Odd, he was wearing a navy uniform but they say he was a civilian. Something doesn't add up!

From the article:

the shooter, who has tentatively been identified as an active-duty sailor

The gunman was wearing a U.S. Navy uniform,

Submariner......the "silent service",

My thoughts go out to the families and friends of all those who died and hope the injured one fully recovers!

Is this normal now?

I am horrified. Shootings are coming so fast and frequently it's like the whole country is numb, and there's no tipping point.

When we treat random shootings like weather events something's gone so wrong.

RIP to the victims.

I often hear shooting, shooting and shooting all over America. More people are probably shot to death almost everyday. It seems shooting incidents lately become less big news. I'm very afraid every time when I go to America as psychopaths may have guns somewhere close to me.

Another day, another shooting ... this madness has got to stop.

Dear U.S.A

This is happening way to often.

You a problem...

I don't think you reached rock bottom. What would it take to make that change?

Australia did it after one mass shootings in the 90s. They loved their guns too.

How many mass shootings have you had? How many more will you have in the future?

Still no?

That's the problem... The greatest country on earth, they say that often. It doesn't reflect in your peoples health, well being, income distribution, income gap, addiction, gun violence. Even democracy and freedom of speech others do better then you.

And with a historical anniversary this week too. This is sickening to the max. As for all these shootings that are so commonplace, I must wonder: Is that NRA loudmouth Grinch Wayne LaPierre happy again today?

Recently saw this. The US NRA is trying to change gun laws in other countries too. Be vigilant.

Unfortunately I have been stationed in Pearl Harbor Hickam before and if there was to be any trouble that would be the place it would have occurred or so the sayings go in Paradise.

Outside of Military bases, yes, I'm continually horrified that such shootings occur.

Though inside, with the access to the equipment to Kill... less surprised so.

I wonder what the motivation was - were the Killings Random or Targeted ?

This will be something for the MP to ascertain .

Perhaps a love triangle or a revenge attack ? Who knows. At least, the situation was contained, and not another Mass shooting event.

At the end of the day, though, its really the Families of those involved who suffer - not us. Our comments matter not. Let the investigative authorities do their work and hopefully prevent future events occurring.

"A U.S. Navy sailor on Wednesday shot and killed two civilians working at Hawaii's historic military base of Pearl Harbor, and injured a third civilian, military officials said, before fatally shooting himself."

Bit awkward. Did one of the military officials shoot himself or did the sailor shoot himself?

America and its fine, even on a base no one is safe.
