"Saudi Arabia has been a great ally of ours."

Right... that's what I'm curious about. Great allies generally make great contributions to a group effort; in WW2 for instance, the US spearheaded the liberation of Europe and crushed the Japanese Navy, Britain beat the Germans in Africa and the Japanese in Burma and the USSR crushed the Germans on the Eastern Front. In the ongoing Middle East crises what specifically have the Saudis done? What couldn't have been done without them? I mean, I can't think of anything except 9-11 and the Yemen fiasco.

Saudi story looking very odd. Khashiggi died after a "fight" in the consulate.

Meanwhile, at least one of the suspects has died after a suspicious rta.

Khashiggi died after a "fight" in the consulate.

Yeah... cool story bro. Several Saudi nationals detained. Top people fired. Man, they'll do anything to cover up the truth. This is so wrong.

@burnibush And the US military industrial complex "may consider" giving Trump a phone call to change his mind

GoTrumpers (American and 'foreign') who claimed Trump was NOT beholden to the 'MIC', 'global elite' and whichever other groups real and imagined they claimed he was going to bash must be disappointed seeing Trump's now the 'global elite's' leader doing their bidding for them. While he's getting richer. But then leopards don't change spots: he was a slimy businessman, now he's a slimy politician, using the WH to make his family businesses profitable.

Any estimates how much the House of Saud is paying Trump?

I can't speak to the temperament of Mr. Khashoggi but he hardly looks like a brawler. So now the Saudi's throw a bunch of people under the bus to protect the crown prince, apparently. Guess we wait and see what Trump actually does.

"Trump"

I want to know what Putin and Xi or anyone else is going to do about this.

@serrano I want to know what Putin and Xi or anyone else is going to do about this.

Why should Putin and Xi get involved in a case about a reporter for a US newspaper getting murdered, especially when both Xi and Putin have each been alleged to have had journalists murdered?

Or is your point that because Putin and Xi are world leaders and Trump's a wannabe leader important decisions should be made by them? You've long lauded Putin, are you now also lauding Xi?
