owned businesses burned down, hundreds of stores looted. Police getting run over by cars, shot out of passing cars, hit in head with bricks. Dem activist lawyers throwing molotov cocktails out of cars. Antifa kid inciting a riot, taken to police by Mommy and Daddy.

Largely peaceful 7 days, huh?

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

And you base that statement on what this one guy said. Trump is literally standing in front of a church holding up a bible, and he's ignoring them? LMAO

You do know the bishop is a woman, right? Not 'one guy'?

Demonstrators smashed windows and looted stores in New York, including luxury retailers on Fifth Avenue, and set fire to a Los Angeles strip mall.

So much for the truth. Reuter’s can’t even write what everyone else knows, that their are outside forces starting most of the looting and destruction.

One day, Trump hiding in the bunker, thats bad. coward.

Next day he walks over to the church, stays outside. gives a speech calling for unity and law and order. thats bad too.

He is "unwelcome" at this church because he didnt ask one liberal bishop for her personal permission. Despite the sign outside that says "ALL ARE WELCOME"

He turned off all the outside lights at the White House! Except that is was a stock photo from 2015, photoshopped to make it darker. Of course shared on Twitter by all the liberals and not flagged with a "fact check."

"NYC, CALL UP THE NATIONAL GUARD. The lowlifes and losers are ripping you apart. Act fast!" Trump tweeted on Tuesday. He deploying thousands of armed soldiers and law enforcement in the U.S. capital and vowed to do the same wherever authorities fail to regain control.

The Dem logic is truly astounding. Why does the President even need to do this? Why does he need to send in troops to do your job?

And remember just 2? months ago? Trump is incompetent, cant handle the corona virus. He had to send in troops for that also. Cumo forgot about that already?

So let me get this straight, you blamed the Feds for the corona, begged for resources, got those resources (what happened to all the ventilators?) now, that situation has vanished? No more need for those resources, blame Trump and all that...dont need him. So you need him during the corona, but not during a domestic terrorist situation, you got this, but as it starts falling apart, as it did during the early corona stages, you need the Feds help, rinse and repeat?. I guess the protocol is to initially blame and moan, then, ok now I need your help, and once I get that help, the hell with you.

I mean its just bizarre observing these people from afar. I want to understand the logic, if there is any. Can somebody help?

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

The above picture another example that a reality TV star and lifelong conman sits in the White House.

That absolutely made no sense what you just said, really.

Trump's posing while under his watch Covid19 deaths mount,

So turn your anger to China, i’m angry as well that they were never transparent, I’m angry with them that they are doing everything they can to undermine our nation and I’m angry that they are not taking responsibility for what they have unleashed on to the world!

the economy continues to sink, millions are unemployed, millions are homeless, millions are standing in food lines and riots on a scale never seen before are happening.

And yet so many of these democrat governor’s want to keep the country closed, they don’t want people to go back to work, they keep extending it more and more, so what do they think is going to happen, that’s completely on them and the people have every right to be angry, which is another reason why trumps numbers are still steady, that goes to show you that the people are definitely blaming these governors more. They are just helping Trump and they just are too stupid to realize it.

Trump's ripping up the republic. Which is what he and his supporters (US and 'foreign') have wanted all along.

that’s total nonsense, they want the country united, if the Democrats really cared, they were understanding poverty kills as well and they will let these people go back to regain their livelihoods, but their hatred for Trump knows no bounds and if that means to destroy the nation and burn it down to deprive people of their basic right to make a living, they’ll do it and won’t bat an eyelash either.

How have cults of personality worked out in the past?

Pelosi, Schumer....

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

5 ( +5 / -0 )

And with Trump obsessed with his re-election, he thinks having a tough nationalist stance will serve his purposes. If he gets reelected, I think this will be a confirmation of what America is really made of.

It sure will be. America isn't ( even now ) the most powerful country, economically and military in the world for nothing. When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Speaking of lib positions, can you help me with this one also:

We are seeing obscene images of people beaten senselessly by protesters, I mean its disturbing stuff

Are they collateral damages for the cause?

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Looters shot him in the torso & he died bleeding on a sidewalk

Along with the murder of the elderly retired officer, four others on duty were shot in St. Louis last night. They are in the hospital in stable condition. The criminals drew a straight line between a killer cop in Minneapolis to five other unrelated police in a city a thousand miles away. How many more wrongs will be required to make George Floyd’s death right? The Lefts lust for retribution has not yet been sated.

There is now an major difference in tactics between the Governor of NY and the Mayor of NY City. The Gov wants the National Guard to go in and fix the Mayors failed response to last nights mayhem. The Mayor says there is no need. This after a NY policeman was run over by a rioter and many civilians injured.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

It appears to be the liberal position based on public actions and comments.

The "protesters" are seeming subject to no lawful curfews, police have no legal authority to even make them move, much less stop them from hitting them with bricks and running them over with cars. business owners have no rights to protect their business if looters want their property. Businesses are expected to just get looted and no one is arrested for any stolen merchandise, or for even setting Mercdes Benz on fire at a dealership.

All the "protesters" have brand new Nikes, Gucci and Vitton and have cleared out Macys in NYC

But top priority is treatment of the media during a "peaceful protest" where police were injured and its a crime that Trump walked across the street to a church "without permission" and that people were moved away for his safety.

He had no right! People have the right to disobey curfew and stand in his way, even injure him for daring to come outside.

https://tennesseestar.com/2020/06/02/kansas-city-police-say-bricks-staged-near-protests-were-to-be-used-during-a-riot/

Kansas City police officers found bricks and rocks staged near protest sites around the city, stoking concerns that individuals or groups had pre-planned looting and destruction that hit the city over the weekend, the department said Sunday.

“We have learned of & discovered stashes of bricks and rocks in & around the Plaza and Westport to be used during a riot,” the department said in a tweet on Sunday.

Gotta have a stash of bricks and rocks for my peaceful protest.

@zichi: Whatever happened to freedom of press?

Progressive cities run by progressive Mayors and police chiefs. The Left has been abandoning freedom of expression in recent years. They don’t want anyone to look closely at the rot that they have caused in their communities. They don’t want to notice that white rioters are going into black communities and burning buildings and throwing bricks.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

I dont think anyone has even bothered to read the official statement from the Park Police that tear gas and rubber bullets were not used. and that baseball bats, metal poles and glass bottles were staged for use after the curfew was to be enforced at 7pm.

You didn't bother to watch the links I gave and learn anything, did you? Too bad.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

It's hilarious seeing the Trump supporters here condemn and blame all this violence on "the left" and that made-up group "Antifa"...

When we all know that far-right, pro-Trump, white supremacist groups like the Proud Boys, Minuteman Militias, and Trump's most loyal group, the KKK, are our instigating all of this.

https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/security/twitter-takes-down-washington-protest-disinformation-bot-behavior-n1221456

They were out with their AR15s and camo gear just last week, rampaging through city halls and terrorizing ordinary citizens. When that didn't work, they seized upon the idea of infiltrating the Floyd protests and cause violence, then blame it on the peaceful protesters. Roger Stone must be giving them advice from his cell - this is a typical Nixon dirty trick...

Lock up all these far-right pro-Trump domestic terrorists - then the streets will be safe again...

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Peaceful protest. He wasnt hit with a thrown brick, he fell. or something. white supremacists did it. They are known for hitting white guys in the face with bricks. right? thats their agenda. attacking white police.

https://nypost.com/2020/05/30/nypd-cop-possibly-hit-with-brick-at-protest-shares-gory-photo/

An NYPD supervisor lost a tooth — possibly from a thrown brick — during violent protests in Brooklyn Friday night, according to police sources.

Lt. Robert Corbett, who works in the legal department of the NYPD, is seen with a bloodied mouth and blood-stained shirt in photos taken sometime after the altercation. The images were posted to Corbett’s Facebook page and obtained by The Post.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

I saw 6 mainstream media sites yesterday run the same headline saying "Trump says he will enact military force against protesters"

Notice how they all call them protesters and not RIOTERS or LOOTERS.

They make Trump seem like the bad guy by "going after peaceful protesters" and not the reality which is he is going after people who are destroying innocent people's property.

And that's how they get a lot of people on JT. Hook, line and sinker.

Bishop Marian Edgar Budde: "I find it baffling and reprehensible that any Catholic facility would allow itself to be so egregiously misused and manipulated in a fashion that violates our religious principles, which call us to defend the rights of all people, even those with whom we might disagree...

David Varnes: It seems that Trump's ego and dedication to himself now has him ignoring churches as well.

And you base that statement on what this one guy said. Trump is literally standing in front of a church holding up a bible, and he's ignoring them? LMAO

Serrano - the man you are referring to - Bishop Marian Edgar Budde is a woman. But then you probably already knew that and it was a mere slip.

Fact checking as opposed to scanning often clarifies things, esp on such polarizing topics.

I agree that Trump says things that are obnoxious and is not your calming type of individual. What Im seeing from the mainstream "voices of reason" and other "leaders" however, its not adding up, so I question it.

Its not aligning myself with white supremacist or radicals. Is that wrong to question what these people are telling us? Its been nothing but " peaceful protesting and 1st amendment" but images I see from other sources, provoke the same feeling I got when I saw Mr Floyds video. They are obscene. Its not protest. They only explanation I can give is the obvious one, a lack of self control due to this virus pandemic.

If your so concerned about white supremacy and this that and the 3rd, you had many opportunities to protest during campus shootings done by whites. Where were you then? Thats not adding up.

Im trying to bridge the logic.

Antifa exists. Here is one of the leaders, Joseph Alcoff. They thought 2 Hispanics were white supremacists. how dumb,

Third man charged in alleged antifa assault of two Marine reservists in Philadelphia

The charges include aggravated assault, ethnic intimidation, conspiracy, theft, terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, among other charges, according to a court document.

Pope John Paul II, who lived in Poland during Nazi occupation, Soviet Occupation, and decades in the Eastern Bloc, would no doubt be horrified by the rhetoric coming out of the President's mouth threatening to use the military on US citizens.

Trump uses religious iconography, but has no idea (or is too cynical to even care) of its actual meaning or substance.

Serrano - the man you are referring to - Bishop Marian Edgar Budde is a woman.

Yeah, that was already pointed out to me and I fessed up that I missed that one.

At least I get the big picture. Our country is under attack by domestic enemies in our cities and towns.

Trump is going to put a stop to it while Biden whines.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

One would think that "white supremacists" would have come out when white people were murdered by non white police, right? But anti-police is the Antifa agenda, not white supremacists.

Im trying to bridge the logic.

Hate to be a black soldier ordered to kill black people.

When we all know that far-right, pro-Trump, white supremacist groups like the Proud Boys, Minuteman Militias, and Trump's most loyal group, the KKK, are our instigating all of this.

There is a shortage of tin foil at my supermarket. Where are you getting all of yours?

It’s a blueprint to the liberals guide to a lawlessness America.

oh so this doesnt sound like any group we know about? large groups, beating up people they suspect are conservatives, calling people Nazis.

Godinez and Torres both testified in a Philadelphia courtroom on Dec. 13 that they were attacked by 10 to 12 people after being questioned by Keenan about their affiliation to the Proud Boys. They described being kicked, maced and called “Nazis.”

dealing with murderers comes first. Support the honest cops. Throw murderers in jail.

Agreed! And throw the rioters and looters in jail too! Might not have room for all of them, maybe we could put some of them in Pelosi's mansion with all the ice cream, since she's criticizing the president for taking strong action.

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/06/american-cities-are-not-battlespaces/612553/

Mike Mullen, a former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under both President George W. Bush and Barack Obama, rebuked Trump for threatening to use military force on the US population.

"Whatever Trump's goal in conducting his visit, he laid bare his disdain for the rights of peaceful protest in this country, gave succor to the leaders of other countries who take comfort in our domestic strife, and risked further politicizing the men and women of our armed forces.

...

Even in the midst of the carnage we are witnessing, we must endeavor to see American cities and towns as our homes and our neighborhoods. They are not “battle spaces” to be dominated, and must never become so."

These are the words of a real warrior, a graduate of Annapolis who served his country for 43 years... not a draft dodging private school bull with bonespurs.

we get the usual rants of regressive logic where may have suffered injustices throughout Americakkk history

Yes I know, like most Americans of those injustices, and study them

What I find missing however, for ex. in Bidens speech, is the now hundreds? of people being beaten robbed and their property looted. Why is that? He promotes the 1st amendment, but how convenient of him to leave out the violence, or any ask for it to stop, why its unthinkable. Why not? Wrong political timing?

Still crickets when I asked about the lib position on the violence we can find daily footage of.

Is that just collateral damages for the cause?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

All these riots and crashes are happening under Trump's watch

Most of them are happening in Democrat-run cities under the Democrat mayors' watch. Pesky facts, I know.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

What's the military going to do? Shoot people?

Probably, especially if some people start shooting at them. But you have to remember, the US military is not only about shooting people. They possess one of the most sophisticated intelligence gathering apparatuses on earth. These are the folks that can, and do, tap into cell signals, operate data collection platforms that can read a news paper headline from 25,000 feet. All they have to do is watch the events on the ground, listen in on phone conversations, run their very capable facial and voice recognition software in their very capable computer systems and start the process of identifying, locating and apprehending. Really all they have to do is run the thousands of videos posted online and they would be taking care of most of the data gathering right there.

If some LARPing wanna be revolutionary decides it would be cool to take to the streets and get a little wild they would be running the risk of having their image running through the system. Ever had a drivers licence.... busted. Ever had a college ID....busted. Bank account? Credit card? Forget about that, use it....busted.

But you shouldn't be worried about the military. The real danger is the suburbanites who are gunning up big time, as we speak. Over 6 million guns purchased in the past 3 months, 40% first time buyers and of those 40% women. With governors, mayors and police chiefs across the country standing back and letting the rioting, arson, looting and killing go on (pretty much telling people they are on their own) sooner or later regular folks are going to take things in their own hands. Picture if you will almost a million suburban Karens each armed with a gun and scared out of their minds. Scary, huh?

All those right wingers complaining about the protesters haven't a leg to stand on.

Hypocrites.

Oh my, things are melting down in Trump-world....

Last week Ann Coulter called Trump "the most disloyal actual retard that has ever set foot in the Oval Office."

https://www.thewrap.com/ann-coulter-turns-on-disloyal-actual-retard-trump-in-twitter-rant/

Yesterday Tucker Carlson says Trump is "weak" and that Jared Kushner has "contempt" for Trump voters...

https://people.com/politics/tucker-carlson-criticizes-donald-trump-response-to-nationwide-protests/

Now Pat Robertson, loyal Trump defender, publicly scolded President Donald Trump during “The 700 Club” Tuesday, saying that his response to the unrest after George Floyd’s death “isn’t cool.” (????)

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/pat-robertson-blasts-trump-lack-211602360.html

Wonder which conservative or religious icon will be next...

blacklabel: It appears to be the liberal position based on public actions and comments.

But just so we're clear, it's your conservative narrative of the liberal narrative.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

The Trump paranoia defenders are out in force, again, with the poor decisions and actions obviously a detriment to him. Crying about liberal whatever, but liberalism is not the problem. The basic human being that is Trump is a person who would get kicked out of my son's school for being racist, a bully, lacking empathy and respect for others, not having an open mind, and lying all the time. His school is not about liberal qualities, it's about trying to be a better human being.

Trump is a misogynist. He is a demagogue. He has actions of a fascist. Those are not good human qualities.

As November dominates his mind he will try and deflect some problems like his poor handling of the coronavirus(let's all inject disinfectantl!) and turn it to photo-ops at a church. That church condemns his using it for his purposes of wanting to show how his cowering in the WH image must be alleviated by walking and holding a bible. How juvenile.

America is now binary. Many of us didn't want to see this America, but it happened as people began finding excuses not to listen to truth and science, and make up narratives that don't use facts and truth as the basis for information, thus making critical thought impossible. I've never heard a conservative even use the words critical thought, and it's because they know it is based on facts, something they regard in the same light as lies.

Had critical thought been a process for Trump, the degree to which the response to the Floyd killing would not have been as out of control as it was.

But I expect nothing less from Trump, who's buffoonish behavior and lack of diplomatic fair thinking are a staple to him. He will lose re-election. I believe that's why the detractors from the protests are so uptight and crying out in an unending number of posts. They're really scared out of their wits how wrong Trump is, and know even their own supporters are finally seeing the real Donald Trump, for his stupidity and unhinged mind. Ya'll eat up that hydroxychloroquine, it's what the man has said!

I remember the Vietnam War protests. The one in my area turned violent when the peaceful demonstrators got fed up with getting beaten up by "law enforcement" personnel. They weren't all bad, but enough of them were uncontrolled and violent that they gave all cops a bad name. Many of them were good cops, but they had a hard time controlling the bad cops.

When the national guard were finally called up, it was a big relief. I saw the national guard as something that could protect us from the rogue cops. Besides which, by that time, dozens of outside people were coming in whose only goal, it seemed, was to cause destruction and violence.

Better hope that Brian Jordan Bartels hasnt been talking with any non members or non leaders of the non organization Antifa.

He was brought to the police station by his Mommy and Daddy despite being 20 years old. and I am sure the DOJ has all his communications and social media by now. He will be in the mood for a plea deal to give up his Antifa buddies, I am sure.

Trump is a misogynist. He is a demagogue. He has actions of a fascist. Those are not good human qualities.

But they tend to attract a bizarre cult of personality.

Years from now, history books will be asking the question why did so many slavishly follow the man?

Is it a collective hysteria, or that the conditions were perfect for an authoritarian leader?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

I would agree that police brutality is out of control, against all races and citizens and this has been going on for decades. Like everything else however, there "hard" controls, laws etc that need to be looked at, exposed by the media and politicians, you know using some intelligence and peaceful dialouge and demanding changes instead of hopeless dead end logic that ends up in this chaos. Im still trying to understand it because there is a void of knowledge on the subject of the laws.

Im not seeing leadership but reaction to this and have been in this cycle for decades. singing about it watching entertainment about it. We are not hunter gatherers anymore, nutrition etc was supposed to advance us to think our way out of problems. Resorting to violence, its primitive. Kuya is right, people have like arsenals and things, like they are going to move further and further out, creating their own communities. These are facts Ive seen it, further isolation of those in these cities.

large groups, beating up people

Has Trump fully declard ANTIFA as a terror organization? Is it listed as such? If not (and he hasn't so far) then he is a complete failure.

Oh my, things are melting down in Democrat-world...

Trump is president now. This never happened when Hillary was presdent.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Another bungled photo-op of Trump grinning from ear to ear while holding the unwilling hand of his grim-faced trophy spouse is yet again proof that this hapless tone-deaf man has no sense of decency or decorum when stepping out in public to represent his country afflicted by the worst pandemic in a hundred years and beset by the most violent confrontation with authority since the anti-war demonstrations of the 1960s.

Yet amidst all the anger and despair on the streets we can see at last a glimmer of light and hope for the country's future as Americans of every color and stripe march in solidarity together to demand real, meaningful change to make for a better country. Who'da thunk that, ironically, the divisive Trump's botched presidency could suddenly result in such an unexpected unity of vast numbers of citizens who, defying the erratic commands of a spaced-out, wannabe tin-pot dictator, wish to save the country they love?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

All those right wingers complaining about the protesters haven't a leg to stand on.

What right wing protesters? Where are they, the thousands of them?

Hypocrites.

Huh?

You support violence.

I support the rule of law, it’s the governors that support it, it’s some of these idiot rich celebrities like that wretched Legend and his wife or Fonda that support it, they don’t have to live in these communities and once the smoke clears who will suffer the most? Not me, that’s for sure, I have money and everything I need to defend myself and my neighborhood always, but poor people don’t, when these thugs are gone, the businesses will never come back, never and this never ending cycle of poverty and despair will continue this self perpetuation.

You're fine when its carried out by cops and right wing militia types, but when it's black people, rising up against the odds?

So when you see blacks overwhelmingly loot, the country should accept it? When most of the anarchists are white and go on a destructive rampage, we should allow it?

The world is watching you. Fascist AmeriKKKa.

Yes, all the more reason the President needs to put a stop to it by any means necessary to bring about law and order.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Oh my, things are melting down in Trump-world....

Oh my, things are melting down in Democrat-world...

Well, thanks for agreeing with me...

By the way, what do you think of Ann Coulter calling Trump a "actual disloyal retard", "moron", and "lout"...

And we'd be interested on your take on Jared - is Carlson right? Does Jared hold "contempt" for Trump supporters?

And Pat Robertson, Trump defender extraordinaire - is his criticism of Trump correct?

Tell us what you think...

1 ( +2 / -1 )

@ David Varnes: Actually... yes. There is video of a cop taking their round riot shield and striking a photojournalist in Lafayette Square in the stomach, edge first.

I don’t think you are following what I said. These two events were before last nights clearing of LaFayette Park prior to Trumps walk to the church. It should be said as well that the police officers shown in your referenced video are working for a Progressive black mayor and a Progressive black police chief. When the secret service worked with local police last night there was no tear gas or rubber bullets. These are facts not to be muddled by emotionalism and blame shifting.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

He doesnt need to, as it doesnt exist. will just start arresting all of the non members and non leaders of the non existent group based on their personal criminal actions. Then get their communications and move up the ladder of the non group to find the people who dont fund it.

Has Trump fully declard ANTIFA as a terror organization? Is it listed as such? If not (and he hasn't so far) then he is a complete failure.

Last week Ann Coulter called Trump "the most disloyal actual retard that has ever set foot in the Oval Office."

As if Ann is the go to politician people look up to for advice, the bomb thrower she is. Lol

Yesterday Tucker Carlson says Trump is "weak" and that Jared Kushner has "contempt" for Trump voters...

Don’t forget he excoriated the left even more, don’t leave that important fact out.

Now Pat Robertson, loyal Trump defender, publicly scolded President Donald Trump during “The 700 Club” Tuesday, saying that his response to the unrest after George Floyd’s death “isn’t cool.” (????)

I am angry at Trump as well, he needs to stop these people cold. The Democrats won’t, he needs to act and act fast and bring this to an end.

Let's not forget that every Trump fan here voted for Trump despite knowing his double conviction for racism against blacks in housing.

Read every one of their comments with that in mind.

Man, Japan Today has a lot of funny posters, I can't stop laughing. My favorite one is that the military must never be used against the American people. Correct but the military defends the constitution and protect it and American citizens from ALL enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. Homegrown terrorists are free targets in my book.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

The military was used during Rodney King riots, some of these people are not even from the US

I thought the left was a compassionate bunch, you know, universal health care, universal income for all

Im seeing people swing on others, gang up, use boards to swat at women, leave other unconscious, paralyzed? in the streets. Nobody comes to help them, dude just lays in his own blood.

"Peaceful" protesters cheering them on. Where is all that pent up rage coming from? Aint fooling nobody with that systemic racism care crap; they just want to swing on somebody. Understandably, no job no income, its tough, but lets be honest about the obvious here.

Some were posting here that Pres Trump is smiling in the photo. But of course, he has been told its too early to open the economy, no worry about that anymore, the nuts did it for him!

What will be interesting is, if there is a sudden jump in corona deaths, and if the protesters will go back to sheltering in place, or continue to swing and ignore social distancing

Wow, such a compassionate bunch!

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

there were so many here, yappin about Trump never wears a mask

I see human to human contact in many of these videos of the protesters, people bloody, breaking windows

I guess thats ok if they bloody people up and spit at them, in that case the virus is not contagious?

You know its actually kind of sad because allot of the victims of these domestic terrorist, are prey. They cant move away from it. Your not going to do that non sense in places I have lived. They got something for that.

The media is being selective about their coverage; you noticed these terrorist arent doing that in rural areas. I cant imagine them doing in places I grew up.
