Even in October, panto season has arrived early. Well politically so.

Boris Johnson will never in a month of Sundays manoeuvre his Queens Speech through Parliament. Johnson is some 44 seats short of a working majority. Heck its possible though, but the number are against him.

Johnson's Queens Speech could more be described as a manifesto for the forthcoming General Election.

It is odds on that the EU 27 will grant the UK an extension, however for just three months?

My instinct suggest longer. Perhaps 12 months to hedge EU budgets with UK continued financial contributions.
